this has just started happening randomly
i have 2 email accounts on this phone an apple account (@me.com ) and a gmail account
Open the Setting app > Mail,Contacts,Calendar. Scroll down to "Always Bcc Myself" and see if that is turned on.

Yes I know what you mean about it cluttering the thread and for personal emails it is better without the signature. However this relates to sending business emails from an iPhone so I need the signature present on every email.
I can't find anything in Settings so I was hoping someone may have some knowledge/information/experience regarding this problem. -
I uploaded to Maverick and now my mail always cc's me on every email I send out. I have checked Preferences and the Composing Automatically CC button is unclicked. How can I stop this?
Sounds like your phone has the jitters.
This is sometimes caused when a DLL fle is missing when you restore, so the ipsw pacakge wasn't installed corectly.
You could back up and restore, but if it doesn't help go to http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/ and then download the same firmware your on.
Open up iTunes and hold Shift+Restore and select that firmware, you can't use anoy ther firmwares though.

Picture of myself appears in every email I send!
A few days ago a thumbnaail size picture of myself started appearing in the upper right hand corner of every email I send. I have no idea as to what I did to make this start happening or how to make it stop.
This is a PS to my prior message. I went to Systems Preferences>accounts>picture and found that at some long forgotten time I must have taken my picture in that window. It never did appear in my emails until a week of so ago. However, I deleted the photo from the accounts>picture window and to my great joy the problem seems to have gon away. Thank you very muchfor your help.

Every email has attachments and I dont want to use HD space
I have a Mac Book Air and only 128 Gb HD
Every email I send has my company logo and sometimes others.
Most emails I receive have at least one also.
My HD is almost fried with overuse.
How do I stop these jpeg attachments from being stored and chewing up data space?

I have a 32Gb SD Card in the slot for data storage and use an external HDD as my carry over spaceOne thing to look at: Mail, Preferences, Accounts, Advanced, there is a drop down menu determining whether attachements are stored on your computer or not.

On your new iPhone tap Settings > Store.
Make sure Books is turned ON.

Sorry but Forgot passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support covers all of the methods. Any chance that you had it set to automatically back up to iCloud and/or sync contacts to iCloud?
You can check on whether the contacts were synced by logging in to https://www.icloud.com/ and looking at the Contacts app there.
The "Delete Backups and turn off backups from your device" in the following link describes how you can use a computer to see if there is an iCloud backup of your phone. Follow those instructions to the point of seeing if the backup is listed but obviously you don't follow the rest of the instructions on how to delete. Manage your iCloud storage - Apple Support -
I have a question? I update my macbook pro but every time I do and I go back to where it says software update it says that if I want to update my pro I just did, and Im using Mac Os X snow leopard is it that I have to upgrade to lion?
It also says view updates, so select that option and see what it wants to update.

Mail Problem - copying every email I send to inbox
I am using mail to access and send mail through my gmail account. For some reason, the other day, I started seeing copies of every email I replied to showing up in my inbox. Actually, it's my "All Mail" box because I've never found an "Inbox" on the Mac Mail program. Anyone know how to fix this?
Before anyone asks: I'm not CCing myself. I already checked. When I click "Reply" the cc and bcc lines are blank. However, when I send the message I get a copy of it about 2 minutes later.

NickGoogle Mail's 'All Mail' box includes sent mail so that's correct.
When using Mac mail you have access to the google mail boxes but they are below the Mail apps Mailboxes incl Inbox, Sent, Trash, Junk and drafts if you have any.
Maybe you just need to reset the mail app in Mail Preferences or I believe you can set up Mac Mail through Google too.

I can find no settings for an alert when a text msg is sent, but my phone rings every time I send one.
Are you sending the texts with the Messages app that Apple bundled with the iPhone or are you sending the message with some other app?
If you're using the Messages app, try restarting or restoring your iPhone.
If you're using some other app, try tapping Settings and then the App name to adjust it's preferences. -
Why do printed copies of emails I send from sub-ac...
Hello, hoping someone can help. I have a sub-account email address. Sometimes if I send an email and the recipient prints it off, their hard copy prints the name of my primary account holder (eg they expect to get an email from Jenny, and Joe's name is bizarrely printed at the top of the page). There is no sign of the primary account holder's name on the screen, just on the printed version, where it appears like a page header - sitting a bit above the printed email they were expecting to see, which looks exactly the same as the on-screen version of the email, (eg it's 'from' my email address etc). Is there any way to make sure this doesn't happen? It doesn't happen when everyone prints an email from me.
Thankswhen u use software like outlook etc. Make sure that will not delete emails from server when download them. There is option to choose auto deleting when download email. Some email provaider offer option to create the folder on server and u could move all downloaded email to HDD from email server to that folder and will stay on the server .
Why move them from inbox to another folder beacuse some email clients will be downloading the same email from server. Usually in expensive email clients u can set to keep data on server and do not download again same emails.
But sometimes this dont work and it will dont download new email better to set to download emails by date (24H day). Any new email from current day will be downloaded and oryginal version on server keeped on the server.
Works in 99.9% emails. Why 99.9% when u dont use email account/client for more then 1-2 months the software may get bit confuse and dont copy all emails.
ps: u can take out HDD, buy cheap HDD closure for 5GBP put that HDD in and connect via usb if HDD partions are not damaged u gonna be able to copy all data in very easy way . If partions are damaged/bad blocks etc the recovery of them is still possible but u will need some "skills" to pull out them, sometimes u can buy sam HDD for electronics beacuse old HDD has died and replace and copy data problems going up when head are down etc.
U can still recover data by sending HDD to company which has special lab to do this. Must be impressive clean for opening HDD and accesing to discs and avoid any electro static bit on disc. expensive.. even very expensive depends of how much GB needs to be recovered.
or buy online place on the server to make backup of pc. As the operator of server will make regulary backup of server so all your data will stay safe. Better the DVD disc, which u can lost or get damage, pendrive which may die when using microwave etc. U can alwayes use cabinet for dvds. But cabinet instead of case for disc. Will not get lost due to size and will be locked, use only DVD-R discs. Dont use xx-RW (rewritable discs) as u may overwrite data on disc by mystake. -
Multiple copies of email accounts, contacts and notes after syc.
Can anyone suggest why after a routine sync between iTunes on my PC and my iPhone I now have multiple copies of my email accounts showing in iTunes and multiple copies of my contacts and notes on my phone?
I have no iCloud account. I do not use iCloud. I have not changed any settings for the sync, which has been fine up until now.
What I am left with is four copies of each email account on my iTunes and my iPhone, which I cannot seem to change. Outlook has only one copy of each email account. Outlook also only has one copy of each contact and one of each note but my iPhone now has four copies of each contact and four of each note.
Any ideas what is going on and how I get back to normal please! Thanks.Tried deleting the orange account and adding it back in, no difference unfortunately.

Did you have a passcode lock on your phone? If you did (and it wasn't a trivial one like 0000 or 1234) then your information is safe. However, if you did not have a passcode you need to change every password you ever used from the phone immediately.
Did you enable Find my iPhone before it was stolen? If you did go to https://icloud.com/find and put the phone in Lost mode.
