My iPhone 4 wont charge with a working charger. I know the charger works because it works in my friends I phone. My phone has been turned off for a couple weeks does anyone know why?
Try cleaning out the charging port area gently with a wooden toothpick. You would not believe the gobs of lint and fluff that get packed in there, preventing a good connection between the charger and the pins. Good luck!

seannybroMany Thanks for the reply, Maybe l didn't word it correctly as l've been searching for days now for a solution,sorry, but l have just found out while watching tutorials on a education program that you can actual edit each frame in a video in Photoshop by importing the video into it. In these tutorials they said you have to download Quicktime 7.1 or later in order for this to work and then you can go through every frame of your video and change it, draw on it, do mainly anything you what, basically what you can do on a photo you can do with a video. It works with one of my AVI,files but not on any of my others or on any of my MOV. files. l just get a white screen the video is there in the AVI but l can't get MOV. to import. In AVI format it shows no pictures but it is there in the time/animation dilation and l was wondering does anyone know if l need to upload a new codec for it to work or have to switch or activate something for it to work on quicktime......but l have found others with the same problem but there all say upload a new codec but which??
any help would be really appreciated

(If your wondering how too try changing your workspace from ESSENTIALS to VIDEO the icon is in the right hand corner near the close down button in Photoshop and double click on the grey interface (a photo uploads) to get to upload your videos from files then you should be able to upload from there....Import in the file menu doesn't work...hope this helps you. I have a MacBook Pro with 496 of the 500 GB being filled mainly by movies, music and iPhoto. I also have an iMac that is also almost completely full with the same things. Sadly, I think the iTunes library and iPhoto library are mostly duplicated on both computers, which is the biggest waste of space one can imagine. I tried backing my MacBook up to an external hard drive, with the plan of deleting all of iPhoto and iTunes after I connected to the iMac and could make sure all of my music and photos had transferred (even if duplicated, I would sort it out later), long story short, not enough memory on iMac to transfer all of it, and besides, I couldn't find it in the time machine to transfer the data from the MacBook to the iMac anyway.
So I got the genius idea to just buy 200 GB of monthly iCloud data, thinking I would transfer all of my iPhoto libraries and iTunes music and movies to this magical cloud in the sky, and be able to free up about 200+ GB of space on my hard drive. Well, I have spent the better part of the day copying and pasting everything I wanted into the cloud drive...well some of what I wanted. After 15Gb of data is loaded, I am now getting messages that I don't have the space to load anymore, but my storage says I have 185 GB of space left!!!!!. I have deleted all of my movies from iTunes and my music media folder (in Finder) but yet, I have not freed up ANY space on my hard drive....it makes ZERO sense!!! Does anyone have any suggestions? What I really want, is someone from the Genius Bar to come to my house and fix this mess.....I will pay...no matter what it cost. I tried to call and set that up....can't even get a person on the phone. I called Best Buy, they are willing to send someone from the Geek Squad...but I have my doubts that they are Apple savy....suggestions?

StephanieiCloud should still help you reduce some hard drive space. Just select "optimize" in the icloud tab in Mac Photo App preferences.
Granted, not the same as completely offloading your library to a back-up drive at your location.

IPhone 4, 6.0.1-contacts are disappearing: does anyone know why?
Today, while checking 2 names on my contact list looking for a phone number that was not there, I sent an email & asked my friend for their phone number. They sent me a text message. When I went to add their phone number to the existing contact, it added their phone number to the existing contact. Then in the blink of an eye, it totally erased the contact and also their spouses contact, all at the same time.
This is not the first time I have noticed missing contacts. It really made me made when it deleted my contacts right in front of my eyes.
Can someone tell me if they are going to fix this problem???...also, when I returned to my text message list, a number of other contacts were deleted at the same time because there were several phone numbers showing on several text messages instead of my contacts' names. I had to go back to each text message and then added each one as a new contact.

I have purchased an audio book from iTunes with my iMac.
Now I wanted to listen to it on my iPhone so I proceeded to transfer the purchase and looked for the book in the purchased section of the store in the iTunes on my iPhone but it did not show up.
Does anyone know why and how I can transfer the audio book purchased on my iPhone so I can listen while away from the desk?

Do you have the right boxes checked to sync the audio book to the iPod?

Note you have to check the boxes in Books pane for the iPod in iTunes to sync books in general and another box to sync Audio Books. -

I'm glad you found the coupons.com app and you might also want to take a look at the GroceryIQ app from the same company. Please note that at this time, printing is only support from iPad to HP wireless inkjet printer. That's most likely the reason why your Canon isn't displaying when attempting to print. The other way to go might be emailing the coupons you want to your email address, then open that email and print from a conventional desktop or laptop computer.

I own a 2007 GL with an iPod adapter. My iPhone couldn't charge or play music through the adapter until the 2.1 update. After a complete new restore of my iPhone, the iPhone's music will play, however, as I expected it will not charge. Regarding BT through the MHI Puck, the iPhone will sync the Contacts & Call Lists, I now have full control through the steering wheel controls, and sound is much better than the 2.0.x FW. Through the 2.1 update, I effectively had reset all network and BT connections; be sure to reset all of your settings on the iPhone and re-pair it again, if you use a BT MHI Puck. And, be sure to wait a bit - the first pairing took about 3 minutes, the subsequent pairings are complete in about 20 seconds.
Not available on this side of the pond (yet, AFAIK), MBZ has an iPhone 3G cradle adaptor for a lot of the newer MBZ vehicles (sadly, not the GL). Mercedes' part number is 204 820 23 51. The cradle plugs into the UHI connector (option 386). More at:

I've only had my iphone 5s for a week. I keep getting an error message of "Server has stopped responding." I need the server to work. Does anyone know if there is a "fix" for the problem? Other wise, I probably best return for a refund and get a Samsung. Thanks

Unlikely. Based on the complete lack of detail of the issue provided it is entirely possible the same issue would occur.
Unless and until the user provides some actual details of the problem, there is nothing the indicate that the issue is with the iPhone. -
Hello, I have just done a download of the new iPhone software and I am still having an issue with not being able to connect to WiFi or BlueTooth. Both of these under my settings are grayed out, so I have no option to even turn them on. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this issue.

Thanks for the question. After reviewing your post, it sounds like the display has a dark screen. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you resolve or isolate the issue.

Display has no backlight or dark screen
Toggle the ringer switch to see if the unit vibrates. If it does, it could be that iPhone is getting power, but is not displaying any image.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
While connected to the iPhone charger, try to reset the iPhone.
If the low-battery screen appears, charge the iPhone.

can you see the wi-fi address in the about? if it show N/A, your iphone needs to be repaired.
if your ios is 5.1.1 or you can see the wi-fi address,you could try to connect your iphone to the itunes to restore and update. -
