My iPhone 4S settings is stuck on facetime

I just got my iPhone 4S and was trying to set up Facetime in Settings. It was verifying my email and now it is stuck on that screen. Now I can't get back out to the settings main page. Please help!

If the Settings app is stuck, force quit the Settings app.
1. Press the home button to show the home screen.
2. Double-click the home button to show the multitasking bar.
3. Press-and-hold the Settings app icon in the multitasking bar until it wiggles.
4. Press the minus indicator on the Settings app icon.

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray BEFORE doing the reset.

iphones purchased in some middle eastern countries won't have facetime has it has been banned by the government.
Go to settings - general - about - model do you see AE in there, if so you won't have facetime.

Oh boy! Acting kind of weird seems to be an understatement, aquaequus!
What type of troubleshooting were we able to do with you? I want to make sure that we can get some sort of resolution for this problem.
It is quite possible the battery door may get your phone in working order again. I'm not sure if the store has it in stock, but it is available in our warehouse for $14.99 which can be ordered via customer service.

There has never been a facetime app on the iphone.
As the manual says, you access from contacts. Pick a contact and scroll down to the facetime button

My cellular provider is mtc touch in Lebanon middle east . As for the FaceTime issue it's banned in some countries not all not in lebanon at least but since my phone is from the UAE I don't have FaceTime on it.

If I try and delete just the facetime portion of my contacts, it doesn't work.

now reconnect to wifi
settings- wifi- click network name- enter password - join
if issue persists back up and restore as new via iTunes

Ignore sandeep. Don't use DFU mode. You need to use recovery mode.

IPhone 4 unable to turn on Facetime setting

iPhone 4 plugged into iTunes and upgraded from a 3G. Even though I have friends with Facetime, I cannot make a Facetime call. Discussion boards ask users to go to Settings -> Phone -> Facetime (on/off). I do not have this option in my settings.
Wiped and restored phone again....no luck. HELP!

Found my own solution on appletoolbox discussion board...
1. Navigate to Settings > General >Restrictions and select “Enable Restrictions”
2. Set the FaceTime restriction to on
3. Select “Disable Restrictions”
4. Go to Settings > Phone, and you should now see a FaceTime option, which you can turn on.
This worked! Facetime setting appeared in Settings -> General -> Phone.
Facetime turned on and functioning.

That doesn't make any sense to me at all, unless the games you're trying to play have some sort of online connection/capability and you're in a weak signal area, thus the games can't make the required online connection. What happens when you turn cellular data off in settings: Settings>General>Network>Cellular Data>Off.

I purchased an iphone 4 from Dubai around a year ago. FaceTime -as some of you know - is blocked there .
Since I live in Muscat- Oman, FaceTime is not blocked .
The thing is that FaceTime won't work ! Is there any settings related to the IP address and the DNS that can be changed to activate FaceTime here in Oman?
A general form of the question is : if I bought an iphone from a country that blocks FaceTime , how can it be activated in others that allows it ?

The irony is that Skype is blocked in Oman ..

I have a iphone five and my old 3GS. I want to set my 3 as a new phone but to set it right, I have to give a correct ID Apple
I have three choices a) use your email, b) obtain an icloud address c) change email address
If I choose a) they told me that this id is already used (by my iphone 5)
If I choose b) there is a blank address finishing with @icloud.com. If I write something like a address, the icloud.com can't be change and a popup appears
saying that the address email can't finish with @apple.com
If I choose c) they ask for the old address and an old password
I don't want to change anything that can affect my iphone 5 . Can someone help me please ?

I have a 3GS and a 5. What I did with my 3G was wipe all the data.
Turn off imessage in settings/messages
Turn off Facetime in settings/Facetime
Delete icloud account in settings/ilcoud
Erase all data and settings in settings/general/reset
Then I put a SIM card in the 3G phone. This was not an active sim. I then used the setup assistant to activate the phone and when it asked for Apple ID etc I just skipped those things by clicking on "later"or whatever it asks in itunes. Once the phone was activated I then connected it to my wifi network. I can now slot in a sim from any selected carrier when I decide to sell the phone. I guess at some stage I should delete the 3G from

No iPhone has a facetime icon. It is built into iOS.
Go to Settings, scroll down to Facetime (should be between Phone and Safari). Turn it on. and enter the information requested.
