  • Safari Problem, Server Stopped Responding

When I attempt to open a site I receive the message "Safari can't open this page because server stopped responding". I changed out my router and my iPhone 4 connects to my Wi-Fi but I just discovered this problem with Safari. So far I've not been able to solve the problem. Any suggestions?

    PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!!
Tried all the suggestions I could find and the only one that worked was to go to Wi-Fi, click on the > beside your network, then click on Forget this Network. Then go to Choose a Network and click on your network, you will have to enter you password. This solved my problem on 2 iPhone 4's........I did not have this problem with my iPad2 and my wife's Kindle Fire for some reason.

  • I have recently encountered a problem when trying to access 3G network from IPAD2.  Wireless access working fine.  When going on safari it attempts to access page and then comes up with message that 'server stopped responding'.  I have tried resetting.

I am unable to access 3G network, although wireless access is working fine.  When opening a page in safari it churns for a while and then says that server has stopped responding.  I noticed on one forum that it said something about changing brightness settings causing a conflict - coincidentally this first started happening after I had tweaked brightness.  I have tried resets etc, but still no joy.  Any ideas?

Am not able to use facebook on my Iphone 4, softwareversion:iOS7.1, also tried to access through safari and chrome that i have installed it gives an error message saying: "safari could not open the page because server stopped responding", i tried network reset, reset the whole device, rebooting , changing airplane mode rebooting nothing fix the issue, but i can access other sites and google , am using Vodafone as my carrier with 2g network, when at home able to access facebook.com through wifi in safari requesting assistance thank you

If you can access Facebook while on Wifi at home, but you are unable to access it while away running on your carrier's 2G network, I could phone your carrier.  You have already completed the Cellular Data troubleshooting for the iPhone, so any limitations keeping your from connecting to Facebook over cellular will have to be answered by your carrier.

  • Iphone 4 error message while in wifi "safari can not open page because server stopped responding" after iOS6 update

I am currently using my Iphone 4 in wifi networks only after canceling my cell phone plan. Over the weekend I did the IOS6 update on the iphone as well as updated my macbooks itunes and OS X operating systems updates that were available.  Since that my iphone's safara app won't connect.  After it trys to connect for a minute or 2 I recieve the message: "safari can not open page because server stopped responding".  However ALL other apps that require the phone to be connected to wifi for use work properly, i.e app store, imessage, pinger, facebook, etc.  I have checked all network setting and they looked right to me.  Anything I'm missing, ideas to try, or am I sol (lol)?  Safari worked perfectly before the update so I thought I might have done something wrong or forgot to change some type of setting.
    Thank you!

Hello - my safari on my ipad2 gives the following message "safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding"...email works fine and I can download from the app store...seems to just be a safari issue

    Marc-
The Safari message is probably telling the truth.  Is the problem repeatable at several websites, or is it only with a particular one?  If all websites, you may have trouble with your internet connection downloading large amounts of data.  Mail messages are relatively small unless there are attachments or embedded images.

  • TS1398 my problem is my iphone 4s is connected to the internet(wi-fi) with full signal strength but freezes when browsing and says "Cannot Open Page, Safari could not open page because the server stopped responding".

my problem is my iphone 4s is connected to wi-fi with full signal(3 bars) strength but freezes when browsing and says
    "Cannot Open Page"
"Safari could not open page because the server stopped responding"
I already reset the iphone to its factory settings and erase all contents but still the browsing speed freezes or not searching at all. Sometimes it will work and fast but then the problem uccors every now and then. Iv'e been using iphone 4 for two years and I still have it and works fine compared to this IPHONE 4S.

Settings → scroll down to Safari → in Safari settings, I selected both Clear History and Clear Cookies and Data.
IF that does not work -
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Finally - if problem still present -
    Go to Settings>General>Reset
Reset the network settings - you will need to add the password of your home WiFi in your phone once more
The device should turn itself off & back on then go into Settings>Wifi and join your network

  • My IPad2 will not connect to the internet, "Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding."  My AirPort utility shows that I am connected.  What could be the problem?

My iPad2 will not connect to the internet, "Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding".  I've run the AirPort utility and it shows that I'm connected to my Wi-Fi.  The connection works with both my iMac and iPhone.  I'm concerned that the problem is with hardware rather than software.

    Try the following:
    1. Turn router off for 30 seconds and on again
    2. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
    3. Reset iPad; hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo

  • IPad informs me that "Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding" I cannot access emails or interneton Ipad.

Ipad message "Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding". I cannot access emails or internet.

Thankyou for suggestion. My PC was working ok ( accessing emails/internet) which puzzled me. It's usually the PC that drives me nuts and the iPad that is great.I discovered my TV was having difficulty with a connection to broadband. I turned off the main Wifi router and switched it on again and all seems to be well. My IPad was suggesting, however, that all was well with the Wifi connection. It had a tick against it in Settings. Very strange!

  • IPhone 4 - Safari no longer working; server stopped responding

    Hi all,
Has anyone recently had issues with Safari? I've had this phone for a week and today Safari has decided it no longer wishes to work. When I try and load a page it states Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding.
    I have tried:-
    Turning off & on
    Resetting iPhone
    Resetting network settings
    Clearing cache, cookies and history
Turning airplane mode off and on
Still no joy and I'm becoming very frustrated.
Has anyone had a similar probelm and have a workable solution please?
    Thanks,
    Emma

    Issue fixed by Apple Support.
    Here's what it is.
Seems if you have a break in connection with Safari running this issue may arise due to the new multi-tasking function.
    The fix:
    -go to your home screen
-quickly double tap the home button (if done properly, the icons on the home "page" will gray out and at the      bottom will be certain icons.  Those are the icons for the apps that are running in the background that permit      multi-tasking.  Hold a finger over the Safari app icon until all icons start to wiggle.  Then tap the red "minus"      symbol on the Safari icon.  This will close Safari from running in the background.
-tap the home button again to restore the home screen display to the "colored" icons rather than the "gray"      ones.  The Safari icon should be where it usually is.
-tap the Safari icon to re-initialize it and it should take you to whatever home page you had set for Safari and you're back in business!
    Simple and easy!
Many thanks to Apple tech support Alicia for her help.  Thought I'd pass it along.

i do, but like i said it fell once and since then it hasn't been able to connect to my laptop. it acts like nothing's connected. i believe if i call the company the HDD is from they'll be able to transfer it to a new one but who knows how much they'd charge. looks like i have no choice now.
If it were truly a backup, then the media would play on the laptop as it would be on the laptop.
Sounds like you actually do not have a backup, instead you chose to keep your media on an external drive.
Regardless of where the media is stored, it's always a good idea to have a backup for instances like this.

  • Having trouble this evening loading web pages in safari message I'm getting is Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding

Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding can anyone help me please

    Hi ..
Restart your router then try Safari.
If that doesn't help, reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
You may have to re enter your Wi-Fi password.
