My iphone 5 is bended

My iPhone 5 has less than a year and today when I took it from the pocket of my pants to answer a call I noticed it was slightly bent near the slot nano sim what should I do??

I had a similar problem with my iphone 6, it happened becouse it had bend. I kept on trying (I switcht it off and on, I took out the card etc.) and after 20/30 times it worked again, I don't know why.
(This happened about 2 monts ago, and now it works perfectly fine again. I never had the problem again

I've now learned that Consumer Reports says that it takes 70lbs of pressure to bend an iPhone 6 in the middle compared to 130lbs for the iPhone 5.  That tells me the iPhone 6 is almost 50% weaker than the iPhone 5.
It takes nothing less than an artillery shell to penetrate Superman's skin.  Another superhero (we'll call him 'Bob') can't withstand an artillery shell, but even .50 caliber bullets bounce off his skin.  So, yeah, Bob isn't as tough as Superman.  But that doesn't mean Bob is a weakling.
The fact that a previous device has greater durability than a current device is irrelevant.  What is relevant is if the stress tolerances are sufficient for day-to-day use.  70 lbs of pressure means you have to apply significant pressure to cause damage.
Go to a gym, and find a 70 lb weight.  Pick it up in one hand.  The amount of force you have to use just to pick it up is the same amount of force you'd have to exert on the iPhone to bend it.  It's not an everyday occurrence.  It happens through accident or neglect.  You may not think you had an accident or caused neglect... but you did.  Unintentionally, of course, but your iPhone did not just 'bend all on it's own'.  That violates the laws of physics.  There had to be some external (or, possible, but rare, internal) force applied.

  • My iphone just bend what will i do?

  • The iPhone 6  bends it needs a new metal structure

the IPhone 6 bends you may have seen this. The reason for it is because near the volume adjuster the chassis is extremely thin so with  pressure it will bend. in the meantime you should buy a case to protect it from bending

Ask them if its normal or try a google search and find out for yourself.
Without any details about where you are and whether this is Apple or another compan we cannot really answer your question.

ErickThanks for contacting AppleCare chat support. My name is Erick. How can I help you?
Me:hi i have had my phone for a couple months now and there is a bend in the phone.
    Me:i just noticed it yesterday
ErickOk so if I understand the issue correctly your iPhone is bent. Is that correct.
    Me:yes
The issue of a bent iPhone is regarded as accidental damage to the iPhone. And a Out of warranty fee is needed to fix this issue.
Me:even if i have only had the phone for a couple of months
    Me:?
Me:i put the phone in my pocket, i dont sit on it so i am not really sure how this even happned
    how much is the fee
ErickThe out of warranty fee for the iPhone 6 is $299.
    Me:so thats it
Me:i just have to pay the 300 to fix it
and i have only had it 2 months
ErickCorrect that would be the only option that we have.
Me:i've never heard of a phone bending
Me:ive had an iphone since they came out and this is my first issue like this

  • HELP!?!?! iPhone 5 bending issue

Has anyone experienced their iPhone 5 splitting at the volume button and then the whole iPhone starts to bend, I honestly don't know how this happened since I keep my iPhone in a case protected, haven't dropped or sat on it.. Just wondering if apple would repair this for free or would I have to pay if so how much cause I've only had my phone since Christmas?

    Yes,
There are pic's on line of others that have experienced the same issue. Many of the pic's are excessive but it is a real problem. It has happened to me twice, it's not as rigid as prior designs. I use a mophie case now and that keeps it protected but is bulky. Element makes a thinner case that works as well. My bet is that you won't see an aluminum back on the next one.

  • I heard iphone 6 bends. Are you going to make another iphone 6 but stronger than before?

A Lot of peole said that the iphone 6 plus and maybe the 6 bends because of the use of putting it in your pocket. So im thinking, are you going to make another iphone 6 that has stronger metal that is going to be fexible or are you going to make it a little thicker so it wont be a problem everyday?

Well unfortunately my iPhone 6 128GB is bending by the volume buttons. Have a Spigen Neo Hybrid case on it and has just been in my pockets whenever I don't use it. I also noticed an LCD hot spot in the middle of the screen. I'm very upset at the fact I'm having this issue..Not to mention I live 2 hours away from the nearest Apple store and for me to drive there just to get a replacement is an inconvenience of time and money...Also at this time most apple stores are out of stock of my device which puts me at an even more upsetting state.

  • IPhone 6+ bend over, can i apply warranty?

I had iPhone 6+ 128gb for 3months, i paid for it (1009 Euros) in Slovakia in MZONE = Apple Premium reseller. All time in Spigen case and with gorilla glass on screen. No physical damage, no scratches. It looks like a new one, but yesterday my colleague put it off from case and we saw terrible thing.
ITS BENT. I carry it in jacket, no in pants!
When i come to Mzone store, service man(technican) said to me its cosmetic defect. No warranty, he can swap(new device) it for 400euros or i can continue to use it.
The same with my Macbook Pro 13" Retina, left hinge squeaks. Statement of service man from Mznone premium reseller = cosmetic defect.
What can i do with this bad experiences?
    What to do next?

  • IPHONE 6 BENDING

My Iphone 6 warped after at least 2nd day of use.. I did have it maybe 15 mins in my front pocket regular jeans.  I went to an Apple store today and they Did not want to replace it.  I"m just going to Samsung now.. Not really wanting too, but this Bendghazzi this is unnnacceptable.  I owned the 3g, 4 and 5 Iphones and none of them warped in my pocket..
Question is, why is Apple not fixing this issue?  It's on the first 10 days.. This problem will only escalate.

Johnathan.. sorry to hear buddy.  People are not believing me but. it ***** when it happens to you.  I usually love all of Apple's products.. don't want to be a hypocrite. I'm typing this on a Macbook Pro,  I have bought and owned a lot of apple products, hate having to switch.  But its just not right.. I'll come back when the Holographc Iphone comes out.. But SURE, by then it will be made of titanium ..

  • How serious is this iphone bending issue

Okay so after days of waiting for my Iphone 6 I finally got my delivery message today to tell me I would receive it tomorrow. Within moments of receiving the good news, my excitement was crushed by all this bending banter. Now Im not wet behind the ears and have been with Apple for maaaaaaany years, so Im used to the usual post launch "gating" ending up being nothing but nonsense. This bending issue however seems different. At first I put it down to people not handling it correctly or whatever but after seeing the huge volume of users posting within these forums, as well as many other Apple related forums, it has me a little concerned. Even those who were not reporting issues with there 6's and 6's pluses at first are now looking closer at there devices and noticing the early signs of bending. Is this an issue that is mainly a problem with the plus, due to its size or are both devices just as easy to bend? I suppose my main question really is whether this is all a media blowout taking things completely out of proportion is is this a real issue which a lot of users will experience after several months of normal daily use?

I suppose my main question really is whether this is all a media blowout taking things completely out of proportion
Does the media ever do anything other than that?
is this a real issue which a lot of users will experience after several months of normal daily use?
No one can be certain, but if "normal daily use" includes routinely putting it in your back pocket and sitting on it, then the answer is almost certainly yes.
When the iPhone starts bending all on its own lying on a table overnight, that will be news. (It's happened).

Apple's not the one that put it in your jeans.  Apple's not the one the exerted excessive pressure onto the device.  My iPhone 6 has never had such a bend.  Nor have any of the 45 iPhone 6 units I manage.
You damaged it.  That's not a defect.  That's user abuse.  That's not covered under the warranty.  And additionally, the warranty of the iPhone is not, and never has been, international.  Cite your source for this information.  Show us exactly where Apple has ever stated that the iPhone warranty is international.

  • Is iPhone 6 bent problem serious?

I have an iPhone 4 since 2011 and decided to upgrade to iPhone 6, but i've heard (on the internet) new iPhones will bend easily. Is this true? I don't put my phone on the back pocket.
    Thanks.

Think what you want. As I mentioned, I was skeptical too. And I'd heard that it was only a problem on the 6 Plus.  The bulk of the media attention occurred before I was able to pick up my backordered iPhone6 and I still decided to get it.  I haven't watched any youtube videos related to iPhones bending. I'm not interested in watching anyone purposefully cause damage "for fun."  Certainly I agree that some amount of force must have been involved in my phone warping. Whatever force I exerted during the course of use couldn't have been much though and there was no obvious event that caused damage. I should also mention that it wasn't bent in 2.  The glass wasn't damaged at all and the phone was fully functional, but after 2 weeks it was slightly curved near the lower volume button. Any amount of bending on an electronic device is alarming to me.  When the Apple tech removed my sim card, the sim card tray was also bent, which surprised me and the tech. The pressure tests done in the middle or one end or the other of the phone may pass with flying colors.  But it seems possible that there is a lack of reinforcement around the cutouts in the frame where the buttons are, allowing some flex in that area. Or maybe I just got a bad one. Either way, I'm handling the new one like fragile crystal until I get it into a heavy duty case... and I kind of miss my old iPhone.

  • The top left of my iPhone 4 buckles

    Hey guys,
The top left corner of my brand new iPhone 4 bends and makes a noise when any pressure is placed on it.
I am very upset because it is a brand new phone and I am afraid this could lead to further problems down the road.
I was just wondering if this is normal or if anyone else is having the same problem.
Also, what can I do about it?

It is under warranty. As I say, iPhones do not bend. If yours does, you have a problem. (Although I don't see how you can bend glass or the stainless steel band)

  • Bent in iphone 6 plus

i have purchased my iphone 6plus from USA and i am residing currently in india, there is a bent in my iphone near volume buttons , how can i get my phone replaced or fixed in india ,

The warranty on an iPhone is valid only in the country where it was originally purchased. You will want to contact Apple in the USA and see if they offer anything for you to ship it back to the US and have it diagnosed. Just be aware that when the iPhone 6 Plus came out there were a lot of people claiming their iPhones were getting bent and Apple was looking at each of those on a case-by-case basis. Since then it has been determined that quite a bit of force needs to be applied for an iPhone to bend. Independent testing shows that 90 pounds of force needs to be applied to get an iPhone 6 Plus to bend. Therefore, even if you are able to send it back to the USA for diagnosing, it may get returned to you stating that physical damage is not covered by the warranty.

  • Cannot sync all music to iphone 5

On my new iphone 5, all the songs in the playlist do not sync, only the ones purchased that have a check next to them.  The other songs will not allow me to check the boxes - how do I get the entire playlists to sync?

I have had this problem.  Many posts on the forum, I have spent hours trying to fix this with those suggestions and no luck.  Thought apple might get their act together in 8.1.1 update but I have not heard of that fixing this issue.
Temporary fix is to uncheck the sync of music on iTunes and sync your phone so that all music should be off...then go to the Settings>General>Usage>Manage Storage (Under storage tab not iCloud)>Music then Edit and delete all songs.  For some reason there are often songs remaining on your phone even when you have told iTunes not to sync music.  Be aware some of these syncs can take hours.
At that point your music app should show no music.
I have turned off iCloud sync and iTunes match (not sure if that was necessary.)
Go back to iTunes and sync the music you want by checking playlists, etc. (This takes at least 2 hours for my phone given the amount of music I have)
***The key after doing this is not so sync your phone again.  This stinks because you are not backing up but every time I sync my phone to iTunes after getting the music back on initially it has messed up the music files and some music starts to disappear.  I have (every several weeks) done the above process just to have a valid backup.
I am VERY frustrated.  Forget my iPhone 6+ bending, this issues and the time spent is almost enough for me to leave the iPhone...despite having iMac, Macbook pro, apple TV, iPads...

  • IPhone 6 screen replacement

I was just wondering, with all the latest news about the new iPhone 6 bending in peoples pockets and getting damaged, it seems that Apple will replace the iPhone if it's damaged over a certain level. What about if I got my iPhone 6 through EE? Are EE also going to replace damaged iPhones with this latest issue?

I presume you are aware this is all just media hype anyway.  Apple have actually had less than 10 customers complain to them about this issue with the iPhone 6 Plus (no issues what so ever with the 6) out of the 10 million+ iPhone 6/iPhone 6 plus sold so far.
AppleCare + does cover upto 2 accidential damage claims within the 2 year period with an excess of £55 each time (including screen damage or water damage).  AppleCare + can only be purchased at the same time as your iPhone directly from Apple or within 60 days of your iPhone purchase by calling iinto your nearest Apple store or by ringing Apple.  They will run a remote diagnotics program is both case to check your device.  AppleCare + for iPhone costs £79.00.
The only thing AppleCare + does not cover is lose or theft.
