My iphone 5 goes "no service".
When my iphone 5 goes out of network, "no service" shows. But the phone doesn't search for network, even if there is, untill I tell the phone to search for network. Why?
They don't know quite yet. They are waiting to see what apple says since they have already sent a couple of units back for repairs. I asked them if three's network could be too weak but they didn't think so. They said it could be a problem from production.
Although they agreed that it shouldn't have to be this way, we shouldn't have to go into flight mode and back to have our phones working. But they recommended me to see how it works out with the ones already at apple and I agree. It could be that three have bad SIM cards so I don't want to have to send my phone away in vain.

Apart from the lock button problem in iphone 5 the display brightness suddenly goes blank and becomes normal after locking and unlocking the iphone. The Apple service centre in India is denying to service the iphone as it was purchase in USA even though the iphone is in warranty.
iPhones do not have an international warranty. Warranty is valid only for the country of purchase. This is most likely because different countries require different iPhone models. Not reasonable to expect all countries to maintain stock for all models.

Moved to "Partner" area - am I going to lose my iPhone cap & AT&T service
I'm in the military and just returned to the US after a year in the desert. I kept my iPhone and AT&T service while in the desert for an emergency. I've been reassigned and am now in an area where I am now using "Partner" service with AT&T. I've heard and read that AT&T may terminate my service because of the partner "roaming" and most of my service coming from this "partner service". My 2-year contract with AT&T for my iPhone is complete. So what I need to know - is there anyway that I can change the SIM to another US company? My AT&T phone service and iPhone have been excellent throughout the US and want to keep then, but this may not be my choice and I'm a bit angry about about - I can't help where the US military sticks its bases and wasn't my plan...and after 2-years of loyal iPhone cell service, I'm going to just be tossed aside - if this is the case - it just stinks.
I realize this stinks, but when connected to an AT&T partner network, this means you are connected to towers and to a network not owned by AT&T - AT&T gets billed by the partner network when AT&T subscribers use it. With a company like Sprint when doing the same, there is no coverage, or a Sprint subscriber is charged roaming fees, which aren't cheap. AT&T does not charge their subscribers extra for this as long as it isn't used more than 50% of the time when placing or receiving calls, messaging, and internet access over several months in a row.
The iPhone is sold as carrier locked with AT&T, and I haven't read any reports about AT&T unlocking an iPhone for any reason regardless if the contract has been fulfilled or not.
Does T-Mobile have coverage with T-Mobile company owned towers where you are currently stationed? T-Mobile is the only GSM network provider that comes anywhere close to AT&T in terms of the number of subscribers and network coverage nationwide.
You can call AT&T customer support to ask what your options are. Being in the military and having kept your service with AT&T while being stationed in the desert for a year may get you different consideration. -
IPhone 5 LTE full service but no internet in ONE spot

I live in San Francisco, have an iPhone 5 and LTE service and I get great coverage all over the city: at home, at work, which in in a basement of a huge concrete building, and lots of other place. However, there is this one area of the city that happens to be a residential garage on 23rd at San Jose, where I work on motorcycles that I can absolutely NOT get any data service. It will SAY I have service, "LTE" three or four bars, same "service" reading as I get in all the other spots where I get connectivity, but in this one 100 foot radius, no service at ALL. It doesn't make any sense. If it would just say "No Service" ok maybe there's an enviornmental factor here, but it SAYS I have service, yet there is just no connectivity.
Can anyone advise if there is anything I can do or at least give me an idea of what is going wrong?

I upgraded to iOS 5 on my iphone 3gs now phone service (AT&T) constanly goes in and out and battery does not hold charge. Can someone help me?
It appears to be a bug in iOS5. I have the same problem on the 3Gs and my new 4S.

My iphone battery goes from 90% to 1% in 10-15 min sometimes even without using it
My iphone battery goes from 90% to 1% very quickly sometimes in 10-15min, sometimes even if im not using my phone!
I may have 50% left at times and the phone will shut down and I won't be able to turn it in again until I charge it. When i charge it it turns back on with 50% battery! I don't get it.
I tried doing a reset and it didmnt help.

thanksIt sounds as if a process is locked. Since the reset did not work, then try a restore. First restore from a backup, and if that does not work, then restore as new. If a restore as new does not work, then make an appointment at the Genius Bar or Authorized Apple Service provider, depending on your location, and have the hardware checked.

i have a screen with the apple logo on it and a bar underneath it. it has been this way for about an hour now. what does this mean and is there a way to reset the iphone without going into the store? it isnt showing in my computer or on the itunes page.
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. -

I tried using devactivated function of flash.display.STAGE.
I used following addEventListener:

It worked for me but only when device is connected to development environment in debug mode. When I create my release build
it is not working.

I had to turn off automatic carrier (Settings - Carrier - Automatic toggle), select my carrier manually, and then turn automatic back on again. Fixed it for me.
