My iPhone 4 will not turn on, lock button has been jammed for months

Just moments ago I was making a video and my iPhone 4 said it had 20% battery. When I went to check my phone it wasn't responding so I assumed it was dead. It's been on a charger for 20 minutes and no sign of it turning on or the sign of the battery charging. Is there any way I can turn it back on? BTW my lock button has been jammed for over a few months so there is absoultley no way to hard reset it.
Please help!

Looks like a Visit to an Apple Store or AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) is required...

Have you tried resetting the iPhone?
To do that - Press and hold the Home button and the Wake / Sleep button at the same time. Keep them both pressed until the Apple logo appears on the screen, it can take over 10 seconds for this to happen.
If that does not work then try restoring the software in the iPhone in iTunes.
If that does not work then take the iPhone to Apple as it may have a hardware fault.

Once you have a proven, working Charger... Charge the Device for a couple of hours. Then try to turn it on.
If no joy...
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...
If the issue persists...
Then a Visit to an Apple Store or AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) is the Next Step...
Be sure to make an appointment first...

It seems that year long delay from having your lock button repaired has finally caught up to you. Sounds like you have some damage to your phone that requires repair/replacement. Take it to a Apple store or contact Apple Tech Support.

Yosemite installation freezes and will not complete the install. Has been installing for over eight hours.

the progress bar on the Yosemite installation is stuck about a third in. Has not moved for eight hours. This is a brand new computer. Has any one had this problem. I can't contact Apple online support as they need a serial number. I can't get the serial number because my computer doesn't work now!

Look at the bottom of the MBP. There should be the serial number in very small print.

IPhone 4s Randomly Shut Down and Will Not Start- Broken Lock Button.

Sent a snapchat and shortly after my phone shut down. I had 30% battery. Can't get it to restart despite having it on the charger for 30+ minutes and holding the home button for long periods of time. Connect to a wall outlet so you have solid power, then do a reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears, ignore the red slider if that appears.
