my new iphone 4 is stuck with "USB connect to itunes". I put it in recovery mode last night. Itunes recognizes the phone and says it's in recovery mode, but when I do a restore, nothing changes.
it says "itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode. you must restore this iphone before it can be used with itunes." I click OK
then I click the restore button
Then the box says "Are you sure you want to restore the iphone to it's factory settings? all of your.....etc." I click Restore and Update
then it goes into software update
at the end of the software update it says "Itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode...."
All this time, the screen of the iphone stays on with USB to Itunes
I might add that while the phone was in it's first attempt at recovery mode, it was accidentally unplugged.

PLEASE HELP!!!Hold down the Home and Power button to shut off the iPhone. Keep it disconnected from the computer. Then, hold down the Home for 20 seconds. Connect it to the computer while continuing to hold down the Home button. Wait for iTunes to say your iPhone is in Recovery mode. Then, restore.

Is there anyway I can get buy a Moto X customized phone? I spent most of the day talking with Motorola and Verizon.. it seems the two companies need to have a chat on how to freakn work together to order this phone online. One thing that I finally had to do when I got my phone on MotoMaker was to buy it outright, after getting an account with Motorola--that way I could get a customized one with 32GB storage. I recall that I could not get it in that size with the usual contract term with Verizon. The Edge option for some reason was not available to me either, don't recall why.
But by buying it through Motorola credit, I could spread the purchase price over 12 months--kind of Edge lite. Then when my contract status changed over to month-to-month instead of the old-fashioned 2 year system, my line charges went down to $15 per month, as it would using the Edge option. -
i recently tried to autofill a song from my cousins computer and it deleted all my songs but 24. and when i go to "on this iphone" it shows all my previous music. is there anyway i can get my music back?

Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.

I backed up my iPhone to my computer before I did the ios 8 update and now when i go t restore it it tells me there isnt enough space on the iphone. I lost half of my pictures in my camera roll. Is there anyway i can get these back?

If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple IDand that ID is a previous version of your current ID, not an entirely different one.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

If you activated "Find my iPhone", you could log into your iCloud account and wipe the phone remotely. If you have a backup of your device on your computer or iCloud, you can restore from that backup if you have your new device.

Is there anyway I can get it installed?No. This question gets asked daily...FaceTime has been permanetly removed from your phone at the request of the Saudi government, there is no way to get it on your phone. Sell your phone & purchase a phone elsewhere if you want FaceTime.

I have a iphone 4 with no SIM trey hole. Is there anyway i can get the serial number without using itunes? My iphone is disabled and will not connect to my computer because it is locked.
Why do you need the serial number? You could get it if you'd ever synced it to that copy of iTunes before, but I'm guessing that's not the case. You need to put the phone into recovery mode and restore it if it's disabled now. There really isn't any other choice.

No. If there was a way of getting hold of the password, it wouldn't be much of a security system, would it? The backup is lost if you can't remember.

The photos and videos were obviously taken before I plugged it in and I didn't get a chance to back it up. It just synced and erased everything once I plugged it in. The photos and videos were very important to me and it would mean everything to me to get them back. Please help.There is more to the story than you're letting on. Possibly prompts from iTunes on your compute when you plugged in the phone that you didn't read before selecting an option...
The bottom line is, if they are not on your computer as a result of the sync, and you didn't back them up previously, then they are gone.
