My iPhone 4G isn't receiving texts from a group text I'm in. Is there a solution for this?
My friends are telling me there are multiple messages that have been sent to me, the most being from a group message. However, I haven't recieved any. I've already tried restarting my phone, resetting my network, and plugging it into my computer. Anyone know a solution for this?

Let see, you are using a proprietary file format that is only supposed to work with Outlook. It doesn't work for millions of Windows or Mac or Linux email users that depend on other email programs like Outlook Express, Thunderbird, Apple Mail, webmail, etc.
Microsoft has had to publish instructions so that their program's users can make themselves compatible with the rest of the world.

You are causing your own problem by not making a simple change in your program's options. Changes in the Outlook preferences can be made either Globally or by the Recipient.
Follow these steps in Outlook 2007 to turn off TNEF:
1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
2. Click the Mail Format tab.
3. In the Compose in this message format box, click Plain Text or HTML, and then click OK.
Don't know of a better way to fix this problem for everyone concerned. Even if you get the fix to work with your machine, you will not enable all of the people receiving your emails to be able to work with you. That's a losing battle that's been caused by Microsoft.
Now if Microsoft created a Mail plugin for other email programs like they do for their video format's and services (flip4mac, Office Live Plugin, etc), then I would consider using their email program to deal with my clients. Until then, I need to be compatible with many different programs in other countries, on different platforms. Maybe that's going to change when they bring out the new Office 2011 with Outlook for the Mac... -
After upgrading to ios6 my iphone will not open .xls files in emails with the default viewer. Is there a fix for this? The same emailed .xls files still open on my ipad using ios5 while viewing email like they did on my iphone prior to upgrading. I have no special software like numbers or anything else installed on either device. Just using the default viewer provided by apple for viewing email.
The attachment is an .xls excel 97-2003 spreadsheet. I viewed the file in the email and did not edit it with any software. I can forward the file to anyone that is may want to check it out to see if they can help me. I was wondering if there was some way of forcing another ios6 install on my phone and maybe that would solve it.
Is there anyone out there that is viewing .xls files in email using ios6 w/o any other software installed like numbers or any other add ons? since upgrading to mountain lion my iphone no longer wirelessly connects to my itunes via wi-fi... is there a remedy for this? thanks
I am also having the same problem since upgrading to mountain lion. The symptom is strange.
If I connect my iPhone/iPad using cable first, uncheck and then check the wifi sync option, and then disconnect the cable, iTunes will still be able to see the devices through wifi. But if I restart my computer, it will fail again. And I am tired of repeating this exercise.

There is no issue with iOS7.
The issue is with specific iPhones.
I know multiple people with iPhones that have all upgraded to the latest iOS and none of them have experienced issues with the update across multiple models. Even with the postings here, if you search through them, some go back as far as iOS5 and these Wi-Fi/bluetooth issues occurring which clearly shows it is not the iOS update that is killing the hardware. The issue is with hardware on specific devices that is boarderline working and an update is causing the hardware to fail.
Apple offers an Out of Warranty replacement for a reasonable cost or the user can choose to replace the device with a different one (newer iPhone or some other device).
Regardless, ranting here is pointless and against the terms of use. -

Do you leave the email client on your computer launched and running actively checking the account for new messages and downloading new messages while the iPad's Mail app is doing the same?
If so stop, and see if there is any difference.
More than likely there will be. Although it is possible to access a POP account with more than one email client, a POP account is designed to be accessed with a single email client only and there are some limitations.
No such problem or limitations with an IMAP account. -

Okay so basically this morning (20th November 2012) I turned on my iPhone and went onto the App Store to check for app updates which I do every morning, and there was an update for the Wikipedia app and another app, however... When I tried to update these apps, the password conformation box came up as usual and then the message saying the app was installing popped up. But this message disappeared instantly and nothing happened. When I try to download apps from the App Store, the exact same problem keeps happening. Sometimes after two or three tries an app will install but only occasionally. I have tried rebooting my iPhone but with no luck. I have over 11gb of memory left on my iPhone and my Internet connection is strong enough so I'm completely confused! Does anyone know a possible reason for this or maybe even a working fix... Also knowing someone else has this problem would be nice :)

Please, need help. I'm using iA Writer. I opted to store doc's on iCloud and now I find I'm not able to access iCloud in order to retrieve said doc's. A solution to this dilemma would be greatly appreciated.

Look at the Storage List, there should be an iCloud entry (along with iPad/iPod/iPhone, and Dropbox). Choose iCloud to get a list of documents.
To write a new file: Be sure to have iCloud chosen in Storage. Create new doc, write and click on the Storage list. File is written to iCloud.
iA Wrtier on Mac:
Write file and save locally, then choose: File>iCloud>Move to iCloud.
To read a file: File>iCloud>[choose file name]
I should add that files read by iA Writer must be files created by iA Writer, either on same device/computer or another.

I may have misunderstood your post. If my ipad is not connected to the internet, I can still open a file I had saved on iCloud (only this is the "local" copy of it). When I'm done, it's saved locally but when I turn on wifi and access the file again and then press the Storage List icon, the file is saved to iCloud. Are you saying that you can't open a local copy when not connected to wifi? -

The quality of text on websites is quite poor with thin type and fuzzy definition, however pictures are good. The quality is noticeably worse than IE8 on the same computer.
Firefox uses your system-level setting for ClearType font anti-aliasing. Internet Explorer has a separate setting so you can use ClearType in IE even if you aren't using it system-wide. This might explain why you see a difference.

I am not sure which upgrade version caused this to happen. I have upgraded the phone several times since last year and not really a frequent user of face time. I just noticed when I want to test it with my son's macbook.
There isn't a separate app icon for Facetime for the iPhone like there is for the iPad and iPod Touch. Facetime is built into the iPhone's iOS.

i dont know why but IPhone 5S was suppose to be the best device of apple. According to apple, the device is capable of multitasking, high end gamming, and efficient browsing. The device is equiped with A7 AND M7 chip, thou is hopeless. The deivce laggs a lot, freezes at times, battery is draining rapidly.
The answer to the rest of your question is in my original post. Reset all settings "should" fix whatever is heating and draining your battery. (The heat is coming from the processor which is in turn draining your battery) Now if you've done the reset all settings, charged it to 100%, and then 4 hours of "normal use" later it's dead, you may have a deeper software issue that will require a erase and setup as new, or you're having an actual hardware issue that will require either a Genius Bar appointment or calling Apple Care directly. The diagnostics they run gives you a detailed report about battery drainage and what is causing it.
There can only be 3 things causing it,.. Software, hardware or usage. That will definitely answer your question.
I emphasized "normal usage" meaning web browsing, email, phone calls, light gaming. If you're watching a 3 hour moving streaming over 3G/4G/LTE then you're going to see a huge drain. If you can not fix it by these methods, I strongly encourage contacting Apple either in person or on the phone. That will give you the most direct answer. You have a 5s, so part of your warranty is that support.
