My iPhone 5 doesnt ring only vibrates.

So I got an iPhone 5 about 2 weeks ago. A few days ago it stopped ringing. The volume is on and the mute is off. I've checked the settings, bluetooth, all that
fun stuff but nothing seemed to be wrong. I think this issue started when I started to use headphones. I restored my phone, reset it as well. I got nothing. If I hear the ringtone it works, or any video, there is sound. But when recevieing a call, it just vibrates. Im not sure if this matters as well, if I move the switch to mute or unmute on the side of the iphone no message comes up. Although it is off at the moment.
If someone will be nice enough to help me that would be great.

Go to:
Settings
General
Accesability
Assistive touch - switch to on.
using the assistive touch (the white circle that now appears on your screen), go to:
Device
Then tap the bell (mute) icon.
This should fix the issue. To test it (without having to wait for someone to call you) write an SMS and see if the keyboard clicks are audible.
I hope this solves your issue like it did mine. If it doesn't maybe try tapping that mute icon again and/or flicking the actual mute bottom on the left hand side of your iPhone.

We do not help people with unlocked iPhones.
Make sure the switch on the side is set to ring, go to settings and make sure the sound is up and ring is on and all.
Other than that try to google a forum that deals with hacks.

having problems with the iphone4. just vibrates!!! Checked everything all ok. I can hear the music on the speakers! when you change a ringtone, i can also hear that, But when i get a call, it just vibrates!!! Checked the botton the side above the volume. take it up or down, just vibrates !!!!

I had the same problem. I took the phone to the local tech shop and they replaced a fried headphone flex cable. Cost me $70.

I have the same problem on a 4S, however, it happend before upgrading to 6.1.3. Upgrading didn't solvetheproblem.

My iPhone 4 (AT&T) suddenly won't ring when someone calls or I get a text, it only vibrates. The speakers play music fine, and I can have phone conversations and hear/speak to the other person fine. Also, the alarm clock sounds The mute switch doesn't seem jammed or anything, but when I switch it off, it doesn't show the picture of the bell with the line through it while vibrating to let me know its off. I had this issue as well but I figured out how to fix this issue by just reading previous responds, here's a way how I got mines to work .....
1. Go to Settings > Sounds > Ringer and Alerts
2. Turn off the "Change with Buttons"
3. Lower all the volume
4. After the above has been made ... turn up the volume using the buttons on the side of the phone. [Once doing it, you should start hearing your default ringtone]
5. Once you've started to hear your default ringtone just continue turning up the volume all the way
6. Finally turn on back the "Change with Buttons"
Now you can start hearing your lock sounds, dial-pad tone, etc.

Since you already said that the ring/silent switch is set to ring, check the following settings:
Settings > Sounds > Ringer and Alerts > Volume slider set to loudest?
Settings > Sounds > Vibrate > ON?

There is a switch on the left side of the phone, above the volume buttons. Flipping that will mute/un mute the phone. Also try pressing the volume up key a number of times.

Nope, still not fixed just don't know the phone is ringning at all without looking at it.

That is pretty strange, bro0klynbridge. But you've come to the right place for answers. Checking the contact settings to make sure you don't have the calls set to go to voicemail for his contact as Ann154 mentioned is a good start. When you select his name in your contact list, press menu and look for the "All calls to voicemail" box. Your phone will still show a missed call but the call will almost immediately go into your voicemail if the box is checked. Also, try to edit his contact listing and select a different ringtone to ensure his line isn't set to the silent option or possibly a ringtone that's been removed from your phone.

Iphone 5 rings only intermittently

My iphone 5 has stopped ringing intermittedly for months now on my iphone 5. I have been missing phonecall after phonecall. (And I've checked the silence/mute switch). A few days ago I spoke to a friend who has an iphone 5 and his phone is having the same problem of not ringing all the time. Yesterday, I went to the VerizonWireless store and complained to them about my iphone not ringing and they admitted that other people have complained about having the same problem! The employee tried calling me while I was there and it didn't ring .
Where is Apple on this!? My expensive iphone is being used as a fancy answering machine! The Verizon employee told me to sell this iphone 5 on Ebay to get $300 for it, but I told her that it would be dishonest for me to knowingly sell nonfunctional junk on Ebay. She praised me for my "integrity"?! Where is Apple?? These Apple forums are full of frustrated people who have the same problem with their silent iphone 5. I'm turning into an anti-Apple guy and am very vocal about this.
