my new iphone 5 locak/sleep button is stuck, i have no idea about it. im so afraid because i never experienced it on my last iphone 4. i never dropped my iphone. duh its iphone. we know that it is expensive and i will drop it? no way! guys. please help me. its cover in 7days warranty, replacement, but globe told me that they are not accepting replacement in iphone 5. what should i do??

Of course they'll replace it. But you will most likely need to pay the out of warranty exchange fee, which in the US is $149.00.
Another option is to google and find a 3rd party iPhone repair shop near you, since your warranty is expired anyway. -

No. And neither will Verizon. You should be syncing it with, and backing it up to your computer and/or a compatible cloud service like iCloud.

I woke up one morning and my new iphone's lock/sleep button was really hard to push. It didnt click it only felt like it was stuck, except I could turn it on and off using pressure. Just wondering if theres any way my warranty would cover this or any way to fix this. Anything helps really, thanks.
I'm having the same issue. I have turned off Voice and Data in the Enable LTE setting and have only kept it on Data Only, because where I work, my phone constantly switches between 3G and 4G LTE. I don't think the signal is consistant enough where I work for VoLTE yet. have dropped at least 5 calls in the last 2 days. My iPhone 5 NEVER dropped a call. Also my signal doesn't seem as strong as my iPhone 5. It was rainy out yesterday and the iPhone 6 stayed on 3G the entire day. The only way to get it on 4G is to switch Enable LTE off and back on again. Not to mention my display is kind've buggy. I really hope the next update addresses these issues. Hard to state best iPhone ever, and not have it work as well as the last gen.

My iPod Touvh 4th Generation won't turn on. It will not charge even after I used a few chargers and will not connect to a computer. The Home button is broken and I don't know if the Lock/Sleep button is now broken or stuck as well. I believe there may be a problem with the battery or the backlight. I've had my screen replaced once by some stooges. What should I do?

How can i restore an iPhone 5 from Recovery Mode loop with broken lock/sleep button?

I just tried to delete all my data from my iPhone 5 32gb iOS 7.0.4 (with not working lock/sleep button) to install iOS 8.0.2 and after that the loading bar appeared on the screen. When it finished, the iPhone rebooted and went into Recovery Mode loop and it is still in it (after 3 hours +). Also, iTunes doesn't detect the iPhone at all.
I hope, the solution will be found, thanks.Any suggestions?

My Iphone 4 shut off randomly last night while charging. It will not turn on with or without charger (I have tried multiple working outlets and usb ports. Didn't work)
The lock/sleep button is broke (I tried pushing it down on multiple surfaces as hard as I could while holding the home button. Didn't work.)
My Itunes will not identify the phone is hooked up to the computer (my itunes is completely up to date. I tried all the methods of pressing down the home button and pluuging in the usb chord while Itunes is running.Tested my roomates Iphone 4 with my chord and it charged and Itunes identified it. Tried his chord as well. Didn't work.)
All the advise I can find in these communities involves using the phone. The screen is black completely black no matter what I do. Apple won't repair it, they just offer you an out of warranty replacement, cost is US $149. Me? I wouldn't spend that kind of money on a discontinued model. I'd sell it for parts on eBay or go to a third-party repair shop. Be aware, if you go the third-party repair shop route, you forfeit all support from Apple, including the right to an out of warranty replacement. -

The only way out of Recovery mode is to connect to iTunes and restore. If you cannot access the computer you normally sync with, you will lose all of your content, unless you sync to iCloud. With no backup present, your content will be lost.

My iPod Touch 4G Lock/Sleep Button Will Not Work
I recently had an incident with my iPod Touch 4G where the screen was shattered to the point of no use. I sent my iPod Touch off to a Non Apple repair place (good example of why you should NEVER do this) due to me not having enough money to get apple to fix it and there not being a warranty on my device. When I got it back everything is working except for the lock/Sleep button. I asked about it and the person I had repair it said that he could not find what was wrong with it. Is there any way that I can fix this without paying a large price or am I never going to be able to get this fixed? I cant turn it on without plugging it in, lock it, or unlock it and it is really annoying and I am thinking about just getting rid of it if I can't get it fixed.

My lock sleep button just stopped working. It feels loose and it no longer clicks. I have not dropped it and it has always had an Otter Box on it. I took it out of the case to double check and its not cause of the case. Looking online this seems to be becoming a bigger problem. My one year warrenty ended two months....HELP!!!!
The iPhone is out of warranty so Apple won't replace it. This happened to me not to long ago and the guy at the Apple Store showed me a feature that I used as the Sleep/Wake button until I got a new iPhone. Give it a try.
Settings > General > Accessibility > AssistiveTouch > Toggle On

Not sure why this happened. All the sudden the other night my lock/sleep button stoppedon working (button on the top left of the iPhone).
Its VERY hard to press in, and it's not sticking up as much as it should be. I have to use 2 fingers to press it, and I have to press very firmly. I don't want to send it to Apple because I need a phone and I don't want to go without it for weeks while they fix mine. Also the closest apple shop is 2 hours away.
What can I do?!Settings > General > Accessibility > AssistiveTouch > Toggle On
This feature can be used as your Sleep/Wake button for now.

Where can i repair my iphone 5 lock/power button?
I have a problem with my iphone 5 lock/power button, it works randomly, but the main issue is that my carrier won't agree to repair/replace it under warranty since it has some minor scratches in the sides.
Here (at mexico) we do not have apple stores so I can't take it there, also apple refuses to take it under warranty because the iphone was purchased directly with the carrier. Any suggestions on how can i solve this issue?
I think it kinda lame to have the year long warranty just to realize you cant make it valid here at mexico under some dumb technicallity.Until you sort out the "dumb technicallity". Use Assistive Touch for perfect Virtual Lock Button. Tap Settings App > General > Accessibility > Assistive Touch > ON > tap new white screen button > Device > Lock. This can even be used to turn iPhone OFF. To turn ON connect to power, charger or USB of computer.
