My iphone 4S keeps crashing and restarting..hellllppppp?
I have a iPhone 4S and its been happening for about a week now. It decides to freeze, then the screen goes dark with little lines, then restarts with the apple logo. It usually does when I open camera based apps like snapchat and instagram..it does it on my camera too. But it also does it randomly like if I'm going to open a text from the lock screen, about to answer a phonecall...or just simply decides to do it when I'm not even using it! It's really getting annoying and I really can't afford for my phone to die. I really dont know whats up with it..
Hello Tyeman,
I know crashing app can be frustrating. I have located an article that will walk you through a series of troubleshooting steps:
iOS: An app you installed unexpectedly quits, stops responding, or won’t open
http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1702
Symptoms
Learn what to do if you see one of these issues with an app you downloaded from the App Store on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:
The app unexpectedly quits
The app stops responding
You can’t open the app
Thank you for contributing to Apple Support Communities.

Iphone 4 Keeps crashing and restarting, No help from Applecare
My iPhone 4 keeps crashing and restarting and AppleCare is unable to duplicate the issue or resolved the issue.
Recently my iphone randomly started crashing or it would freeze then i have to restart using power and home button, These are few things that I have already tried to resolve the issue:
1: Restore to factory settings and start over from scratch.
2. Deleted recently updated apps to see which one could be causing the issue, but the issue is still there.
3. Re-downloaded ios 5.1 and did a fresh restore.
After doing all this I called Applecare and they suggested to send in my phone and they will replace it and send me a new one since Im still having the issue after doing all of the above. Today I recieved my phone back from Applecare stating that the issue was resolved or not duplicated. So I did a restore once again and from one of the saved files that I had setup as a new phone. In the last 6 hours my phone has froze once, and crashed twice. I called Applecare again and he suggested to send the iphone in again and he will put in the notes to give it max time to detect the issue.
Are there any other alternatives? The closest Apple store is 140 miles from my house and Im fedup with sending in the phone and getting it back w/o the issue being solved. Thanks for the help in advance.Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, resest, restore from backup, restore as new.
If you still have problems after going through ALL the recommended troubleshooting steps, then you likely have a hardware issue. You'll need to bring your phone into Apple for evaluation. -
My iphone 4 keeps crashing and restarting.
I just bought my iphone today and it having the same problem. It keeps crashing and going to black then restarting. With either a red or yellow color that is coming up over the screen. What's going on and how can I get this phone to work?
Follow the steps below to put the iPhone into recovery mode and restore the software:
1. Unplug the iPhone from the computer and make sure its turned off.
2. Hold down the home button and plug the iPhone into the computer
3. Keep holding down the home button until the connect to iTunes screen appears on the phone
4. Click "Restore" in iTunes
5. When the iPhone is finished restoring, make sure you set it up as a new iPhone and do not restore from a backup.
If the problem still happens after following the steps above and restoring the software, take it back to where you bought it and get a replacement because it is most likely faulty hardware. -
Troubleshooting help needed: My iMac keeps crashing and restarting with a notice: "Spinlock application timed out" What can I do?
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the page that opens.

In the interest of privacy, I suggest you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header and body of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.) My imac OS 10.8.4 keeps crashing and restarting "due to problem"
My imac running OS X 10.8.4, with the group update installed keeps crashing and restarting itself at various intervals and running different software each time. This last time, I tried to double check the 10.8.4 group update was installed, ran it and the install seemed to complete, but then upon restart, I still got the "your computer was restarted due to a problem" message. I also got this message when I restarted in safe mode - and I selected the restart from the apple menu.
Here is the latest Problem Report, below. Please let me know what additional information might be helpful to help figure this out. It's making it impossible to get any work done.

My ipad keeps crashing and restarting when I try to open camera
My ipad keeps crashing and restarting when I try to open camera. Whenever I attempt to open my camera, the screen turns black, and then the ipad crashes and restarts on its own. Everything else works fine. Is anyone familiar with this problem?
You can't upgrade to iOS 7 you can only upgrade to iOS 7.1.
In case that 7 is a typo what is the error that is occurring? -
My Final Cut Pro keeps crashing and restarting the computer what could be the problem?
My computer keeps crashing and then restarting whenever I try to use my Final Cut Pro X. I have an iMac with OSX 10.9.2 and 12GB of memory
there is an ATI Radeon Hd 5750 1024 MB Graphics Card, I just don't understand why things are not working at all.
What can I do to ensure everything is compatible and there is nothing I am missing.Whatever the cause, please return to this forum and tell us what you did or had done to get your system working again.
There is no direct connection between FCPX and restarting the Macintosh that I am aware of. You haven't said if you can actually launch FCPX and then something initiates a restart. And you haven't said what error you see, if any. Nor have you actually said if FCPX has ever worked on that machine. Vital information.
If you search this FCPX forum, you will see that other users who have had restarting issues have not reported back to tell us about their solutions. ON other Apple forums, perhaps those related to your specific hardware and version of Mavericks, you will find several obscure and seemingly unrelated restart issues.
I have not had andy Macintosh restart issues for many, many years. My experience with Macs is that restarts are almost always hardware-based, usually incompatibility with some weird third party rig like a USB repeater, firewire adapter, cereal box keyboard, cheap monitor, ancient card reader, or even an oddball sound system. Start by disconnecting everything.
Hope you get it figured out. -
The iTunes sync keeps crashing and saying that the device cannot be found. I have bought a new cable recently off eBay and it manages to charge my iPhone when I plug it into my macbook but its not allowing me to sync or import pictures.

HT4623 iPhone 4 keeps freezing and restarts by itself
I just got an iPhone 4 as a gift and I've been using it this past couple of days but it keeps freezing and restarting by itself, since I Sync it with my mac mini is suppose to be up to date, any tips?
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for phone to restart (no data will be lost).

Brand new Macbook Pro keeps crashing and restarting - Mavericks
Hey guys, I just got a new Macbook Pro on Monday and my first time turning it on it was perfect, the next day I turned it on and kept crashing and "Restarting due to a problem", it wouldn't even make to to the log in page. Every time I power it up now I get the same issue over and over, once I make it passed the log in it is usually fine but does crash sometimes randomly but not much.
I have read here that updating to Mavericks has caused this problem but surely when it came with it and is less than a week old it should be fine? (I'm confused as to why the report says my Mac is Mid 2012, I just bought it!!) Also the only software I have installed is Microsoft Office. I do have Silverlight Plug in installed for Netflix which I read can be an issue with Mavericks.
I downloaded EtreCheck and this is the report I have. Please any help will be great!

My iPad 3 64GB keeps crashing and restarting (3rd Generation 2012)
Last night I was playing on my iPad 3 64GB (Wifi only) and then all of a sudden it crashed then restarted itself.
This happened again about 10 minutes later,
and then again about 5 minutes later,
and now it happens constantly every 2 minutes.
I cant restore it because when its connected to my iTunes, iTunes thinks im unplugging it every 2 mins so dont have enough time to try and restore it.
Also if i turn it off whilst its on charge it turns itself on again and gets into its crashing and restarting cycle.
I've tried reseting it to factory settings on my iPad (thinking that a dodgy app was to blame) and this did nothing, now i just have an empty broken iPad 3I called Apple and went through the whole "im not just being a retard" sequence. They then believed the problem was genuine and told me to go to an apple store.
Meanwhile the guy on the phone from apple told me how to put in into DFU mode (something like that) by:
1.holding the lock and home buttons until it reset,
2. continuing to hold the home button until the device asks to be connected to itunes.
This managed to freeze my screen - which was a result in my opinion as it genuinely looked broken and therefore guarenteed me a swap from apple. but on my way home i noticed that my iPad was continuing to heat up to the point where i feared it setting alight! so i tunred it off. Then when it turned it back on it worked fine!
But regardless of this i had lost faith in my iPad and took it to the apple store to see the "Geniuses" who very kindly apologised and swaped it for a brand new one which is working fine - touch wood. -
My mac keeps crashing and restarting.
While i'm using iMovie and it's features, my mac crashes and restarts. This all started after I updates to Yosemite and the corresponding app updates. Any similar issues and successful troubleshooting methods? Its very frustrating.
This is in the report upon restart...

My iPad keep crashing and restarting
I have very common apps on my ipad and it keeps restarting very frequently even when iam not using that much of apps
Immediately after installing iOS 7, my sister’s iPad 2 started crashing during ALL apps and restarting. She couldn’t go for longer than 10 seconds without a crash.
Took it to Apple Store and they did everything to try to fix it, and nothing worked, including:
Erase all content and settings and restore from back-up.
Erase all software and firmware, set up as new, did NOT restore back-up, and install iOS 7.
It kept crashing. So it was an internal problem with the iPad that wouldn’t work with iOS 7.
Her iPad 2 was out of warranty, but because of the software issue making it impossible for the device to work, they gave her a new one! Installed iOS 7 at the store (were there for 4 hours!) and the new one is working fine.
