My IPhone does not show up under Devices in I Tunes when I plug it into my computer. "Devices" no longer appears on the menu at all down the side of the page.

Have got latest version of iTunes and iOS but iPhone 5 still not showing up in devices. Windows has recognised iphone and has transferred photos so USB working ok. Have restarted both laptop and iPhone. What else can I try?

I am unable to see my iPhone in the itunes window. I authorized the computer but it still will not show. Under devices it is not listed. Any suggestions?
You do see the devices heading on the left sidebar? If you don't see the sidebar, go to View>Show sidebar in the iTunes menu and then check to see if the device appears.
If that isn't the problem, go through the troubleshooting steps. It could be the Apple Mobile Device Service issue.

IPhone does not show up under devices on my hard drive
I have a MacBook Pro and an iPhone 4. At one time, my iPhone did show up under devices on my hard drive until I did something really stupid and deleted it. It has never shown up since. Any help out there? (It shows up in iTunes just fine.)
Is your iPhone fully charged? If not, it will not upload to PhotoStream, to save energy.

My iPhone often does not show up as a device in iTunes (Mac version) unless I turn wifi off, then back on. When I do this, he iPhone appears as a device. My iPad always shows up as a device. It's only the iPhone that's a problem.
Occassionally if a picture is saved from an email, an MMS or copied from a website, it has had the tendency to create an error when trying to import the pictures from the camera roll. If that is the case on phone "B", then it is suggested that you email the offfending photos and then delete them from the camera roll. Once that is done, most will then appear in Windows. Not sure if this is the case for you, but that is generally the first fix.

Just got a new computer.....migrated all my stuff for my old macbook....everything works fine except when I try and sync my iphone 4......it doesn't show up in iTunes....iPhoto opens up and it did show there but not in iTunes...
Any idea how I can fix this?But will it work after you reboot next?

I have an apple iphone 4 that I want to download audio books from my library onto. I cannot figure out how to do that. The iphone does not show up on my mac laptop as a connected device. Does this kind of download have to run through itunes? Thanks
Yes it is done through iTunes. The iPhone will never show up in Finder as a device.
