Clean iPhone charging port with clean dry toothbrush. See if better. If not and there is warranty or AppleCare make Genius reservation and take to Apple for resolution. If no Coverage, clean again with toothbrush and some Isopropyll Alcohol. See if better. If not you may need charging port assembly and/or battery replacement.

My iPhone 4S keeps deleting random Notes!

Several times in the last year when I have gone into the native Notes app, several notes have simply disappeared – definitely without my doing anything to cause it. As it happens, they have typically been some of the notes I really didn't want to lose.
What is the explanation for this? There doesn't seem to be any easy way to get these notes back. But more to the point, I want to prevent their loss in the first place. I looked into third-party software and found that a program to restore lost files costs $99!
Why is there no easy way to export the text from iPhone Notes for safekeeping, say, on a flash drive?
We can't even see the notes that are on the phone when it is connected to a PC (like we can with music etc.).
I tried to RESTORE BACKUP, and that didn't work because I get the message: "iTunes could not restore the iPhone X because not enough free space is available on the iPhone. Well isn't that just great? And HOW MUCH SPACE is needed?! I have 600+mb free right now (64gb phone), but I tried this before with anoint 2gb free and it didn't work then, either. What's up with that?!

This problem is considered to be a glitch in the software. YOur best option, if you still need advice or if it ever happens again, is to plug the iPhone into your computer, sync it with iTunes, and then restore the device. Hopefully you can save all the correct contacts that are left. Then, redownload all of your information to your iPhone and the problem shouldnt transpire again!

1. Non volatile random access memory (NVRAM) is where the computer stores user's settings, like time and date, speaker volume, energy saver settings etc.
2. Reseting NVRAM has no impact on anything on your hard drive, or anything else on the computer.

Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.

Its been like this for awhile and I can not fix it

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

HT4623 os6 iphone 4s wifi password does not save when phone is turned off and turned back on

i just udpated my iphone 4S to OS6 and when accessing my secured wifi I add my password and then joins secured network. However, if I turn the phone off and turn back on again the wifi connection is lost and cannot re join until I add my password AGAIN. Tried soft reset and reset network but nothing worked.
Any other suggestions?

If you do a search of the forums, there appear to be a number of postings regarding iOS6, wi-fi security and random disconnection of wi-fi. It appears, as the posts have discussed, it is connected to the use of WPA2 security. Most of the posting, however, have been related to iPhone 5, not the 4S. As far was what was posted, they say Apple has been made aware of the issue and they are looking for a fix. Not sure if that would help the iPhone 4S, because it does not support both bands as the iPhone 5 does. Just remember that WEP is less secure than WPA2. You might also try restarting your router after changing back to WPA2 on the phone, depending on what the router is set for.

I have some information for you that can help you troubleshoot this issue a little further. That information can be found right here:

Check for hardware issues
Related errors: 1, 3, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 20, 21, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 34, 35, 36, 37, 40, 1000, 1002, 1004, 1011, 1012, 1014, 1667, or 1669.
These errors mean that your device or computer may have a hardware issue that's preventing the update or restore from completing.
Check that your security software and settings aren't preventing your device from communicating with the Apple update server.
Then try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good.
Confirm that your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers.
If you still see the error message when you update or restore, contact Apple support.

If I leave the phone (thus not doing anything to it) for an extended period of time say 2 hrs. It will have turned off and you can't turn it back on unless you plug it in, but it's got heaps of "Battery" left.
Ever so often it will turn off randomly as well, and can't turn it on again.

If your iPhone is powering off, this is not normal.
Try restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup. If no change after doing so, your iPhone has a hardware problem. The iPhone includes a one year warranty.

Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...
Note:
Also consider Deleting any Apps you have Purchased / Downloaded but you now never use.
If no joy...NEXT:
Make sure you have the Latest Version of iTunes (v11) Installed on your computer
iTunes free download from www.itunes.com/download
2) Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and Restore

When I try to go to a a game on facebook and try to turn off security, I says that the page is being directed in such a way that it would not complete. This is constant. Can you help me?

When I log into facebook it takes me to the https version and not http. the https version is secure and when you play a game it will ask if you want to termporarily turn the secure feature off. When I do I consistantly get a message that says they (I don't know if it is you or facebook, but it's a firefox message) cannot do this as it was being directed in such a manner that it would not complete. I have to go back to the main facebook page and redo whatever many times before it will do it correctly. Once I get into the http end, as long as I do not log off facebook, I won't have the issue. But, if I logout of facebook, I have to go through the process repeatedly. I wish I could get my acct back to http and not https, but facebook's help is useless.

This issue can be caused by corrupted cookies.

Have you tried walking it into the nearest Apple Store and asking for assistance there...?
