My iphone 4s will not play any music it just scrolls through the entire list and says url not found on this server

Please help. I am going to go pop in a minute!!
All this happened after installing IOS 6!!

I have the same issue - Home Sharing is setup on my macbook pro and works absolutely fine from my Apple TV but no longer works from my iPhone 4S now running iOS7.04
Macbook Pro with OS X 10.6.8
iTunes 11.04
Apple TV (latest software update?)
iPhone 4S with iOS7.04
Let me recap...Apple TV can access shared music library via Home Sharing with no issues. The iPhone 4S can ACCESS the shared library, SCROLL through the songs, but when I attempt to PLAY a song it just skips it and sends me back to the browsing screen.
I appreciate any response.

The problem resolved itself when I resynced the iPod with my computer. I suspect the error displayed when I tried syncing with my laptop and canceled out of it.

I have a new iphone5 and after synking my songs and musice. I get a "The requested URL was not found on this server" when I click on a song or a music video. It is almost like itunes did not copy my songs from my account to the new iphone.

I was having the same problems with my movies and tv shows. I unchecked them, then rechecked them, and synced all them again. Presto! They are all working again. Thank you.

I have the same problem, where iTunes seems to work OK, but the server where they maintain their help files is not available. It looks to me like Apple keeps all their help information on a server named help.apple.com, and the people that maintain that server have not gotten around to creating the appropriate help folders for iTunes 10.5. If you go to http://help.apple.com/itunes/win/10.4, you find the help for 10.4. Maybe it's the same as for 10.5, and maybe not.

I had a similar problem with a tv show. I contacted Apple Support and got the following instructions:
"please delete the episode from your iPad and then redownload it directly to the device. You can download past tv show, app, music, and book purchases without incurring additional charges as long as what you want to download is showing on your Purchased page. Some content may not be available for download again if its provider no longer offers it on the iTunes Store, App Store, or iBookstore.
To enable this feature, you must have the latest version of iTunes. It is available on the Apple website:

The latest version of iTunes will not affect your library or any items in your account.

I have brought iphone 5 and most of all my songs are brought from itunes, I can not play my music application - everytime I click on a song to play I get an error message saying - "The requested URL was not found on this server" also all my music were not downloads into my iphone 5 from iphone 4. What can I do, please direct me. I have backed up my music and photos on my laptop, even my itune isn't showing all the music i purchased with apple.

You have two choices to try & fix this: 1. Backup your phone, then restore as a new device, then restore from the backup you first created, or 2. Follow the advise from this poster:
I had the same problem with the black blocks after upgrading to iOS4 on my iPhone. The reason for the black blocks is that the thumbnail images for those particular images have not been created when the Photo Library has been updated to iOS4. I followed the advice on a couple of blogs and fixed the problem.
1. I downloaded iPhone Explorer free software (http://www.macroplant.com/iphoneexplorer/) so I could view the photo data folders on my phone. I could see that the thumbnail images were missing.
2. I followed a slight variation on the instructions on this blog. (http://blog.mbentley.net/2010/06/iphone-ios-4-upgrade-restore-lost-pictures-in-c amera-roll/)
3. First I copied the Photo Data folder by dragging it from the iPhone Explorer window to my Mac desktop.
4. Through iPhone Explorer I deleted the info.plist file in the Media/PhotoData/MISC folder.
5. I also deleted the Photos.sqlite and PhotosAux.sqlite files in Media/PhotoData.
6. I then rebooted the phone and launched the Photo Library.
7. The Library rebuilt it's self again and recreated the thumbnails.
8. The problem was fixed!!! Thank you M Bentley!

When I go to play music videos that I PURCHASED from iTunes I get a pop-up that says "The reuested URL was not found on this server" so I have to go to friggin' iTunes and remove and readd all of my music videos. I bought the ipod (Touvh 4G) about a month ago and the idiots say that it's out of warranty so I have to pay more money to the pirates to get an answer. When I restored my phone from icloud, half of my pics and videos have been deleted, the pics that were restored on my phone are very blurry, and the videos won't play. I get a message on my phone that says " the URL you are requesting is not found on this server". I have erased and reset my phone twice, but every time I do it, more pics and videos are deleted. I have backed up to icloud and iphoto, however, some of the pics are no longer on iphoto either. Is there someway to get the videos to play on my phone again? Make the photos not as blurry as they are now and to restore the pics and videos that have been lost? I really would love to have them back, this phone is supposed to be the best and right now it doesn't seem to be. Please help if you can.

HELP. "The requested URL was not found on this server." (iPhone videos)?

So i was editing a bunch of videos on iMovie on my phone and while exporting, i didn't have enough space. So I thought that I would delete the videos off my Camera Roll (the ones i'm putting into iMovie) thinking that i would still be able to export and have enough space.
It was the wrong decision because it resulted in having all the videos deleted even on iMovie. So i backed up my files on iTunes 2 days ago (luckily) and when i restored my files, the videos are back.
BUT the videos that were saved from snapchat (they were going into the video i was putting together) wouldn't play! It shows the error "The requested URL was not found on this server".
I looked up everything possible to try and fix it but i just can't find it the correct solution. I accidentally backed it up tonight and so the old back up file is gone. I really want to save these videos. The videos still show up in my Camera Roll, they just wouldn't play because the error shows up.
When i connect my phone to my laptop (PC windows vista... I know its old but it works fine for me) it would show the option "open device files" or something. so when i open it, it shows the DCIM folder. And so i open that it shows all my pictures and videos.
Problem is my snapchat videos show up as 0 bytes and still wouldnt play. I've attacted the error message just so you guys know what i'm talking about.
I'm really sad and upset about this, so can anyone help me??

What does it mean when in says url not found on this server?

If the site is down it should say something like "server not responding" shouldn't it, or if the ISP had the forsight and sense to set it up right it should redirect to another site or page somewhere that says, Sorry this site is down for whatever reason and when it might be back up. Access denied seems like a funny message to get.
Also ... one has to wonder why Arianna Huffington who presumably lives in CA is hosting the HP from New York?
In any case, thanks for the heads up.

firslty My Iphone is not recognised when i connect to itunes so cant do anything from laptop and secondly i can play movies and videos but all my music i go to play it and it says The requested URL wa not found on this server and the songs all stay on 0:00 even though the play icon is there. I have had major problems with my Iphone since going to the Apple shop once and im disgusted with them on a whole. Too complex to do anything and this Icloud and syncing causes nothing but problems I am a 20 year old male and if i cant manage having been brought up i the age of IT I have no idea how the rest of the world can cope!! any help?
