I plugged my iPad in to charge last night. I plugged it into the wall and I have never had any problems. I have had this iPad for a little over a month. This morning, when I went to look something up, it wasn't responding. It won't turn on, I get nothing on the screen, and if I plug it in to charge, to the wall or my computer, nothing happens. Has anyone else had this issue? I can't think of what else to try or what to do next.
First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
If that doesn't help I suggest having a technician look at your iPad. Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support. -
My iphone doesn't ring when it's unlocked .. i have calls but the screen still black and when i slide to unlock the screen i found i had missed calls
i have tried manythings but it doesn't work
i put it in silent mode and i found my calls comes normaly and it works good but when i turn on ring mode it's back as it how can i fix that ?!Basic troubleshooting steps outlined in the user guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new device. Water Damaged iPhone, turns on, no service, but worked last night, not this morning?
So on Monday, I dropped my iPhone in the toliet after using the bathroom. I had never dropped any phones in water before so didn't know the steps to take afterwards. I kept the phone on and used it, shaking all the water out of the dock, til it shut off. By this point, I thought the phone was done.
Later that night, I put the phone in a bag of rice and had it sit there til the next morning. I plugged the phone in, and it turned on, but I didn't have any service. The date and time were also messed up too.
But Tuesday night, I plugged it in, turned it on, and I HAD service! It was working just FINE! The screen did show water spots so I answered my texts, turned it off, and put it back in rice,
Yesterday and this morning, I turned it on again, and I have no service again.. So what should I do? Keep it in rice and hope for the best? Tuesday night it was working PERFECT! Such a disappointment because I thought I fixed it

Let it cool down, then reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)

I have a PB G4 that won't start. It shows the gray apple screen, shows the blue screen, and then goes black. The sleep light pulses. From there, I can't turn it off normally. I have tried restarting the PMU. And I have tried unplugging the ac adaptor and removing the battery. From there I have plugged only the ac adaptor in, and it will begin to start but do the same thing once it shows the blue screen.
I tried only using the battery (without plugging in the ac adaptor) and the same thing happens. I tried starting the computer while holding down CTRL, Option, P, and R, waiting to hear the start up chimes 3 times, and then holding Shift as it starts up. But I still get the black screen once I see the blue one, and the computer's sleep light pulses.
I need something very important from this computer. And was able to start it last night. I did not shut down the computer, and was going to take it to a friends to use his printer today. The computer was in sleep mode in the morning.

GinaWhat your describing could be a logic board or memory issue.
You did or did not hear 3 startup chimes? If you hear 3 chimes when you start it, that would indicate a memory problem. Try reseating the memory to see if that makes a difference. If you have 2 RAM cards, try one then the other in each slot. If you have 1 RAM card, move it to the other slot. Powerbooks can develop one bad slot.
You may need to pull the hard drive out of the Powerbook, put it into an external case, then read it from another mac. -
I can not turn my nano 6th generation ipod on... the screen is black and will not do anything.

I plug it in to iTunes, and iTunes does recognize it........... and says it is syncing.. and says when it is done... but, I can not do a thing with the nano ... I try the reset thing... holding the Volume down and the sleep/wake button...at the same time... and hold for 8 seconds... and nothing!I am currently having this same problem. So i bought an iPhone 3g 16gb off of craigslist for 120. I met the person at safeway, where she showed me that the phone worked perfectly. She showed me a game, then exited and called my cell phone. I was sold. Before i leave she starts the restore process on the phone. I get home and realize it's dead. I hook it right up to my computer and see that the little battery pops up on the screen of the iphone and its red, but continues to charge. I walk away for 10 minutes, come back, and its a black screen. I turn it on, the little apple logo pops up, im thinking HA we have lift off! But no, it shuts right back off. I've turned it on and reset the thing, i've hooked up my old ladys iphone to make sure everything is working properly, chords, usb ports, etc. Everything is working perfectly but my new iphone. It continues to turn on and show the logo, but shuts down 30-40 seconds later. What do i do??? Please help!!!!

It was about 30MB, it was loading and then I turned off the screen. A few minutes later I tried turning it back on and it stayed black. I tried connecting it to my Macbook Pro and it says that its receiving a wrong response. What could be wrong?
Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

I just went to update my iPhone 5S as it asked me to, and it got to the point with the apple logo on the screen and the black loading bar underneath, but then the screen went black and the phone now won't turn on? I went to plug it into my computer and it said "USB Device not recognised"..

Yesterday, my iPhone 4S screen went black and won't turn back on. So I tried just letting charge but after an hour nothing happened, so then I switched out the chargers and made sure the outlet I was using worked. But it still was black. Then I did a little research and I tried to put it into DFU mode but my power button has been broken for a few months now, so that didn;t work either. Then I tried restoring it, but my computer didn't recognize it!!! So then over night I let it rest with no power source connected to it. This morning I plugged it back into a power source and it showed the charging icon. I'm pretty that means it's still running, but I'm not an expert. PLEASE HELP!
If you have got a different USB Sync cable try to charge your iPhone with that as there are possibilities that your current USB cable or Power Adapter is not Charging your iPhone. If it still doesn't work make an appointment to Nearest Apple Genius Bar

just bought a new iphone4 and was loading os6 and now it won't turn on. the apple glows like it is starting up, then the screen goes black and then repeats the same process over and over. i have tried to reboot multiple times now
I am assuming the phone was working prior to you installing IOS 6? Did you use itunes to install IOS 6 or just run from the phone?
When I tried to do the Over The Air update to IOS6 on my iPhone 4, it errored out and I had to connect it to iTunes and select "Restore" from the summary screen after iTunes finds the phone is connected. If this works for you, it will go through a couple of reboots that take a few minutes to complete. It should then give you the option to start with a fresh new phone or to use one of your previous backups to load your contacts and other information, provided you have backed up the phone previously.
