My iphone 4s runs out of battery too quickly!

My battery only last about 2 hours, when before I could use my iphone for the whole day. I frequently delete background apps, have my brightness to as low as it can be, and I have turned off basically everything to save battery!

Have you tried a Restore as New  >  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137

Why does my iphone 4s run out of battery so quick?

What do you mean by 'quick'? If you mean a few hours then I think it is normal (it's normal for me: 4+ hours for me depending on what I use it for). If you play apps with really good graphics it will make the battery go quicker. If you don't use it for much, then the battery might have gone out-of-sync with the battery percentage it thinks it has (I am not sure if this happens with apple devices though)

  • Nokia x6 runs out of battery too quickly, maybe bc...

    Hello,
My nokia x6 runs out of battery in 5/6 hours without being in use.
This began to happen one day, when I was listening to music in the music player and the screen froze and didn't respond. I tried everything, but the only thing that worked out was removing the battery.
Since then, when I try to access the music player, the screen goes black and doesn't show anything I press the red button to hide the application. It shows me the menu and says that music player is hidden. When I try to close it, nothing happens.
5/6 hours after I charged the battery, it runs down and when I turn it on again, there's no sign of the music player being hidden, but when I try to open it, it does what I've mentioned before.
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you very much.

before the hard reset you should make a backup using ovi suite. the hard reset will only delete the contents of the phone C: memory.
make sure the device is switched off.
now press and hold the green (answer) key + the red key and the camera button. while holding those buttons switch on the device, don't release the buttons until you see the "country selector" list. if you don't see that, do it again.

My iphone 4s gets hot and runs out of battery very quickly

you should avoid keeping it in extreme temperatures, use it as little as possible, and avoid overcharging which means that you should unplug your iphone as soon as it hits 100% battery

  • I left the battery of my iphone 4 run out of battery and know it does not recharge

yesterday i forgot to recharge my iphone4 when it was nearly out of battery so when i wanted to use it today it was already dead
so i put the phone on recharge but it looks like it does not recharge and i cannot even turn it on.
can anyone please inform me of what the problem is and what should i do.

It takes up to 15-20 minutes of recharging after auto-shutoff for the phone to restart.
    1. Charge with AC adaptor for 1 hour.
    2. If phone has not restarted, reset iPhone (no data loss):  Press both home and power buttons for up to 30 seconds, releasing when the Apple logo appears
If no signs of life after a reset, there is a hardware failure that needs evaluation by Apple or whoever provides iPhone service in your country.

  • Running out of batyery TOO quick!

What can I do to stop this from happening? Is this normal? Is my phone damaged? Can I take it somewhere in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, to have it checked? I'm in love with my NOKIA Lumia 920 and give **bleep** to all iPhoners buy her it back when we talk about how long MY battery lasts!

How quick ? With my moderate use it easily lasts about 2 days .. but some applications / functions will surely drain the battery much more quickly .. Have a look at THIS .. Also note that if the phone is new, the battery will take some 10-12 recharges to stabilise.
If in spite of following all the recommendations the battery drains far too quickly, you need to get the device inspected .. You may find more information HERE

  • My iPhone 4S runs out of battery power very quickly.  I have disabled all functions (ie location services, push notifications etc etc) that actively use power.  However, even when in standby mode for most of the day, I'm lucky to get 12 hours out of it.

I read in the press this might be a design fault.  Does anyone know how I can resolve this?

There is a huge thread discussing this problem: https://discussions.apple.com/message/16542550. There is a lot of discussion around locations services and the notification centre however many users are experiencing different levels of battery drain and there is no definitive fix at present.  You may want to try some of the 'fix' suggestion in those posts and that may help but I would urge to keep an eye on the thread as that is where the majority of the community is focussing and discussing the issue.  Also take a look at this recent article:http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2011/oct/28/iphone-4s-battery-apple-enginee rs.
I know it's little consolation but there many people experiencing the same problem.

  • My iphone has run out of battery and displys the charging battery when connected. But it doesnt actually charge or is recognised by my mac.

When my phone ran put of battery it went to 1% i charged it all night from a outlet, however in the morning it was still on 1%. So i switched it off to charge, it then said no charge. Then when i try to charge it no charge goes in! Even when plugged into my mac nothing happens, the phone displays the charging battery but the mac doesnt pick up on the phon ebing plugged in. help?!

Clean iPhone charging port with toothbrush. See if better. If not and if there is Warranty or AppleCare make Genius reservation or set up service and take or send to Apple for resolution. If no coverage, Apple has battery replacement program which costs $80. If you go your own route, consider batter replacement and/or charging port replacement with attached flex cable, both are less than $10 parts.

  • My phone keeps running out of battery very quick:

My phone doing that thing with the arrows in the top right hand corner when its about to receive something or send something GRPS.
    But nothing comes through.
Ive had no e-mails or facebook notifications come through for well over a week now.
But the problem is, because its doing the arrow thing constantly its running the battery flat in the space of a few hours.
Ive checked my passwords on my e-mails, but its not helped at all!!
Ive turned the data off now, and it has stopped, so its definatly to do with the GPRS.
    Anyone got any ideas??
    Its an 8110.

Greetings, and welcome to the BlackBerry.com Support Forums.
The data arrows will continue even if you suspect no data is transferring because the device and the RIM servers and your carrier tower will continuously poll your device, sorta like a handshake just to make sure it is still there.
You could have some application (like an open active browser page) running in the background, as well.
There are many many reasons that data will transmit on your device even when you think it should not be doing so.
Here are some good charging tips, please read and you'll see that many of them will apply to you.

    Hello douraid,
Start with the article below to get your iPhone to take a charge. Once you get it powered back on, you will want to sync again to make sure nothing was lost during the attempted sync.

  • Iphone 4s won't charge until it runs out of battery

    Hello!
I've had my iPhone 4S for a month now, and it suddenly will not charge until it completely dies/runs out of battery.
Then, it only charges enough for it to turn on automatically and stops charging.
Has anyone had this problem? Any suggestions?
    Thank you for any advice

Do the basic troubleshooting steps described in the User Guide, Appendix B - Reset phone, Restore in iTunes using a backup, Restore in iTunes as new, without using a backup.
If restoring as new doesn't help, there is a hardware failure and you need to take the phone to Apple or whoever provides iPhone warranty service in your country.
