My iPhone 5 is not recognized by computer
I just recieved my new iPhone 5 yesterday in the mail and when I plug it in to my computer (Window XP) it doesnt even recognize it. It just make 3 beeps and I dont know why? I just want to sync my music and videos to my new phone.
same problem has occured on my iphone recently. i plugged it into my sisters mac and it is recognized. But now that i plug into MY computer in which it was WORKING properly since i got the iphone 5, it is not even recognizing it at all anymore. it doesn't evencharge. Also, i know my usb ports work because i plug in my sister iphone 4 and my ipod and it works.i resetted my smc and it still doesnt work. reset hard reset the iphone but nothing works. REALLY need help for me and fellow Mo SaxA.
PLEASE HELP! CANT KEEP IGNORING AND SENDING US THE SAME OL' "CLICK HERE FOR INSTRUCTIONS TO FIX" and send us to a apple support page that we say that DOESNT WORK FOR US!

My phone stopped syncing a couple of months ago, but ive used the computer to charge it. Last time i used the computer to charge it was 2 weeks ago. When you say "Powerbook", exactly what model of Mac are you talking about? Is it really a PowerBook G4? What OS are you running?

You should get it serviced or looked at by visiting an Apple Store or contacting Apple:

Did you try recovery mode? Hold down the home button as you connect it to iTunes. iTunes should pop up a window that says "iTunes has detected a device in recovery mode" and give you the option to restore.

My IPhone 5S is not recognized on my Itunes so I cannot transfer music from my library to my phone. I use window 8.1 OS. My ipod touch is recognized so the problem is limited to my IPhone 5S. I have tried the solutions offered by Apple support What can I do?
I had a similar problem with my iPhone and fixed it. You might as well give this a try even if your iPod works. This is what I did. (Follow these steps):
1. Make sure your phone is not connected/plugged to your computer then continue on step 2.
(For some reason, apparently iTunes also get installed to iPhone's which makes it sort of faulty.)
2. By going to your computer's Control Panel - Uninstall itunes. To completely uninstall itunes you need to uninstall 5 programs in this very sequence. (You have to make sure you follow this in order.)

Bonjour
Apple Application Support
3. Then simply re-install the latest iTunes. Go tohttp://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ , on the left side of that page you'll see a blue botton that say's "Download Now". Press that button and it should allow you to make sure that you've downloaded the latest iTunes.
4. Once you've reinstalled it go ahead and start iTunes and connect/plug your iPhone to your computer. iTunes should now be able to recognise your iPhone.
5. If it still does not work try unplugging your Iphone again, restart your computer and connect your Iphone once more. See it your computer recognises your device.
Steps 1-4 worked out real well for me so I hope it does for you too. If still a no no why not try and contact apple themselves they should be able to give help.

Even though my software and hardware is up to date my new iPhone 5c is not recognized by my computer or itunes, it does not even load or show up on my desktop. Is anyone else having this problem?

My iPhone 5 is not recognized by iTunes. My iPhone is iOS 7.0.4 and my iTunes is 11.1.4. When i connect my iPhone to the computer, all that happens is the file view opens and shows how mush usage i have left on my phone. And when i try to connect it to iTunes, it does not recognize my phone at all. When i used to plug my phone in, iTunes would automatically pop up and i was able to download music or whatever to with iTunes.

My iPhone 5 is not recognized on my PC w/ Windows 7, nor Windows 8. It does not charge while plugged into either computer, but it does charge when plugged into the wall! I tried uninstalling, downloading a new copy and installing iTunes on both PCs. There is no sound when I plug the iPhone into the computer. Device Manager does not have an entry for any Apple device anywhere. Am I screwed? There is one thing: I have not yet updated to the latest firmware, but I have been holding off because its been a long time since I backed the phone up. I'm really worried!!! Please help, I'm out of the 1 year warranty on it.

Thanks for the response. There is no cloud icon next to them. All of the songs play on the phone still and no song was purchased through iTunes. I added them manually and tried to remove them manually. According to my iTunes they've been removed but they are still on my phone and working.

Can't get my Music off of my iPhone 4...
My computer died & had to get a new one, so now I cannot sync my iPhone 4 with the new computer, without losing all of my Music, because the only Music I have is on the iPhone 4 only, not on the computer. No Backup anywhere : (

I got my pictures off because you can access them when you connect the iPhone using Windows 7 but you cannot see any of the music so you cannot access it when using windows so don't know what to do...
Help...The music sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases. File>Transfer Purchases
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion. Use your backup copy to move everything to your new computer. -
