My iphone 4s is in recovery mode, when i plug it into my computer, itunes can find it and starts to restore and update it, but then it gets to the part where its waiting for itunes, my computer hasn't found it. how do i get my computer to find it?
My iphone is in recovery mode, and when i connect it to my computer it makes the connected noise and itunes finds it, it starts to restore and update but it gets to the point where it says waiting for iphone. My compuer hasnt connected my iphone. i dont know how to make it conect :S Someone help! ive been trying for three hours!
i have, its connected to my sisters computer,it starts to restore then says there was a problem downloading the software for the iphone, the network connection has timed out. what does this mean?

That does happen. It depends on how hard the server is being hit, as well as the connection speed of your system. If you are on a windows system, you will want to disable any antivirus or firewall software during the download.

My iPhone 5 went to recovery mode when trying to install update 6.1.4
A couple of hours ago, I got a prompt on my iPhone 5 to install update 6.1.4 over wifi (for the speakers). I turned on wifi in phone settings and clicked install and saw a tiny message saying 'Verifying, ..'
The next thing I saw was a symbol for connecting iphone usb to iTunes. When I did, Itunes said that my phone was in recovery mode and needed to be restored. Trusting that Apple would know what it is doing, I clicked okay, but stopped short of actually resoring when itunes warned me that my data would be lost and phone will be restored to factory settings. Data is everything!!!
I have important family pictures that haven't been backed up and I don't want to lose them. What do I do? It would have been so much better had Apple update warned me to backup before starting update. iPhone does not even turn on now. Help please!!! Very disappointed in Apple. Their own updates should not crash their own devices, and without any warning of data loss whatsoever.

Please Help..firstly dont panic my friend.. if your phone is not turning ON, try a hard reset
Press and Hold down the Lock button [wch is on top] and the Home button...hold both of em together for 10 secs or till the time you see tghe apple logo
once you see the apple logo release the keys the phone will come back to life
if you find the the handset is in recovery mode you have no other option but to restore the device. Sorry but tht is the only thing you can do. good luck -

hello, im asking for help because my iphone 3g/3gs (not sure) went into recovery mode after attempting to update to ios 5. now the thing is that.... i need to restore it because its my only phone and im still paying for service. but the point is that i want to restore it so i can use it again but instead iTunes is giving me error 3194, which means my phone is not eligible for restore? i just want to restore it so i can deactivate it and use it as an ipod. all help appreciated!
Open iTunes. plug in your iPhone to the usb-port while holding the home button pressed. Your bricked phone should now show up in iTunes.

I was trying to update to the latest verson of iOS7 tonight my phone got stuck in Recovery Mode. Now even when I try to recover it from iTunes it gives me an error. Please help
Download tinyumbrella and click on "exit recovery mode".

My iPhone 3GS has gone into "Recovery Mode" and ive tried to restore it. When it reaches the firmware it stops and my iPhone restarts and i get an error message saying "The iPhone 'iPhone' could not be restored. An unknown error has occured(1)." Ive tried putting it into DFU mode but it doesn't seem to work (its like it is in a loop). Ive tried different firmwares such as 3.1.3 and 4.1 and it still stops at the firmware section. The iPhone was new out of the box about 4-5 days ago and i get this.
Any suggestions please post below this thread.

So you're trying to set up your wife's phone as a new device? Just go to settings > general > reset > erase all content and settings, and you'll get a new device

My iphone is failing to turn on when i plug it into a computer
so a couple of weeks ago i was at work and my iphone randomly went into the connect to itunes screen and i didnt know why but i turn my phone on and off and it was fine since then my iphone has slowly been dieing of batterie when i had tones of charge it started turning off at 10% then 15% then 20%, 40%, 50%, 80% 95% and now the only way i can have it on is if i have it constanly charging but then the other day it came on with the connect to itunes if i connect it to a charger it goes to the connect to itunes screen but if i try and connect it to a computer to do that its just goes to the loading screen for 5 seconds then turns off then turns on for 5 seconds ect. i left it there for a hour or so to see if i got lucky and it would turn on and it crashed my computer :S i NEED HELP i really need my phone for work can some one please help me fix it? im not very technical person so if some one can fix it i would be very greatful and also i dint really understand how to setup an appoint ment with the apple store if someone could explain that also
It is usually given as a communication error between Apple, iTunes (your computer), iPhone. Somewhere they are not communicating, so the iOS you are trying to install cannot be approved by Apple. Trouble shooting steps include, making sure you have Current iTunes installed, make sure your Hosts file of computer is not blocking Apple. Try restoring on another computer.

IPhone won't stay in Shuffle Mode when I plug it into my car
I have a Nissan Cube and whenever I plug in my iPhone or any other iPod it immediately takes it out of shuffle mode and plays the songs in order. I just want to be able to hit shuffle and listen to my music on shuffle!

I have a home network which services:
Apple TV
Air port express
Mac book pro
I phone
All the above wrok perfectly.
I have a mac Mini which will join the network and operates fine but keeps dropping the internet after 30 secods of connection?
If I reset everything in the diagnostics box it will rejoin the network but then drops it again !!!

System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.
The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.
If using Wifi/Airport...
Instead of joining your Network from the list, click the WiFi icon at the top, and click join other network. Fill in everything as needed. -
I received a prompt on the screen of my Iphone 4S to update my IOS to IOS7. I clicked on "Start" and went thru and supplied all the requested info. It asked me for an alternate back-up E-mail address, I entered this on the screen and when I clicked on "Next" it would go no further on this setup. Now I can't do anything because it's like it totally froze up. I can't even turn my phone off nor go forward or anything. What can I do to turn my phone off and totally stop this update???
