My iPhone 4S won't connect to wifi. It won't light up for me to slid on. And the few times it does light up, it just sits there and loads and loads.

Hi..I have just recently got an iPhone and I had installed some apps already but now when I try to install and download any apps it just sits there on "waiting" and will not download.. Im able to erase it but no apps will download now. I have tried logging out of the app store but it still did the same thing. I also tried resetting it and that didn't work either. I connected an external monitor to my MacBook Pro, but it doesn't open any programs. It Just sits there with a blank screen. How do I get it to open programs and act like a monitor?

It sounds like you are trying to get your external monitor to act as the primary viewing screen. For example it would have your Doc, Icons, Etc. In order to make the external monitor the primary screen you have to:
Open System Preferences.
Choose the Displays Icon
There will be several tabs to choose from pick Arrangement
Drag the toolbar to desired display

I am connectedot my MAC and am connected to WIFI but my I phone 5 is not sending photos to photo stream. It says "backing up" but does not sync. Any idea or help?

Iphone 5. Anything else I can try? Itunes and iphone and the app are all up to date.
I brought my macbook air at home, everything worked perfectly: iPhone, iPad and Apple TV can connect. So basically I guessed that the issue was coming from the iMac, something preventing it to be discovered. I've checked the bonjour broadcasting and oh, surprise, the iMac wasn't broadcasting... Weird because it's a setup from a Time Machine, the environment I am running currently on the macbook air.
Anyway, if this can help someone else:
I've ran:
ps aux | grep mDNS
and saw that for the iMac the daemon was launched with the argument -NoMulticastAdvertisements.
I've setup the daemon to run back as normal and restarted the computer:
sudo defaults write /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.mDNSResponder ProgramArguments -array /usr/sbin/mDNSResponder -launchd
After the reboot, everything works flawlessly (it has never worked before for the 6 months I had the Apple TV).
Also interesting discovery and I think it's new because I don't remember being able to do that before, but some of my devices are on the separate 5Ghz network, some are on the 2.4Ghz and they can still all communicate flawlessly. I can use AirPlay on the Export Express that is on the 2.4 from the iMac that is on the 5Ghz, and I can access the iMac library from whatever band. Pretty nice! -
My phone randomly shuts off. I will be in the middle of using it and it will completely turn off. I can also not have used it all night and I will pick it up and click the home button and then it will flash the apple restart screen. I'm not sure what is causing this as I have only had the phone for about two weeks. It's a little concerning and just wanted to see if anyone knew what it could be without me having to go into the Apple store.

I Found a solution on another discussion thread, do a hard reset by holding the on/off switch at the same time as the centre button. An apple logo comes up. My iphone 5 had been connecting to my home wifi for months and then for the last 2 months kept telling me the password was incorrect. This fixed it and it connected straight away.

I've downloaded iTunes. I downloaded the myView app. I can't get it to work. It's in my library. I doubleclick on it and it
just sits there and doesn't respond. It is very very important that I get this app to work today!!! Help.These are apps for the iphone/ipod/ipad.
They do not work on your computer.
You need to sync them to your iphone/ipod touch/ipad and use them from there. -
My iphone won't connect to my home wifi. It say's connected but when i try and go online it say's unable to connect. I've tried forgetting the network, turning wifi off and on. The ip address is ok and my laptop connects ok.

Two days ago when I rebooted the router and Reset Network Settings it started working correctly.
I've been working with my internet provider, they tell me my firmware on my 2wire is up to date & the issue is definitely with my iPhone.
Security Settings: WPA-PSK (TKIP) and WPA2-PSK (AES)
My iPhone is attaching to the 169.x IP Address and the Subnet is 255.255.0.0. The router, DNS and Search Domains are blank.
Also to note, I changed the name of my device through the gateway router so I could identify it more easily. As of today it had defaulted back to the old name which is the ip address. Even if I don't change anything it isn't keeping those settings.
Other than restarting my router and taking everything down for 15 minutes each time, what else can I try? -

IPad won't connect to WiFi network, but macbook pro & iphones will.
Both of my iPhones and my Macbook Pro easily connect to the wi-fi network. I feel like I've tried everything to get my iPad to connect. It used to connect perfectly fine and I'd watch Netflix, but then it started crashing. I work for a non-profit so it's a company network, not my personal one, but it's the only network I have considering I live here! Such a pain!
I've reset my network settings.
I've click "Forget Network"
I've done a hard reset of the iPad multiple times.
NOTHING WORKS.
Can some super tech savvy person help a girl out?! I would greatly appreciate it.Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.
