My iphone4 shows a chraging symbol but is not actually taking a charge. Is my battery shot?
TROUBLESHOOTING
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears then let go.
Backup, reset, restore on icloud or iTunes or restore as new.
Place the phone into recovery mode by doing this
If this fails to fix the problem make an appointment and visit and Apple store or an authorised service provider

IPhone 4 shows I have mail but it's not in the inbox...
On the home screen it says that I have emails. When I open up the Mail application there are no new emails visible anywhere.
When I check my email on my iMac or on me.com then I can see the new mails are there, no problem.
If I delete my mobileme mail account from the phone and then re-enter the details, I get the new emails but the problem soon returns. Anyone getting the same or has any solutions?

I've been having a similar problem, and I just worked out it's to do with multitasking. Presumably it's a bug in the Mail app for iOS4.
All I do is open the multitasking tray, quit Mail and open it again the the new mail appears. Irritating, but it works. Don't know if that helps at all?

I have installed Itunes 10.5 on my PC and I have turned photostream on on my Ipad2 and Iphone. The photos sync fine but they are not showing up on my PC. What's the problem? I can see my photos on my ipad and Iphone. I want to be able to see them on my PC when I take pictures from my Iphone and Ipad. How do I see Photostream on my PC?
You have to install the iCloud control panel for windows, then sign in with you apple ID, and check what you want to sync.

I transfered my purchases from my iphone to my mac. All transfers completed. One particular album shows up on the phone but the songs are greyed out and don't play. Itunes store shows album as purchased but album does not show up in my Mac library. How can I retrieve the album.
So i've found the answer to this by clicking on every menu and setting in the itunes store. It turns out some purchases in the cloud can be hidden probably as the result of an interrupted transfer/sync/backup or a network outage. To unhide purchases 'greyed out ' items , go to the Itunes store (on the PC) click on your account name and select view account. (you'll be prompted for your itunes password) once you are in scroll down to the purchase history section. there should be an option for hidden purchases. click through and click on unhide purchases, redownloadble purchases. any hidden purchases will then show up. click on unhide to reactivate and download. This may only work for purchases in the cloud.

My iPhone has the correct Apple ID for everything BUT iCloud. How do I change that. Going through Settings shows the incorrect ID but it does not allow change.

All iPhones sold in Japan are carrier locked. The Japanese carriers do not offer unlocking.
You can not use that phone on a carrier other than the one it is locked to.
Sell it and buy one you can use. -

Yes, this is activation lock. Return the phone for a refund, as it is useless without the activation information of the previous owner.

My iPhone 5 shows the flashlight icon but in a shadowed way, as if it is disabled. Also the rear camera is not working. The iOS version is 7.1.1
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

In order to allow it to be used on a different carrier, the phone was hacked or jailbroken. An unauthorized modification was made to the phone. That modification has damaged the phone. You can not get support for it here or from Apple. -
I have bought itunes songs on an ipad with my daughter apple id. i would like to back them up on the same computer I sync my iphone with using my apple id but they will not transfer. Both iphone and ipad have only been synced on the computer mentioned since they were purchased. Is there any way to get the ipad music transferred to the computer?
And they were definitely purchased from the iTunes store, they show on the account's purchase history (Store > View Account on a computer's iTunes, or you can view the last 90 days purchases via http://reportaproblem.apple.com) ?
You could potentially log into the account on that computer's iTunes (Store > Sign Out to log out of your account, that will then change to a Store > Sign In option) and redownload them by clicking on the id towards the top right of the iTunes screen and Purchased on the popup :

Or do you have a different computer that you could redownload them on and then copy them over to that computer via a flash drive or memory card, and then add them to its iTunes via File > Add To Library ? -
After I purchased , downloaded it and installed it , my Ipod Touch 1st gen restarted and show connect to Itune but Itune does not recognize it, I restarted the PC, the Ipod, now I paid for something that I was thinking will be easy and make my life easy

I have a MacBook Pro and an 1TB WD my passport for mac. I bought a second hard drive to act as back up and when I went to do this the original passport won't mount. It is showing in disc utility but it will not repair. I am told the mac cannot repair it and I need to back up the files and then restore the hard drive. But I can't open the hard drive to move the files onto the new one!
Help me please. I am not very technical so please answer as if I have no clue!! This hard drive has my iPhoto on it and all my pictures of my son, wedding and my current photography course so I desperate to get it back!
