My iPhone 5 music purchases won't sync?

I purchased some songs on my iPhone 5 and they won't sync to my iMac. They just sit in iTunes with the empty circles next to them. I have tried multiple syncs, plug/unplug it, and wifi sync but nothing will get them to download into iTunes. Suggestions?

Welcome to the Apple community.
First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

Music library won't sync to iphone, how do I clean up my phone?

My iphone music is a mess and won't sync with itunes.
I have tried -
Downloading all manually that could from the cloud.
Downloading all purchases manually.
Turning of show all music. *with a power off
Manually deleting all songs.
Nothing works and itunes will not sync.
Most of the songs are greyed out when I show my iphone in itunes.
How do I wipe out all the music on my phone and start a fresh sync? Or second question, do I just need to do a restore?
I have been struggling with this since December and am ready to scream!

If you rent from your iphone, then you cannot watch from any other device.

Some itunes purchases won't sync to iphone - says computer not authorized

Last night I set up my 2 computers (desktop and laptop) to home share and authorized both. When I try to add purchased music to the library on the laptop (from the desktop), some of the albums will add fine, but some will say that the computer is not authorized. I don't remember which computer I was on when I purchased each album, but that shouldn't matter with sharing, should it? I authorized both computers and still get the error on some albums.
A while ago, I had to move all my music on the laptop (moved it all from the C: drive to the D: drive b/c I ran out of space). Would that make a difference? I can still see all my purchased music in the "purchased" folder, but can't add the albums from there either.
I can't seem to add music right to my iphone from the desktop when on the laptop either. Isn't that what the sharing should allow me to do?
I'm running Vista if that makes a difference. Please help, I want to get my music on my phone! Thanks.

So does that mean if I buy something from iTunes, I have to buy it on one computer (desktop) and can only sync to that one? Or should I be able to pull that music to the other computer (laptop) through the Home Share and then sync to that?
Almost all of my music is on the desktop. Do I need to have it ALL on the desktop and then put whatever I want to be on the iPhone onto the Library on the laptop and sync with that?
Still not sure why some of my purchases won't add to the iPhone??

The Sync starts and finsihes but no changes are made to the content on the iphone. No files transfer. Tried both wifi and cable sync.

I originally tried the Manually Manage Music and Videos and even though I selected what I wanted to copy and then clicked the Sync button.....nothing gets copied over. I then tried copying over my entire library (and I expected the phone to explode since my library is HUGE) and clicked the Sync button....nothing got copied over.
I have uninstalled iTunes, reinstalled iTunes (and lost half my library thank you Apple).

Re-installed Windows 7/iTunes 10.7. iTunes sees my iPhone 3gs. Won't sync. I have back ups to the cloud and my computer but moved my music folder. How do I resync with a backup??? What's the file called that I need?

I don't want to lose all of my apps. iTunes does see the phone but either has miscalcuated and told me I'm over
the size of my allocated sizes for music/apps, but when I uncheck, it still won't sync.
Best way, I assume is to go back to the last backup. So help me out here, what are the file (s) I need and
where are they best stored? I have all my music now on my J drive, not my C drive.

I backed up to the iCloud and to my computer. Only thing I seem to be missing is a couple playlists. I just didn't want to lose my paid apps.
So what I see in my music folder and then another folder called iTunes and then files like iTunes Library, iTunes Library extras, iTunes Music Library aren't anything that is a back up, I take it, since you said the back up would be under programs? If this statement is true, now I "get" it!
And just to be clear, in iTunes, in my apps, there are all the apps I have gotten for free or paid for. But the problem there was that the Sync was grayed out and if I check it, everything goes crazy with saying I don't have enough room. I unchecked the music folder, and still had problems.
Oh, I hate this part of the iPhone stuff!

I have spent countless hours trying to correct!!! What is taking Apple so long to address??? I get the greyed out songs with a circle on the left side (below). Never had this issue until iOS7. I'm running Windows 8.1. HELP!

Version 11.1.5.5 of iTunes was just released today. If you update to that, does that help with the syncing troubles?

HT1386 Selected music/playlists won't sync onto iPhone 4, causes "canceling sync".

So I just updated my iOS to 7.0.4, my iTunes to 11.1.3, and I did a factory restore, then put all my backed up data back onto my iPhone 4 (almost 2 years old). My music has always given me a bit of a hard time, but it wa smainly because I dislike using iCloud and sharing options. I just want to put the songs from 1 playlist onto my phone, that's it. So I disabled iCloud options and sharing options, went to sync my phone, and now none of my music is being put onto my phone. My iPhone is only 8GB, so it's very limited. But I have over 2.5 GB of space when no music is put on, and my one playlist is only 1.98 GB of songs. Everything else syncs fine on my phone, apps, ringtones, account info. It's JUST the music. It'll sync about 7-8 songs, then stay in "Canceling sync" mode until I get out of it (usually by quiting or applying the "unslected" sync music option). I use my iPhoen for calling, texting, email, instagram, and music. It's a BIG thing that I can't use it for music atm. I need help. I have checked every other forum about this, every option given has not helped me. I have reset, restarted, restored, deleted, resynced, and tried practically everything! I need help to fix this. I'm not sure if it's an iOS 7 problem, iTunes 11.1.3, the music app, the songs themselves. But I'd appreciate anyone helping me to narrow it down. I know enough to get by technology wise, but I'm very basic and need thinsg explained in details. Like don't just say "Reroute x to y, and you'll be fine". Give me steps to follow, I will try them and give feedback on whether or not they worked. As well, here are screenshots of the songs as they're attempting to sync, so you can see the problems.

Looks like its a software issue with the latest Itunes patch. I see several people are reporting this problem on the page and yet no solutions currently exist to address it. I tried several possiblities myself with no success. The only remaining solutions I can see are to "reset" your device and try to sync all appropriate apps, music, photos, etc.. once again. Two wait for the next patch, or three to attempt a recovery from a previous back up on your computer.
I do not have the time currently to attempt the ones I can do. If anyone wishes to try and can report a success I think many of us would appreciate it.

Why are Apples software developers such idiots? Can their software ever come up to par with their design and marketing??? This is McDonalds all over again- no the best hamburgers don't sell the best and neither do the best phones, at least not in America.
Someone prove my wrong by showing me how to get these extremely important audio recordings off of my iPhone and onto a usable format. The recordings are up to an hour long and I've already tried reinstalling my iTunes software, they aren't even visible in Windows Explorer, or iPhone Explorer software... but when I turn on my stupid phone they are there - I have restored my phone from backup and reset my phone and this just astoundes me yet another feature that a 7 year old could require in a software design eludes inclusion- "If people may spend hours and hours recording meetings and important conversations should we make it simple to move audio files recorded with the audio recording app included with every phone to computers so that they can save them to computers, CDs and share and send them others?" ...."YES!!!" . Why is Apple so against open source control of these phones and especially an audio download platform? Money- so they can profit off of every song played on these stupid phones. Great job Steve! Way to force users of your products to become leemings in your plot to control the online music community profits. Way to put your greed before your customers. This too will fail. Consumers always get what they want in the end- enjoy the profits off of online music purchases while they last... in the meantime at least consider puttings some money into hiring some programmers from Nokia to fix your stupid syncing code and terrible iPhone interface.

IPod touch 4G randomly deleted music and won't sync?

So my white iPod touch 4G was plugged up to my computer to charge like always. When I went to listen to my music it said there is "no content, please purchase...". Now the majority of my music is downloaded straight from itunes but there are songs I've downloaded from importing CDs to itunes and then to my iPod. All my songs are still on iTunes, so I try to sync the music back to my iPod and it says that all my music IS currently on the iPod, but when trying to sync from my purchased list (where some songs aren't on my iPod) it won't sync because it says "iPod couldn'y sync because it couldn't be found. I'm horribly confused and I really just wont my music back so please help!

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Try another USB port
- Try cable
- Try on another computer to help determine if yo have an iPod or computer problem. Do not sync to the the other coputer, just see if iTunes sees it corretly.

Music video won't sync to device

I downloaded a music video (Born Free by M.I.A.) and moved it to my desktop for some reason and now, it won't sync. It's visible in my iTunes library but I can't drag it anywhere. I probably have to move it back to a certain folder, right? Do you have an idea where that folder is located?

Music library won't sync

I have a problem. When I first got my iPhone 4 I was syncing it with my laptop, but now my laptop doesn't work all the time so I transferred my music onto my desktop computer and wanted to sync with that but since you can only sync with one itunes library it asked me if I wanted to erase the data and replace it with this other one. So I did and now it won't sync any of the songs and they all have exclaimation points next to them. I have no clue what to do and I am frustrated because now I have NO music on my phone whatsoever. Apple TV Purchases won't sync to itunes on laptop

Purchased movie on Apple TV and it won't sync to itunes on Laptop.

We are struggling with the same issue. Just to be clear - this is only happening with movies which has me thinking it's a size/timeout issue. It syncs podcasts and music purchased from iTunes to ATV so I know the sync process is working. Then it says "Syncing Ferris Bueller's Day Off" (that's the movie we purchased) and it stops only after a few seconds of attempting. We have moved the ATV back to our office and connected it directly into our time capsule network source to see if load was issue with the wireless but this did not improve the situation at all. (as stated in your post - our movie is greyed out as well) I'm thinking we will end up having to delete and re-purchase (which is terrible but at least it's only one movie) on our actual computer and just never do a purchase via ATV again.
If anyone has any suggestions before we do of other things we could try - please let us know.

Iphone 3- Calendar Won't Sync

I've had my 3GS phone for 1.5 years and have been syncing on a normal basis. As of yesterday, it won't sync with my outlook calendar.
It says "can't sync calendar cause sync server failed on your iphone."
Any Advice?

On Mac OS machines sync. errors are logged to the "Console" which appears to be the rough equal to the event logs on Windows machines, but I'm not sure that iTunes records any diagnostice information in the event logs on Windows machines... but it might be worth a look.
The easiest way to the to the event logs it to type Start --> Run --> Eventvwr

IPhone Reminders App Won't Sync

My iPad, iMac and iCloud web page all sync with Reminders, but not my iPhone 4. anything I enter (Reminders, Lists) on the phone only stays there and won't sync, even though I have it turned on in iCloud settings.

Sjazbec, I had already read that page, and done the steps. Nothing had worked. That was not "my fix."
My fix was actually to delete the iCloud account on the iPhone, wait a while, then to re-authenticate. Then everything synced up.
And a request Sjazbec - either engage in converstion about specific problems, or just avoid threads, but spare us the elitist attitude.
