My iphone 4s was stopped working after upgrading to IOS6.

My iphone 4s was stopped working 2 days after upgrading to IOS6. Apple replaced it however same issue after upgrade. The new phone keeps reseting it self and turns it self off. Sometimes can not turn it on for hours, drains the battery really really quick. Anybody with same issues?

It is probably still worth while taking it to an Apple store for a possible OOW replacement and let them make the decision, as it was broken before the OP took the back off.

I had the same problem after attempting to update last night (on my 3G). The loss of wifi was the least of my worries, however. The update process wiped out my entire phone and reset it as a new phone, and never performed the back up. So, I wasn't able to restore from a back up. It's a glitch in the update, nothing that I did, or didn't do. The issues are too long to list... UGH!
After hours on the phone with AppleCare Sr Support last night, and 5 hrs at Apple Store today (no exaggeration!), they replaced my phone entirely. Luckily, I had a MobileMe account so, I was able to retrieve/restore my contacts and apps (although the data within my apps was lost - so I have to go through all of them again). Also lost all iCal data... two years worth... not sure how that happened, since that was also synced via MobileMe... the whole update is a mess... If you haven't updated yet, I would wait to update until they work out any kinks.

Iphone file browser stopped working after upgraded to IOS 5

Hi,
I have an iphone 3gs which I have recently upgraded to IOS 5. But to my horror after I have done that I can no longer browser my iphone's internal storage. Iphone connected to PC via USB, the file explorer no longer available. It can still sync with itune fine but there is noway I can access the storage locater in the phone via file explorer like I used to. Mind you I still have 3GB of space there.
Is that a bug? Or I stuffed up the upgrade some where?
Anyone else had this experience?

I know whats wrong now...
My phone had been emptied after I last restored it, after I took a picture and insert the phone back to the PC. The file browser shows up again...
That means if there is nothing in the phone, the file browser wouldn't be too bother to even show up. Weird one...

For your iCloud backup, you may have an app that is preventing the backup from succeeding. The issue was not with FF 7.01. VLC player version 1.11.1 is conflicting with windows media player when FF 7.01 tries to play media files! Which was not happening before in FF 6.02.
VLC and plugin media player need to be uninstalled first, then uninstalled FF 6.02. Install FF 7.01 and then win plugin media player again.

Double click on paintbrush, and enable keep selected.
If not give us a better explanation of what tool & settings you are using. (eg: blob brush, shape builder)

It appears your iPhone has an issue relating to sound. The following article may help you find a solution:
If you hear no sound or distorted sound from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch speaker - Apple Support
Can't hear anything from the built-in speaker of your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch? Maybe you can hear, but the sound is distorted, muffled, intermittent. Or maybe you hear static or crackling noises. If your iOS device has any of these issues, follow these steps.
Follow these steps and test the sound after each one.
Go to Settings > Sounds and drag the Ringer And Alerts slider to turn the volume up.
If you can hear sound from the speaker, then the speaker works. Continue with these steps to find the setting or switch that's affecting the sound. If you can't hear sound from the speaker, contact Apple Support.
Make sure the Ring/Silent switch is set to ring. If you can see orange, it's set to silent.
Restart your device.
Open an app that has music or sound effects. Adjust the volume with the volume buttons or the slider in Control Center.
Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn off Bluetooth.
If there's still no sound, connect a headset. If you can hear sound through the headset, remove it and clear any dust or debris from the headset jack of your device.
If the device is in a case, make sure that the case doesn't block the speaker.
Use a brush to gently clear any debris from the speaker and Lightning connector (or 30-pin dock connector). The brush should be clean and dry and have soft bristles.

Kodak has posted an unsupported hack that has been reported to enable printing to a Kodak printer not supported in OS X 10.10 ("Yosemite"). I have not tested the hack myself and I don't know all the possible effects. As far as I know it will not break the compatibility of printing software that is already compatible with Yosemite. Even if it were enabled, I know of no way it could be exploited, with or without the modification. Nevertheless, if you have enabled the web administration interface, you should disable it if you decide to follow these instructions. If you don't know what the web administration interface is, you haven't enabled it.

You must have Office 2004 which is a PPC-only suite and will not work in Lion. You need to upgrade to Office 2011 - Mactopia - or you can try the freeware suite, Libre Office, that is functionally similar to Office 2007 for Windows except it works on Lion.

after upgrading to OSX 10.9.4 the keyboard shortcut command-w stops working after about 30 min of having the machine powered on. Interestingly, this phenomenon is not restricted to a certain app (Safari, etc.).
In system preferences > keyboard all settings have been set to "default".
Anybody else having the same issue?

Hi folks,
just as quick documentation for possibly other error sources for the problem "shortcut command-w not working":
If problem persists close all applications (allL!). Then open one app like Safari, open several tabs and check whether command-w works.
Reason: it could happen that you've set command-w inadvertently in another app like Snagit. And when setting this the app did not tell you "listen dummy, this is a standard command, do you really want to replace a standard command with a app-specific command. Don't be surprised if it doesn't work when the app is running."
This is what happened to me. So close all apps and check whether problem persists.

You are not talking to Apple. This is a user to user forum.
If you're using the iPhone 3G, there will be no fix for your problem. The software you have, 4.2.1, is the end of the line for the 3G. Apple is no longer providing software updates for the 3G.
