My iphone 5 is no longer charging with a new apple cord and lint has been cleared. Please help. It just started happening this week and I have tried everything. Is this a software / driver problem? We all know the battery doesn't last a full day if you "use" your phone like a normal person. I am very frustrated! My daughters iphone 5 started doing this a few days later than mine as well.
Not much help I'm afraid but I use my iPhone 5 like a 'normal' person and it's battery almost all day. Perhaps there's a hardware fault somewhere? Have you tried the usual reset and restore?

Since installing iCloud, my iPhone 3GS no longer syncs with my Outlook2010 Calendar and Outlook2010 Contacts. I don't know what else to try, short of resetting the iPhone and completely reloading as a new device. Any ideas, anyone?
It's good to know. The Apple instructions for loading iCloud on a PC just seem to have either overlooked or hidden this limit. The larger problem is that it partially works: partially and erratically. So clean-up is great fun.

Mophie iPhone 5 Case - iPhone will no longer charge using the apple cable.

In July, I purchased a Mophie Case for my iPhone 5. Everything was going great until I realized a few months later that my iPhone would no longer charge using my apple cable. It would only charge using my mophie. Turns out my husband, who also has a mophie case, was experiencing the same issue, my case is the mophie Juice Pack Air and my husbands is the mophie Juice Pack Helium Battery Case. Later I was telling this to a friend at work and she mentioned having the exact same this happen to her phone after using a mophie.
I contacted mophie, not to try and get anything, just to let them know and see if they had any ideas.... well they were not receptive at all. They said, "I do not think that the juice packs could have done that to your phones. I would need some sort of objective evidence." I said that multiple customers experience is evidence, to which they said "I need objective evidence. Simply because a person thinks they know the cause, doesn't mean they do. If there was an Apple engineer saying that it was the cause...heresay does not constitute solid evidence."
So yeah... apparently a customer calling to let them know their experience is meaningless to them. So I am turning to the apple community. Has anyone ever experienced this with there mophie. Any ideas why this may have happened? We have only used the cord that came with the case and apple cables on our phones.
Any info you have would be appreciated.

JamyeMophie was not denying that you had a problem charging your phone. What they were telling you was that what you don't have is proof that the mophie case caused the problem. It might be, it might not be. As the saying goes, correlation does not prove causality. What troubleshooting steps have you taken?
I used first the mophie Helium and then a mophie SpacePak on my 5S without it imparing my ability to charge it with my Apple cables or other lightning cables (Belkin car charger). And I've known many other people who haven't had a problem. -
I have been receiving charges from apple itunes and nothing has been purchased. When I look at the charges on my online banking a phone number is provided, but when I call that number it tells me to go to the web site. Trying to talk to someone live is a nightmare. How do I get ahold of someone to help me with these charges before they start to really negatively effect my bank account?
You've checked the purchase history on your account to see what app(s) they are from ? If you log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. Click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases. And you haven't got any auto-renewing subscriptions : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4098 ?
If you haven't made them, and nobody else has access to your account or devices and may have made them, then you can try contacting iTunes Support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption -
My screen won't work, i have tried turning it off but i cant swipe the power down button because my screen doesnt work. I have only had my iphone 4s for one day and this has happened, someone please help me.
Did the trick! Not sure what I did to cause the screen to go numb, but this worked perfectly!!! I cleaned the screen and must have inadvertently selected something that locked the screen. This perfect solution kept me from having to run to the Apple Store. Many thanks.

I recently have reset my ipod touch 4g with a new apple id and cannot download Facebook,Skype or any app that reqires ios7 or later but ipod 4g can only have ios 6.1.6
Starting when iOS 7 was released, Apple now allows downloading the last compatible version of some apps (iOS 4.2.1 and later only)

You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists. -
Iphone 5 no longer charges with lightning cable
Just something weird just happened with my iphone, can longer charger my iphone, the cable does keeps popping out, doesn go all the way in, cannot find any cosmetic damage with the iphone or cable, off to the apple store. It been in the case from day 1, never dropped. Cannot find anything in the forum who else had this problem, am i the first?
After managing to get it to charge 100%, i realise the connector in the iphone is lose, it moves from left to right, only charges when moving to the right, def a lose connection on iphone. Speaking to customer services

IPhone 5S no longer charges with Verizon Car Charger
I bought my iPhone 5S the day it came out and everything has worked smoothly until about two weeks ago when my iPhone refused to take a charge from my iPhone Verizon brand car charger. I have not updated the software recently. It was already up to date. This is the Verizon car charger that was sold as a bundle when I purchase the phone. I would understand a little better if the car charger did not work when I purchased but now I am confused. Does anyone know a fix for this?
Hi,
The iPhone says that some chargers may not be authorized and therefore may not charge (paraphrase) but I don't see the lightning bolt next to the battery. The Apple charger that comes with the phone works and my larger iPad charger also works with it.
There is not visible damage to the car charger and I do not remember mishandling it in any qay.

My iPhone 5 doesn't charge with new iTunes
I just upgraded to OS X Yosemite on my mid-2010 MacBook Pro and I plugged my iPhone 5 in so I could sync it with iTunes. The phone icon shows up and my phone says it's connected and charging, but less than a minute later, it's not charging anymore. My phone's name appears at the top of the iTunes screen but nothing happens when I click on it. Meanwhile, my phone's sync icon is steadily spinning even though no information is being traded. I can't tell if it's just my phone acting wonky, iTunes being stupid, or OS X screwing everything up. The only time my phone actually charges with my computer now is when I plug it up while the computer is closed.
I'm expecting to get my iPhone 6 plus very shortly so I'd like to have this problem solved before it comes so I don't have the same problem with it.

My iPhone 5 with iOS 6.1.3 keeps crashing at 45%!when my iPhone nears 45% from a full charge it suddenly says the phone is 20% then 10% then 1% and then it goes dead.when I plug in the charger instead of waitin a few minutes for it to turn on,it instantly turns on and says the battery is 45%!this is OK at home where I can keep the charger plugged in but what about when im on the go?PLEASE HELP!!!
This is most likely faulty battery. Make Genius reservation or set up service and take or send to Apple for resolution under Warranty.

If on a Mac, & you elected to save the passcode to your Keychain, you can recover the passcode from your Keychain. Otherwise, your data is unrecoverable.
While you can continue to sync/backup, if you can't remember it & want to remove it, you'll have to delete your existing backups & restore the phone as a new device. Your data will be unrecoverable.
You delete your existing backups here: iTunes>Preferences>Devices.
If you have data on your phone, like messages, you want to save, you're gonna have to use third-party software, like this, to extract them from your phone. Notes, contacts, etc, you can just sync back to your phone after you restore as new:

Startup keys with new Apple Keyboard and MacBook Pro
Upon powering up my Rev. A MBP, I hold down the OPTION key on the new Apple Keyboard to select my startup disk. Strangely, the startup went straight into the default startup disk that I have chosen previously. I didn't get to selection stage.
I tried with the old/white Apple Keyboard and my MBP keyboard and startup disk selector is A-Okay.
I hooked up the new keyboard to my new Mac mini and did the same thing and no problem.
Haven't tried with the rest of the startup keys like C or X yet with the MBP. Wonder is this a software bug between the MBP and keyboard.
Anyone with similar experience?Actually, startup keys sequences do work with the Apple Wireless Keyboard (the old white one). I know because I have been using it that way with my Macs, PPC and Intel ones.
I tried Command-V, Command-S, Option, T, C and Shift on the new keyboard with my Rev. A MBP and it goes go straight into the Apple logo.
Swapped back to the old Apple Keyboard with my MBP and tried the keys above and no problems whatever so.
Hooked up the new Apple Keyboard to my new Mac mini and did the same keys without problems.
So, my conclusion is there something between the new keyboard and Rev. A MBP. Maybe someone with similar setup should try wha I did and see if they face the same issues. -
Okay, so I got Apple to restore my whole Mac operating system, and it obviously reset all my settings and computer to factory settings. As I now have an iPhone 5 and wanting to backup my iPhone 4, I can't do this as my Mac does not have any recorded backup's from before as they were deleted in the restoration. So i want to plug my iPhone 4 in to back it up. The main question is if I plug my iPhone 4 in, will it erase everything? and if so, how do i prevent this from happening as I have very important data on my iPhone 4 i can't lose.

Georgia!Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

If you have Find My iPhone enabled, you can use Remote Wipe to erase the contents of your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode after the device has been erased. -
I have tried seemingly everything and my phone will not connect. I have reset network settings, rebooted my modem, tried the series of steps listed starting with turing on airplane mode...nothing has worked. I have time warner internet service and it connects just fine with my mac and my husband's ipad and LG phone. I have tried typing in my network name but it always says "could not find the network", which is frustrating when I'm using "the network" to google search this issue. Please help!!! Thank you!!
D13, thanks for these details. This an awesome clue. Are you able to connect to this Wi-Fi connection with other devices? Let's try a few steps to resolve this issue.
First, reset the network in Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network and power your device off/on.
Secondly, delete the Wi-Fi connection in Settings>Select your Wi-Fi>Forget this Network and the try to connect to that Wi-Fi again.
Lastly, try creating your Wi-Fi connection. Tap Settings>Enable Wi-Fi ON. From Choose a Network, select Other. Enter the Wi-Fi network name. Select Security. Select the Wi-Fi network type then select Other Network. Enter the Wi-Fi network password then select Join
