My IPhone 4's incoming audio cuts off in the middle of a conversation...

Just recently - I updated software and backed up iPhone - have not done restore... but - in the middle of conversations lately, suddenly I am not able to be heard. I can hear the incoming voices... but they can't hear me. Call is still connected... any idea why this is happening?

Also I've tried to reset it and it still keeps doing the same thing

Keynote 6.5 audio cuts off in the middle of a recording

I am trying to record a Keynote presentation with narrative then convert it to a movie and post it to YouTube. I created and saved the presentation, verified the recording then exported it to Quicktime. From there, I loaded it up to YouTube but discovered that the audio was cut off within the first minute or two. When I went back to the original recording, it appears that the audio was cut off when it was being converted to a movie. Is this a known bug or am I doing something wrong? Any fixes out there? Thank you.

Hey--could this be caused by the frame rate of the sequence? I just noticed that the sequence these affected clips are in is 60fps, and my video clips are 23.98fps. So--I copied and pasted my clips into a new 23.98 sequence and the issue has gone away. Huh. Oops... Not enough coffee this morning.

Try deleting the problematic tune (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one. See the following document for instructions:

Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".

Delete it and try downloading it again from the "purchased" option in the iTunes store, if the problem persists, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History.

Audio cutting off at the end of audio clips w no change in waveform?

Audio cuts off right at the end of some of my clips... I can still see the waveforms that have the full audio on them, but no audio plays for those last two or three seconds! My audio level is the same throughout the clip, so its not like its fading out or anything. This has been happeneing for a few weeks now, in multiple seperate projects.

Thanks for the response. I did look at the song that got cut off and it's a .m4a file. However, I also have normal audio that comes from an external Zoom recorder in .wav format that is getting cut off in the same way. The strange thing is I've never had a problem with this before a couple weeks ago. I've used this same song before and my external audio is always in .wav format

Audio cuts out in the middle!

I have now burned two disks for my current project. The preview looks and sounds fine, but when I view the burned disk, the audio drops out in the middle. I thought maybe it was a memory issue, but wouldn't I get an error message or something? Maybe I did something wrong in the editing, but then why would the preview be fine? Any suggestions? THANKS!

This will isolate any encoding/burning issues you may encounter. Once the disc image is created, double-click the .img and burn the virtual disc that should appear on your desktop, using Disk Utility to burn the DVD.
Open Disk Utility (in Utilities folder in Applications folder), click on the virtual disc (not the .img, the one below) in the left-hand window. Click the Burn icon. Your SuperDrive tray will open. Insert a recordable DVD. (DVD-R preferred by me.) Click the Close button. Wait. Then click the Burn button.

Tape delay gets cut off in the middle of a project

I'm working on a multichannel 24bit, 48kHz audio project in Soundtrack Pro version 1.1.
I'm using WAVs as source material.
One of the audiotracks contains a short sample of 1 second, that has a Tape Delay effect on it with the feedback on 55%, so it keeps repeating for about a minute. At least, that's what is should do.
The problem is that it gets cut off after around 15 seconds.
This does not happen when I solo the track or some of the tracks.
I've converted the 24bit, 48kHZ source WAVs to 24bit & 16bit AIFFs, but this doesn't make a difference.
I found a work around, by solo exporting & importing the track with the delay on it, but this is not how it should be.
Has anyone had similar problems and maybe found a solution?

For everybody who has the same problem: I found a solution.
Soundtrack appears to end an effect abruptly after around 15 seconds when there are no new clips on the timeline in that track.
The solution is adding 'silent clips' in those tracks every 10 or 15 seconds for as long as the effect has to continue. Not very elegant, but it works.

Horrible exs24 problems..notes cut off in the middle of a sample

Hi, I have a really serious problem with mainstage and exs24. When I play long samples (strings mostly but also various sequences), sometimes the sample plays for a little while, and then all of a sudden the note gets cut off.
Its not a voices problem ´cause it often happens when i only play 1 sample.
I have seen other people around the net with this problem, but i have not seen any proper solution to the problem. If i play the sample again right after the mishap, it will play fine. Can this be hard-disk related? Or is it something with the exs24 that is playing tricks on me..?
cpu and memory looks fine, like 50%
Was wondering if maybe the disk was in some sleep mode, but then it wouldn´t play the first part of the sample, would it? Was also thinking of maybe turn off virtual memory in the exs in order to load the samples into ram, but you cant do that in mainstage i´m afraid.
I have been embarrased on stage because of this and i don´t like it.
I am desperatly looking for a solid solution to this problem.
My setup : MBP 2.4 ghz 4 gig RAM. RME fireface 400.

I also have this problem and I tried A LOT, I talked a lot and I read a lot and I talked a lot and I read a lot and the problem drove me crazy... After "hundred" of hours working on that I think: if you have that problem you cannot solve it with the exs. It has nothing to do with anything you know is important, that a computer has to have that he can play audio files. I'm shure you NEVER had problems with iTunes playing audio files... But the exs has.
If you just want to play samples I think inside MS there are three solutions: AUAudioFilePlayer, iTunes and GarageBand. I tried them all, you can controll iTunes and GB with AppleScripts and this are possible solutions but they are not very flexible at all.
What I found today and I tested it just for a few hours and by now it works and I tried some of my 1 or two minutes samples and they never cutted of suddenly and it's free and I just cannot believe it that my problem seems to be suddenly solved:

Hp touchsmart win8 audio cuts out in the middle of listening or watching stuff after 5min

Just bought a brand new HP Touchsmart Envy 23 and audio will stop working after listening to anything after a few minutes. Been doing it since I bought it. Will work again if the computer is restarted, but still will only last a few minutes before cutting out for good again.

What is the product number?
NOTE: Do NOT provide the serial number or the Windows product key.
If you open the device manager (typically Start>right-click Computer>manage>device manager), is the sound card listed without any errors (?, ! )? If it has a ? or a ! on it, open it and let me know what the status message is.
What is the status of the mute key? Does the key respond when it is pressed?

[Q] loaded jpg is cut off in the middle!!!!

Hi, I am having troulbe loading an external jpg image
jpg file is long rectangular shape (width 700px * height
8000px <possiblely longer>), and around 1.2mb.
I am loading image with listener (onComplete?: I was using
someone else's tutorial, sorry for my lact of knowledge)
Everything worked..tutorial was great..and result was fine
HOWEVER, when I am loading my own image(which i specified
above), It seems like only 1/3 of jpg file is loaded.
(I wantted to make a scrollable image gallery sort of
thing..showing long portrait images)
I was wondering is there any external file size limit in
flash???
or height(pixel size) limit?? or any other possibly related

yes, there's a limit of 2880 pixels in height and width for
an image.
to remedy, import your jpg to flash and publish the swf. you
should be able to load the swf and get around the 2880 limit.
there are other work-arounds, but that one is the
easiest.

Audio cuts out in the middle of recording an instrument track

The recording continues to happen, but I can no longer hear either the pre recorded tracks, nor the track I am laying down.
I am using Logic 7 Express on a Mac Mini with 1 Gig of Ram, and I am recording through a M-Audio Fast Track USB. Play back goes through the Fast Track into a Logitech basic computer 3 piece speaker system. I dont know if this is an application or hardware issue.
Any thoughts?

IMessages to an iPhone occasionally appears with words cut off from end

When sending texts from iMessages to an iPhone, the text occasionally appears on their iPhone with a couple words cut off from the end. It appears fine in the iMessages display/history.   Here's a few things I've noticed:
- It's repeatable. For example, the following message always causes the issue: "man, why are you here? Two are in testing places". On the iPhone it appears as "man, why are you here? Two are in testing".
- It's a problem with iMessages. If I send the exact same text from the iPhone, it goes through just fine. The message has to originate from MacOS iMessages. (I'm using the latest Mountain Lion and all updates as of 12/21/12)
- The full message is actually being successfully transferred to the phone; it just does not display correctly. There are two pieces of evidence for this. If on the iPhone, the user copies the truncated message and pastes it somewhere else, the full message is pasted! Moreover, on the top level the messages app (where you see the last message from all the recent people you texted with), the full message displays.
- It can happen with both short and longer messages.   Here's another longer message I noticed got cut off: "That's funny that you though I was joking when I said I was debugging. Why is that so weird?"
- It has something to do with the length of the message or how it is being wrapped. I can create modifications of those texts with the same length, and they will cut off. (That said, some modifications will not cause the problem, so it's more than just length. Maybe it has something to do with how it wraps the words?) Usually adding a few words to the message will allow it to go through.
- It always cuts off at a space. In other words, it will not truncate something in the middle of a word.
- I have only seen it cut off one or two words before.
Apple really needs to make this a high priority fix. Unreliable messaging of this sort is a deal-breaker for iMessages, IMO. My guess is that they haven't had more reports for this because people simply don't notice unless the last word or two totally ruins the meaning of a text and the other person points it out.
Can people try to recreate this on their machines? If so, please do so and file a bug report (http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html). All you have to do is get on your iMessage app and text one of those two messages to your phone. If it appears truncated on your phone, you've confirmed it. You're welcome to use any of my post in any bug report.

I had seen these in Quicklook at the point where the Message appeared to show double spaces after a Full Stop or Question Mark.
You are right that it have not dawned on me that I had not seen them between words.
It was TextEdit as well (Not sure why I said QuickLook)

The "repeat" is the sync back from the the ID the iPhone is using.
I am presuming the leading numbers are the iMessage identifier that iMessages uses to tell whether it has been Synced
