My Iphone 4 won't open default apps like safari or mail. it will start to load and close back to home screen.
It is just a 4, but recently won't open standard apps like app store, mail, or safari. tried hard reset. found help saying to download an app, but the app store won't load either.
Try this procedure to be sure of a proper restart.
Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)
I would also try: Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings

If you're still unable to open the Mail app, the next step would be to reinstall iOS on your device by placing it in Recovery Mode, then choosing Update in iTunes.
Make sure that you have iTunes 12 or later on your computer.
Put your device in recovery mode.
When you get the option to restore or update, select Update. This will reinstall iOS without erasing your data.

Try downloading another app - any free app - that seems to reset something and the apps may start working again. Try that first. If that doesnt work, try these steps
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Close all apps. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. -

Since I've upgraded my iphone 4 to ios 4.3.3, I can't access my inbox of hotmail.While it's checking e-mails,email application is closed and turn back to home screen.I've restored my phone but nothing changed.It still goes on.What should I do?

Red circle on "settings" app on home screen. It's notifying me of the new iso7 software available I have read the notification but the red one on the settings app on the home screen won't go out as they do after reading the notification. Any ideas?

I need help understanding why my ibooks app won't run. I have crochet patterns stored that I cannot view .
Please help?I have two yahoo accounts and I know as they 'improved' their servers I had periodic outages. It'd work fine on my webmail on my computer, webmail on the iPad, but not via the mail app. And it was stuff on their end. It may be a case of wait and see and you may need to eventually remove/readd the account on your iPhone.
When the issue is on their end, unfortunately there's not much for users to do beyond wait it out or find work arounds. -

Try downloading and installing another free app from the App Store. This has resolved the issue for a number of users. Otherwise, you may need to try and restore your iPod from a previous backup via iTunes.

I own an iPhone 5, an iPhone 4s and an iPad 2.
They are all not jailbroken and are all running on ios 6.0.1
While my iPhone 4s and iPad 2 have no problem updating existing apps or installing new apps, my iPhone 5 won't update/install apps all !!
To be fair, about 2 week ago, all my iPhone 5 update/install won't work but after a day or two, they started downloading.
But now, my iPhone 5 updates and installations have been stalled for a week.
What is happening ? Can anybody please help ? Thanks.Okay fixed it:
First of all make a backup and sync your iPhone in iTunes.
Next reinstall your iPhone using DFU mode:
(FIND HOW 2 GET IN DFU MODE ON GOOGLE, APPLE DO NOT ALLOW TO PUT IN LINKS HERE :-( )
Then choose to put your latest backup back on your iPhone.
And voila you should see you now can recieve updates from App Store.
(It worked for me) -
