My iPhone 4 screen just stopped working.

My screen was working 5 minutes ago, now it does not. I can recieve incomming calls but can only answer using my headset due to the screen not working. Any solutions to get the screen working again would be appriciated.

Hold down the Home and Power button for 20 seconds. And try to update again.

Yep! You could also try to restart the device by holding the power button and the home button down for several seconds might get 'er kicked into gear. Other than that... The Applestore it is!

Depending on the age and use of the phone, you might need a new battery. Visit an Authorized Appel Service Provider or Apple Store to check the battery.

My Iphone 5 just stopped working this morning. Worked fine last night, put it on the charger and now it does not come on.

Try resetting it:
Press the Sleep/Wake button & Home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release.

Downloaded older version and newer version of what. Any attempts to downgrade iOS are not allowed. Also, using iTunes with the latest iOS and iTunes requires the latest version.
I suggest that you remove and reinstall iTunes using this support document. You need to follow the steps exactly or you will just create more problems, which I think you already have. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923

Screen just stopped working

Anybody have any experience with the screen just stops working? Literally one day was working and the next day not. It's a 2009 MacBook Pro, and I've done all the updates and taken really good care of it

I just had this happen to me ... only the screen never came back until I did the reboot action recommended below. Got the home screen, but the slider wasn't active, then the phone went dark. I could still call it, receive calls to my bluetooth headset, etc. but the screen wouldn't come back at all until I rebooted.
Just wanted to let you know you aren't alone, unfortunately.

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

It's under warranty for a year.

Please plug the iPhone with the original doch-connector & USB cable into a USB plug in the computer (directly into the computer) and restart iTunes. It should register. Please do not stop the registration!!! You may need to press power on iPhone.

Sounds on my iPhone 4s just stopped working

I have had the phone for a few months and sounds just stopped working. I can still send and receive calls and hear ringtones but all other audio is gone including video, music, text alerts, etc. help please. Resets and turning off Bluetooth have NOT worked.

Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new device.
Have you tried ALL the troubleshooting steps? If you have and you're still having problems, then you'll need to bring your phone into Apple for evaluation and possible exchange.

IPhone has just stopped working out of warranty

I've had my iPhone for 18months now and it has all of a sudden stopped working, if I try to turn it on all it does is display the apple logo and white coded writing along the top of the screen, which leads onto my first question 1) has anyone ever had this fault and do they know what the fault is or cause ? I took it to apple and they said there was nothing they can do see your network provider which I did and they told me that apple have to deal with it as they are not allowed to do anything with iPhones, even if they are under warranty apple only allow themselves to replace or repair the phone. I'd like to know if anyone has been in a similar situation and if they have been able to get a replacement for an iPhone out of warranty ?

The warranty is the warranty and 6 months outside .You always had the choice of purchasing AppleCare ( +if available)
If Apple have already rejected the iPhone for warranty ,that is probably it
