My iphone 4s is just saying searching

i cant use it or talk or call...ive tries to take my sim card out but nothing happens and i try to turn it off but it wont respond

Okay so I've tried holding the front button with top right, but still doesn't turn on. Went onto the iPad and tried the "find my iPhone" app and sent out an alert. Didn't work immediately, but after I took my sim out, it beeped. Please help...any assistance would be massively appreciated...early Xmas present!!!:)

Yesterday morning, my phone decided to kick me of my network and not let me back in. In the top left corner, it just says 'Searching...'. I have tried restarting my phone, resetting all settings and resetting network settings and nothing has decided to work for me. I then went to reset my phone but it will not let me log out of 'Find my Phone'. Therefore it did not allow me to reset my phone.

You'll have to unlock the phone in icloud.com/find to be able to get pass the activation lock.

My iPhone 3gs does not hold signal and just says "searching" this happened after I updated to 5.1.1. What can I do to fix it.

Ever since i updated to 5.1.1 my phone just says "searching". I live in a highly populated area with many at&t towers, and this has made me pretty much despise apple, concidering that i've been without a phone for the past week. What do I do to fix it? If it is a software issue.

Since this morning, on top left corner where it would have the carrier name along with 3G,4G (etc.) it just says "searching..."

No, it was not jailbroken. And now because it's in this loop, there's no ability to restore and such on itunes as the only option now is ever 'eject'.

I have called the *228 and it said it reprogramed my phone. walked away from my phone and it found service again for like 2 minutes and then went back to searching. This is pathetic, I basically have a touch now. I have hear several people have had this problem and it seems even after the phone is replaced they still have the problem. I have first a question. When it states to activate a phone press 1, did you do it? If not try it.
The second thing I would recommend is to simply change the phone number either online through my Verizon web portal or call customer service and have them change your number.
Then wait about 20 minutes and see if the problem has gone away.
Since the micro Sim is only good for overseas unlocked use; I believe a *228 send and select option 1 will set up your device on the Verizon network. You may just try doing that without changing your phone . Hey give it a try what can it hurt?

Have you already confirmed your Mac as a trusted device? Try this:
Lauch iTunes.
Connect the Phone/iPad
When it asks you to trust it, say yes.
Now try again to import.

Activated iPhone 4, but can't get any service...just says "Searching..."

So I purchased an iPhone 4 and activated it with my number. Verizon account says phone is activated with my number, and I set it up with iTunes and all that good stuff. However, I can't get any service at all. The rest of my family all has iPhone 4 and they get 3G coverage in our house no problem, but I can't seem to get service anywhere. I have tried everything in the book; reset network settings, reset all settings on phone, soft reset, updated to newest IOS, dialed *228 and pressed 2 to get new PRL, turned it on and off multiple times, etc . Still can't seem to get service, just keeps saying "Searching.." where the bars should be. Just wondering if there are any other steps I need to take. Appreciate any and all feedback.

Thank you for providing the details of the issue you are experiencing with the in-app purchase for GarageBand.
The first thing I recommend is quitting and relaunching the applications on your iPhone:
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.

If you are still seeing the same issue after quitting and relaunching the GarageBand app, I recommend restarting your phone and then resetting if it's still not working:
Restarting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Note: Reset your device only if you are unable to restart it.
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

The other thing to check is to confirm that both you and they have a good wifi / 3G / 4G connection. If it does not connect, stop it and then try again quite quickly. The servers for your area might simply be busy.

All you can connect via BT are headsets and keyboards. You cannot connect to your Galaxy or laptop. That's why it says "not supported."

Maybe Vodafone can help you by contracting the same contract form that your friend has/had: that was what the subsidy paid for. Anyway you should arrange it with Vadafone, I heard nowadays they will unlock it when the contract period has expired.
