My iPhone 5 does not sync with iTunes, giving me the following message: could not sync because the sync session failed to start.
Anyone had this problem syncing iPhone 5 with iTunes on macbook pro?
Update iTunes to newest version.
If this did not solve.
Try different cable, and different usb port.

The only thing that worked for me was to boot in safe mode.
Power down. Then press power button and hold 'shift' key until grey screen with progress bar appears... Once booted and logged in just open safari and browse to applestore.

I have PS 6 and just purchased an iMac and am running OS 10.10.1 (Yosemite). When i try to Save or Save As a file I get the following message: Could not save as "Whatever.psd" because this file is locked, you do not have necessary access permissions, or another program is using the file. Use the Get Info command in the Finder to ensure the file is unlocked and you have permission to access the file. If the problem persists, save the document to a different file or duplicate it in the Finder. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Either your antivirus/firewall is blocking access to the activation server, or you have a redirect in your hosts file. Try disabling the antivirus and firewall, and also check the hosts file. Look for any lines in it that contain "gs.apple.com". If you find them, delete them.
Mac: /etc/hosts
Windows: c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
BTW, if you ever used your computer to jailbreak or hack any iDevice those lines WILL be in your hosts file. And if you ever hacked your iPhone to install a different baseband you will also get that error, but in that case the problem is unsolveable. -
I have re- installed Firefox on 3 occasions recently; mainly in the hope of resolving problem with constant crashes. Yesterday, 22 August, I installed Firefox again to be met with the sqlite.dll3 problem. Ihave uninstaaled and re-installed (from the website) and am still getting the same message.
This procedure might work or might not work:
Download the free Ccleaner and repair your Registry (repeat until clear)

Uninstall iTunes according to Apple's directions here

Use Ccleaner and repair your Registry again just in case.
Then download/install iTunes again from the Apple website

How did you get the Extract filter into Photoshop CC? You will need to undo that - especially if you copied a whole batch of plug-ins supplied by Adobe with an earlier version.

Restart your computer. Run iTunes and check for updates. If there is a later version of iTunes available, download and install it. Then try again. If you still cannot see your iPad listed in iTunes make a list of all the things you have tried so that we can see exactly what steps you have taken.

Not true. The music and pic sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases
You really should transfer everything from the old computer, or your backup copy of your computer. Since you do not have access to the old computer, then use your backup copy of the old computer.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup copy of your computer ( not good), then you would have to transfer itunes purchased as described earlier. Any other itunes content would be lost.
You can e-mail photo library pics to yourself, but they will not be of the original quality.
Before syncing, enter at least one unique contact and calendar entry on the computer. When you first sync, then you should get the option to merge the data. -

The error message you're seeing is likely the other way around -- i.e. something like "This iPhone has previously been synced with a different computer". There's no problem syncing multiple iOS devices to the same computer.
However, the reverse is not true for the iPhone -- you cannot connect an iPhone to another computer without it being erased, even if you manually manage music and video. So, it sounds like you've been syncing your iPhone to a different computer?
Also, 5.1 (not 5.0.1) is the latest iOS. -
My iphone after syncing with my mac is saying "64 items could not be synced, see i tunes for details" however I cant see what items are not synced as no obvious message. Where do I look for this info?
Connect your phone to iTunes, then right-click on the name of your phone on the left sidebar and select Reset Warnings. Then sync again and you should get a warning listing the problem files.

Please can someone help me to solve the error message "Could not activate cellular data network: PDP authentication failure"when using 3G or GPRS on safari with an iphone 4GS and latest software updates. All iPhones sold in Japan are sold carrier locked and cannot be officially unlocked by the carrier. If you unlocked it, it was by unauthorized means (hacked), and support cannot be given to you in this forum.
Hacked iPhones are subject to countermeasures by Apple, particularly when updating the firmware. It is likely permanently re-locked or permanently disabled.

I understand that you are not able to sync a few songs you purchased from iTunes to your iPhone and other devices. There may be an issue with the file, but if you have the Apple ID and password used to purchase the songs, you can redownload them. You can even download the song directly to your iPhone.
