My iphone 4s voice mail is not working. Can you help?

I travel between CA and India. When I am in india, I put in GSM chip in India and it works. When i came back -- I removed the chip and sprint phone is working -- except that voice mail and visual voicemail are not working. in fact, when people call my phone it says that the number is not in service.
any thoughts or suggestions?

Have you tried logging out of your account on the phone by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores and then logging back in and seeing if that 'refreshes' the account on it ?

The search function on my "sent" mail does not work. When I type in more than two letters into the saerch box - the sent mail screen goes blank. Any ideas how to fix this? Apple technical support has not been much help for the past five days...

Are you sure that they are plugged in all the way? It really takes quite a firm push in order to set the headphone jack into the opening all the way.

Visual Voicemail is all carrier side, funny enough. Apple can't really do anything to troubleshoot it because it's outside of their realm. Be sure to contact your cellular carrier for further assistance

Sometimes you have to reset the SMC two or three times for it to work, don't know why. I've seen that error message before and 100% of the time it was fixed with an SMC reset. I suppose it's possible that your keyboard or mouse IS drawing too much power, do you have access to another you could try?
