My iPhone 4s will no longer allow others to send me a text message
My iPhone 4s will no longer allow others to initiate a text message with me. I think I have pin pointed the issue, but I don't know how to fix it. When I go to Settings - Messages - Send & Receive, it has both my phone number and my email but it only will allow me to check the email account. Therefore, if people don't have this email stored in their phone, then it won't allow them to initiate a text message to me. They can reply to my texts, but it comes up as my email address vs. my phone number. I have tried to reset my networks, but that didn't help either. I have not downloaded the new iOS 7.0.4 yet. Does that have something to do with it or how can I fix this because I'm on the road for business and I won't have a chance to download it until I get home on Sunday!
I'm sorry you have not been able to utilize your text messaging AlaynaFHirsch. I recommend downloading the new software to your phone. It will definitely help with functionality issues. Are you using a 3rd party messaging application? Have you tried to perform a restore on your account?

Also MMS is supported on a carrier by carrier basis. While mostly every carrier does support ths feature make sure that your carrier allows this functionality.

Do you have a MMS plan with your cellular provider? Have you contacted them? There are no settings on the iPhone to control this.

My iphone 4 is about a month old ad it continues to send multiple repeat texts message to the point where I have stop sending texts because everyone is annoyed with me, is there a solution that anyone knows of? I am hearing from sprint that it is apple's issue and from apple it is a sprint issue. They said I can take it to the store but its one month old and I find it hard to beleive that they do not have an easier solutions, i dont have time to or the patience to give up my phone for three days. This can't be right correct? If anyone has founf a solution I would really appreciate some help as Im sure you can hear I am frustrated.
thank youIt is a sprint issue and other carriers have that same problem. I get multiple copies of texts from other carriers all the time to my iphone. It isn't the iphone, it is the carrier sending the text message several times because they haven't received and ack message from the recepient.

Recently I noticed I am no longer being given the option to email pics from my iphone4. Did I mistakenly lock something? I am only given the option of MMS's them??? Thanks! I am clearly not a very savy iPhone user
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

All other functions of the menu work, such as Rotate and Zoom In. I just noticed this happened today when I tried to send a picture to someone. I have sent many pictures from my phone to others and Facebook, etc. I just sent a picture on Friday so I'm not sure what could be wrong. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

My iPhone is no longer allowing me to see an entire text message while typing it. Why?
My text is now going beyond the regular typing window, and since I can't see what I've typed before I send the text, I'm having a huge amount of typos that make no sense whatsoever.

My iphone 4 will not notify me when I get a new text message.
It just started doing this just recently. I checked all my settings, do not disturbe is not on, the notification center is setup like it should be. It went off once but even later that day when I was texting them it never went off again. PLEASE HELP.
I've checked all the settings and still been having this problem and many others for example it's been over heating (has no water damage). I guess Ill just have to take the phone into the store. Thanks for the help though.

I have the iPhone 6 plus. I have no troubles sending and receiving text messages. I can also send pic messages but I cannot receive them. I have T-mobile and have been calling them for the past 2 months but the issue hasn't been resolved. Anyone has a similar issue, please help.

For issues with sending and receiving text messages, take a look at the article below to continue your troubleshooting. You may need to sign out of iMessage and sign back in as well as resetting the network settings. One other thing to check is to make sure that your friends did not get blocked from being able to send you messages.

my airport time capsule will no longer allow our iPhones or vizio smart tvs to connect to it, though my iPad air mac mini and mac air connect fine. Why is this? does a recent software update have anything to do with it?
What model is your TC? What is the firmware?
I recommend you do a factory reset and use short names.. not apple recommended names.
Short.. 2-20 characters .. less than 10 even better.
No spaces.
Pure alphanumeric.
Set fixed channels for 2.4ghz wireless.. test with 11, 6, 1 at least.
That often helps.. if not and is old, ie Gen1-4 go back to 7.6.1 firmware which is far more solid. -
My "Notes" app on my iPhone 4S is no longer syncing up with my "Notes" app on my PC or on my iPad. It was syncing up fine before. But no longer. How do I fix this so that whatever I type in iPhone "Notes" will appear in my other devices' "Notes"?

my iPhone 4 will no longer charge. It is also not recognised in iTunes. There seems to be a problem with the connector slot. I've tried other cables and other computers/plugs but the connection is not being made. Any suggestions?

Video's removed from iPhone and will no longer Sync
I have recently purchased an iPhone 3G and have been setting it up over the last few days.
I eventually discovered that I can convert videos from my old phone to .mp4 format, added them to iTunes and sync'd with teh iPhone and was able to view them on my iPhone with full sound and colour, all good...
However I have just tried adding some more and found that all the video's i had previously sync'd have dissappeared from my iPhone, and iTunes will no longer allow me to sync them back to the phone.
I do not get an error message, and it appears when i drag and drop the files to the attached device, that it is ok, and then nothing happens.
Can anyone tell me why these video's will no longer appear on my iPhone.
