My iphone 4S has simply frozen on the home screen. Is there a quick fix????

My iPhone 4S (brand new) operational for 24 hours has simply frozen at the "slide to open" home screen and I can't slide the touchscreen. Is there a quick fix?? I am isolated.

Try a reset, which is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo then release. This is similar to a computer restart.

Without a working lock screen button, you'll probably have to wait for the battery to go dead. Once it doesn't wake up by pressing the home button you can plug it into a charger and it will eventually reboot.

I know it can be frustrating when you run into issues updating to the new iOS. In your specific situation, I would recommend placing your iPhone in what is called recovery rode and restore it from there. the iphone 4S has been in recovery mode for a long time and i have tried to press and hold the power and home buttons until the apple symbols comes on the screen again but it stay on the screen until the screen turns off and doesn't come back on to the home screen and have tried to sync with mac and doesn't do anything it does display the itunes and cable icons for a while but then goes back to the apple symbol and doers nothing what can I do to fix this and not loose what is on the phone at all?

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My sons ipad2 has just frozen on the lock screen.

Please help! My sons ipad2 has kind of frozen on the lock screen. If I press the slide to unlock a white box appears around it and a voice says unlock but nothing happens. Also if I press the time it will say the time and show the white box but again nothing happens. I have tried to reset it multiple time with no joy.
I have also connected it to iTunes to restore it but it say that I have to turn off the find my ipad app, which of course I can't as I can't get past the lock screen and I have also tried to update it, however as my son has only a limited amount of space it won't let me do that either. I eventually came across an article about ipad recovery mode and on the second attempt was able to restore the ipad to factory settings which obviously bypasses the 'where my ipad' feature. So, for now it's fixed :-) thanks again and I hope you have a great new year.

My iPhone AND iPad constantly quits mail, pandora, and may other apps and returns to the home screen. It also does the same in the middle of typing emails. I have spent four months back and forth to the Apple Store with no success. The attitude has been well...I don't know what's wrong. Now the warranty is up. Any advise or options?

You name it, I have done it, multiple times. I have restored and set up as a new device every trip(4) to the Apple Store and on my own several times. The store has also reset the firmware twice. I have spent about 10 hours at different stores tech with no resolve. This all started when icloud came out.

Unless it is a 3rd party cord, there is no cord that just goes from the phone to the wall. However, you will need a cord that connects to the computer and the phone. IPad first gen Calendar will not show month view for March. When you go feb to march the pad goes back to the home screen. Apr etc are all there. March seems to have some problem always going to the home screen. How can I fix this

Try removing any all-day events from the calendar for the 1st April 2013 e.g. if you are syncing the calendar from somewhere else (e.g. Outlook on a PC or iCal/Calendar on a Mac) then change it to a timed event instead of all-day (if you don't sync your calendar from anywhere then try going into list view, go to 1st April and change any 'all day' events to times e.g. change Easter Monday to start at something like 4am) - it seems that there is a problem with all day events on that date which is when the clocks change due to daylight saving on the day before.

Here are some standard remedies.
First try the normal methods to remove the disc. Drag its icon to the Trash can in the Dock or select 'Eject' from the File menu.
Shut down the computer and start up whilst holding down the mouse button. This may take some time, but keep your finger on the mouse button right up until the disc comes out or the log-in screen has appeared.
Open Disk Utility and choose the disc you wish to eject in the left-hand pane, then click on the Eject button.
Some Macintoshes have a paperclip hole that you can insert a straightened paperclip into, manually triggering the eject mechanism.
Open Terminal and type "drutil tray eject" to eject the disc/tray, and "drutil tray close" to close the tray.
If your computer has an eject button on the keyboard, restart the computer holding down the Option key. When the startup disk selection screen appears, let go of the option key and press the keyboard's eject button.
