My iPhone 5 has lost all connections to 3G and phone signal

For the past 2 weeks my iPhone 5 says searching in the top left corner of the screen. It will connect to wifi but not 3G or my EE phone network. There are currently no appointments available at the Genius Bar local to me. Has anyone experienced the same issue with their phone?

Thanks but...umm.. Its on the home Mac all 203 songs, now it says I have just 50??? tries to download, then says that it can't download each song, moves on to next..unable to down load and so on and so forth.them .

I run my iTunes via a external hard drive, however it has lost all it's contents and I haven't backed up! What can I do?

My iPad contents probably 75% of my iTunes library, but I'm scared to sync just in case in wipes the entire contents. I know I should of backed up but it was one of them jobs I never got round too (will def do now if my problem is solved)

If all of your media is from iTunes, don't worry about it. You can either transfer everything on your iPad from your iPad to your commputer; and/or you can redownload from iTunes all music and apps, and most of everything else.
If any of your media is from other sources, that's not so easily recoverable. If it's on your iPad, you can transfer it to your computer via a third-party application such as Senuti. (There are many alternatives to Senuti, some work just as well and are free.) Anything from non-iTunes sources and not on your iPad is completely gone, unless you have CDs or other physical media from which you obtained it stored somewhere.
At least now you know how important it is to have a backup.

- First try resetting the iPod.
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home

- If still problem restore the iPod from backup via iTunes on the computer
- If still problems restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod since there may be some corruption that is also in the backup.

Why don't you just restore the to your pc from your most recent backup? You'll get the warning about erasing the media on the phone, but since you'll have all of your media and apps restored from backup, you shouldn't have much of a problem.

Out of nowhere my ipohone 4s has lost almost every contact.
The interesting thing- is the numbers that remain were all added after my last sync.
Even in the "cloud" it just has the new numbers....and I am not paying apple $19 for a one-time apple care troubleshooting session.
Anyone have suggestions as to what happened? At this point it appears even syncing it with computer won't work...

In Regards to this, You possibly wont be able to get the contacts from the iPhone 4 unless there is a back up file on your computer.
The original phone would be disabled due to alot of attempts of the wrong passcode. If all your contacts are on the cloud at the moment, you would be able to just set the iPhone 4S up with iCloud on it then Turn On "Contacts".
This would be bring all the contacts down from your iCloud onto your 4S.
But you will only be able to merge your contacts with the cloud when your original iPhone either has been enabled or the passcode was entered.
If you have previously already had iCloud on that device and have contacts Turned on, you will be able to just enter the same Apple ID you used for iCLoud on your original phone and use it on your new one.
Your able to check what content your iCloud holds via www.icloud.com
If you are unable to get past the disabled screen, then unfortunately the device will have to be put into recovery mode and then restored via iTunes NOTE: This will delete all data.

IPhone 4S has lost sound on iTunes, films and pretty much everything since ios6 update!

I updated to iOS 6 yesterday and since then I have lost all sound of my iTunes and films and stuff. There is no volume control available. It did work earlier for a brief time but stopped again. Try a hard reset.....

HT1386 I have a new computer and when I tried to sync my iPod Touch with the new iTunes, it has lost all of my music and videos from my iPod/old iTunes library: including all but 4 songs of my bought songs, videos and audeobooks!

I have recently updated my computer since my old one broke and therefore had to download a new iTunes. When I came to add my iPod to this new iTunes, I was given no option to transfer the contents of my iPod library to this new iTunes and was forced to try 'sync'; when my old computer was repaired once we lost all of our data so I had to download a new iTunes then,all of my iPod downloads were transferred and I could easily reburn my CDs so I didn't think the wiping of my iPod would be a problem. When I clicked 'sync' it warned me that it would replace the contents of my iPod with the new iTunes library, as I said I didn't think this would be a problembut then it asked if it should transfer my recent iTunes downloads so I said 'yes'. The sync was completed but now I only have 4 downloaded songs and 5 albums which I burned to my new iTunes! I have lost all the music I bought, all the videos I bought and all the audiobooks I bought! (Luckily I still have my apps.) I tried to restore backup but realised that only covers calendars, contacts E.T.C and I checked my iTunes account and that shows all my downloads but I can't see a way to restore them or anything like that!
Please help! I am in despair as you can imagine how much moneys worth I have lost and am losing faith in Apple

Correct. When you update via iTunes all synced media that is not in your iTunes library will be lost.

Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
I do not think it included audio books.

I have tried following the advise on Apples pages, even down to reinstalling everything, but still no luck...

I found the fault... The Apple Device USB Driver had loaded itself under the Imaging Devices. I Uninstalled it, and reinstalled it under Universal Serial Bus Controllers. And now itunes pick up my phone again.

I dont have any other username accounts. iTunes has had a breakdown and misplaced my entire library which is on my external hard drive, I havent lost the somgs just the location and all the metadata pertaining to it. Ok I have trouble shooted the problem myself and found the culprit. For whatever reason iTunes had created a n entire different library next to my usual libray and was referring to that!? I removed it and iTunes and the app purchases are back to normal. Phew!

Based on the description, the issue is likely on the Windows level. To verify this, please try some more .exe files, check if the issue occurs to all .exe files.
Anyway, for the Office problem, please try to repair Office 2010 from Control Panel -> Programs and Features to check the result.
You may also need to fix the file associations, or restore Windows to an earlier point. For Windows issues, please post the question in this forum below:

Update iTunes to the latest version
Plug your phone in and open iTunes
Select Back up to this computer
Once it is done
Then restore the phone as new
