My iPhone 4S 3G Icon Changes to 'o"
Recently I've noticed that more freqently daily the indicator changes to 'o' and I can't use any apps, can't send a picture message, foursquare, etc. Never had this problem on my iPhone 4.
I tried "Reset Network Settings" but the problem persists. A friend of mine in another state told me she is having the same problem. Any suggestions from anyone?
The "o" is an indicator that your iPhone's data is coming via GPRS an outdated slower data connection than even Edge. Usually this would be either because in the given area your service provider does not offer reliable 3G service, increased data traffic in the area or because you have exceeded your data plan. Many carriers have data plans where you subscribe to a given number of Mb or Gb at full speed and unlitimited data in the given month but at reduced speed. GPRS is such a reduced speed.
Talk to your carrier about this issue to see how you can resolve it.

You can try two possible steps:-
1]Triple click the home button. You should get an accessibility menu.deselect the negative/black and white option.
2]Go to settings->General->accessibility->and deselect invert colours.

My iTunes says it is synching to iPhone iOS5, but nothing changes on iPhone.
I updated my iPhone 4 to the iOS5 successfully, and then I synched some of my music. That was perfect.
I have now wanted to add songs to my iPhone 4, and iTunes says it is synching correctly, but nothing.
My iPhone 4 still has the same music on it that it did before, and nothing new.
I have tried to change the settings from backup to iCloud to the computer. I have also tried syncing all music, syncing manually, and syncing checked music. None of this changes what happens.
The iTunes 10 goes through the process, says it is syncing correctly, my iPhone shows the icon for the connection, and the music stays the same. I have seen that iTunes 10 says there are 7 steps to process, and my iPhone says there are 4 when I am on the sync screen of the settings.
Can someone tell me the steps to fix this?

Does ATT icon change when not on their home network?
Since the ATT contract only allows a limited amount of off network phone use, does anyone now how to tell if I'm out of their network?
Right now, I'm in Vermont which according to AT&T's coverage maps isn't part of their home network, but my iPhone is showing AT&T with five bars.
Does the icon change to a roaming icon or to an extended network icon if you aren't in an AT&T home network?

Well, as long as you can call, you're either on their network or you're on one that has a roaming agreement. Cingular/AT&T has wide coverage, so I'm not sure where you'd find it. I'll be going to Europe soon (and I am going to get tons of questions from the locals I'm sure)--when I had other phones that always showed T-Mobile, when I got there it would show Orange, T-Mobile, Vodaphone, whatever. It was cool.

I had a iPhone 3G and I change it in to a iPhone 4G 32GB! I have 3 apple ID account. The one I used is <edited by host> and I know my password but it ask me for my security question and I forgot it! It send a veify email the answer the an email to <edited by host> and the email <edited by host> that is my other apple ID and the password work on apple but my yahoo account I forgot my password and security question and it won't verify to my email on to my apple email. so it send the answer to <edited by host> and I can't get it! So Can u do something? Both account r also on my iCloud. I can open both apple account but it won't let me buy nothing on my <edited by host> ! On my <edited by host> that one dose let my buy thing but I had lot of thing I bought on <edited by host> I bought lots of movies music and app. I spend lot of money on this account.
It's a really bad idea to post your email addresess - it's an invitation to spam - and I've asked the Hosts to remove them.
This is a user-to-user forum and no-one on here can take any direct action. If your Yahoo address is not working that's something you would need to take up with Yahoo - have you checked it by sending yourself an email to it?
Otherwise you will need to contact Support: go to https://expresslane.apple.com/ and click on 'iTunes' in the center column and then 'iTunes Store' in the right-hand column and proceed from there. -

IPhone 4 with iOS5; Changes in iTunes to music not reflected on iPhone.
It's really odd. I plug in my iPhone, open iTunes, make changes to playlists (add or delete, etc.) and add or delete actual songs to my iPhone (via iTunes), etc., but none of this gets reflected on my iPhone when I unplug from computer and open the Music app. When I open the Music app, all the old playlists and songs are still there. But when I plug the iPhone back into my computer and open iTunes and click on my device, all the changes are reflected (on iTunes after clicking on my device). I push Sync and let the phone Sync but it still does not reflect any of the changes when I unplug. What is even crazier is I go back to the iPhone and I can still click on songs to play them, even after I have deleted them through iTunes on my iPhone, and they no longer show up on my device through iTunes. Anyone have any suggestions?
This never happened prior to upgrade to iOS5 or backing up to iCloud.I am just updating as I was finally able to get this to work. I went back and synced two more times with iTunes. The first time still did not make any changes to my iPhone. The second time, the sync hung (at least an hour later it was still syncing on step 5 of 5), but I "ejected" anyway. And this time the changes were reflected in my iPhone. I don't know why the first two Syncs did not make the changes, even though they Synced without issue.

My wife received a new iPad Mini for Christmas-- when connected to iMac, icon appears in iPhoto sidebar; however, there appears to be no option to "unmount." Also, unlike my iPhone 4S whose icon appears in iTunes sidebar, the Mini does not. Any insights?
First open iTunes (version 11). Then connect the iPad. Now is it recognized?

I have downloaded every update and my battery life is better than any previous iPhone I have ever owned. I see posts from hundreds of people every day, and this is not a commonly reported problem. While there are a few random reports of battery problems, it is no more than I have seen for any other model or any other version of iOS in almost 8 years. Usually problems of rapid battery drain can be traced to bad apps (FaceBook is the worst offender) or corrupt data being synced from iCloud or other sources (gmail, Windows Live, Yahoo, etc).
The simple test is to restore the phone as New. Do not create any email accounts. Do not install any apps. Do not enable FaceTime or iMessage. Do not enable Twitter or any other social networking app. Use it for a day and check the battery usage. You will find that it is working well.

After I download Adobe Reader all the icons change to Adobe symbols and I can not open them.

iPhone 5 - The icons and letters enlarge and I can't get them to original size. I restarted the phone but it didn't work.
Sounds like Zoom is enabled. Here's what to do.
Use "3" fingers and double tap on the screen to zoom out. then just go to Settings/General/Accessibility and turn Zoom off -
I notice an issue that predominantly happens when I use my thumbs to tap but does happen with fingers from time to time.
When I select an icon (say, for instance the lower-right corner icon to jump into camera settings), the icon changes color slightly when my thumb touches the glass, and then when I remove my thumb, nothing happens.
Sometimes this happens more than 5 times in a row. It's one thing if the screen never recognized my finger/thumb in the first place. It is a bit more madening when I KNOW that there was recognition (icon changing color) and yet nothing happens..
Anyone else having this problem? Is there some way to recalibrate the screen?
Right after I posted this message I tried that camera setting button - 7 tries before anything happened with my right thumb, one try with right index finger, then again it took 5 tries with index finger. The frustrating thing is that the icon to load the camera in the first place (lower right corner)... that one almost always works with the first tap...Perform a Reset...

Outlook & iPhone 3GS: calendar date change issue.
I am using Outlook 2007 & iPhone 3GS - both fully updated.
When I set up a recurring full day event (such as a birthday) in Outlook and then sync with iPhone the dates get changed and moved by a day or two (ahead of time). This does not happen with regular appointments that are only set up for an hour or so. It seems to be only with full day events? The change is also made in Outlook - like the iPhoen takes precedence.
Can someone help please? This is a real pain in the ***.can you confirm that the "software release" for your OS is 10.3.1.1565 ?
I did this to try :
create a calendar event on my Passport, set for sunday 8th, and save it, and close the calendar app
open the calendar app, go to that even and edit it.
I can click on the "All Day" line, right under the participants list, this opens a new page
In that page, I have:
at the top the date
followed by the 7 days of the week
right underneath a line with two dropdown menus : Event Starts / Event Ends
and then a line with the Timezone, and the toggle "All day" that is set to ON
and finally a dropdown menu for repetition.
I can tap on the "Event Starts" dropdown menu, and it opens and I can choose another date.
Do you confirm that this is what you are trying to do?
