My iphone 5 cannot connect to itunes as it requires 10.7 version which my old mac could not allow

I dont have a new laptop, currentlt using  my old mac, but I couldnt back to itunes as it rewuiring me to install 10.7 version...i bought my mac 2008. do i need to get a new laptop to install my previous documents to my new iphone 5, my old phone was iphone 4S..need help pls

To install iTunes 10.7 you must upgrade the operating system on your computer to 10.6.8 Snow Leopard.  The installer disc which, as indicated above, you have to buy from Apple will take to to 10.6.3.  Then run the free combo updater to take that to 10.6.8  The cost for the disc is modest and is the only way you can upgrade.  Real Ralph Landry1's post carefully and slowly as I am just basically saying the same thing and the post does include the information you need as to cost and actions.  Here it is again:

Everything with this Iphone 5 has been dissapointing from the get go and this is about to throw me over the edge,

to install, the 64 bit version on my pc, which isn't a big deal. But I have done what it's told me 3 times now, uninstalling and
reinstalling this so called 64bit version of iTunes and still says it's not supported. Please can someone help me or I
will be returning this tomorrow and joining the Samsung world.

  • Get message on iPhone 4S, "Cannot connect to iTunes Store." How can I access the iTunes Store?

I get a Message on iPhone 4S, "Cannot Connect to iTunes Store." How can I access iTunes Store?  Yes,  I am WiFi connected.

Well folks I finally got my "can't connect to iTunes" issues fixed. Seems that there was an unauthorized change to my email address and account therefore not allowing mr to connect to iTunes.
Here is how I got it fixed.
    1. Contacted iTunes store support
    2. Followed their instructions and replyed with the following info:
An order number from one of my purchases
Last 4 digits of the c.c. Used for the iTunes store acct
Answer to one of my security questions
And 2 items from this list.
    Birthdate
    Billing address for Acct
    Phone number on acct
It was after all of this that they saw that someone had made an account modification back in February when the issue began. Seems they changed my email address just slightly and that is what kept me from being able to sign in and not a password issue. This was likely due to a phishing email that came out in conjunction with iCloud asking users to change their passwords to a more secure form by adding a capital and number.
To get all of this cleared up it took about 4 days as we emailed back and forth. I also needed a seperate email address they could use to send me info. Once they determined the issues and went to get them fixed by changing the email address associated with the acct and I created a new password I was able to access iTunes with no issues and even my previously thought lost acct balance was there.
    Hope this helps

  • New Iphone 5 Cannot connect to Itunes Store

I have just got a new Iphone which is now just a week old. Since the beginning I haven't been able to download any apps due to an error message
"Cannot connect to Itunes Store". I have been able to connect to the Itunes and App store on the Iphone but as of yet have not been able to download any apps.
I really don't know what is wrong. I cant even sign in to my Apple Account in Settings as the same error message comes up.

I'm having the same problem with both my iPhone 5 and my third-gen iPad. It started as an intermittent problem but today I cannot connect at all. I've tried the various "fixes" such as changing the date forward and back. iOS is up to date so that's not the issue either. I've shut off the devices and restarted. No change. This is enormously frustrating. I wanted to test an app for work but cannot get it, nor can I update existing apps. Did I mention how enormously frustrating this is??

iphone 4 cannot connect to itunes

    You're welcome.
If you followed everything included with the link provided to the letter including removing iTunes and all iTunes and Apple related applications before reinstalling iTunes, I suggest visiting Microsoft's website for a possible solution.

  • HT3281 On iPhone 4 cannot connect to iTunes!

On iPhone4 get message "Cannot connect to iTunes Store" why?

Like so many others, after updating to OS6 and changing my iCloud password, none of my devices (iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro, iMac etc) could connect to the tunes store, the error message was something "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. Make sure your network connection is active and try again." However, there was nothing wrong with my internet connection - programs like Safari & Mail worked just fine.
After trawling through the discussions and trying the recommendations (change time/date, activate location services, reset network settings etc) I just became more frustrated.
I figured that if iTunes thought my network connection was the problem, maybe I should try tricking it and, after much trial, error and frustration, I did find a solution - and it may work for you...
I turned off WiFi on my iPhone, then connected to my telco's 3G network, then connected to the iTunes store and it worked fine. Then I switched back to WiFi and all is good. Did the same for the iPad. For the MacBook and iMac I turned off WiFi then tethered the iPhone on the 3G network to the computer, then connected to iTunes Store, then went back to WiFi. For some reason that I don't understand, this all went as planned and now everything works.
Anyway, I thought I should contribute to the community by letting you know the solution I found. Of course, this may not necessarily work for you, but it's worth a shot.

  • TS1702 Why does my iphone say "cannot connect to iTunes store" when I try to update my apps?

When I try to update my apps on my iphone4, I press "update," then  put in my password; it keeps coming back saying "Cannot connect to iTunes store."  Is anyone else having this problem?

    Try here:
Can't connect to the iTunes Store
Go to Settings>General>Time&Date and make sure it is set to automatic
Try change the DNS to Google's 8.8.8.8

  • IPhone 3GS cannot connect to iTunes app

I got the Mountain Lion installed on my MacBook and now I cannot connect my iPhone 3GS to it, and when I try the iPad it does not work either... I tried to reset the settings on the phone, but since the iCloud was acting very weird I never used it properly and the wire connection does not work - therefore I cannot use my phone now. Can you please help me somehow??
    Thank you!

Check the iPhone discussion and you will find dizens of identical posts to this. The most common suggestions are
    Reaset the date
    Settings > General > Date & Time
    Turn "Set Automatically" OFF
Set Date & Time to the year 2013
    Relaunch Passbook
When you have done this and downloaded the apps to back to Settings > General > Date & Time > Set Automatically to ON.
    Try using Cellular connection
    Settings > General > Cellular
Use Cellular Data for... iTunes ON
Use Cellular Data for.. Passbook Updates ON
Wait until Apple gets things sorted out on the App Store or the unexpectedly heavy load abates
Neither of the first two options worked for me so I am waiting somewhat impatiently for Apple to sort it out.
