My Siri on my IPhone keeps randomly popping up and turning on. How do I stop this?

Had a similar issue with Siri popping up randomly. Even went into the settings menue to turn Siri off.  Voice control would come up instead. In my case, sometimes when I would try to turn off the iphone, it would snap a screen shot leading me to think the home button was somehow stuck.  Long story short, had the Home button replaced at a cellphone repair shop for about $59 and my problem is now fixed.

  • How has someone HACKED my iPhone 5c? and how do I stop it?

I upgraded to an iPhone 5c Monday with AT&T. The first night I got it I was downloading the usual apps and setting my phone up using my Apple ID and iCloud. I downloaded a new app called Tips, by Trusper. Not saying that is the cause but that is the app that I was in when this started. It started flashing like it got a virus and the next thing I know something took control over my phone. It went into my Facebook and shared my friends. Went into my iTunes to see if I was plugged into a computer, went into my settings looking at thing. The whole time I was freaking out cause I wasn't doing this! I instantly deleted all the apps I downloaded. It's like a remote person was fighting with me for me not to go into my setting and hit the reset phone. That didn't work, even when I powered off and back on it started again. I would try to go into an app or mail and it would back me out of it and go into the calculator or my settings or Facebook. It then went into my iPhone search and typed Pepe... And then went into my maps and was trying to locate something. I instantly thought oh crap what if they are trying to find my location and so I immediately tried to shut the phone off which it tried to get me not to by swiping my swipe back. Finally it powered off and I left it off all night. The next day I called AT&T and spoke with them, they sent me to apple operator. They are completely clueless on how it happened and how to fix it. We tried all the normal things. I changed all my logins all my passwords. Reset the entire phone from scratch. Later that night, I thought all was fixed and while on my phone again, all by itself,it went into my email, looked at 2 of my emails, went into my Facebook messenger, looked at one of my conversations and hit the thumbs up like button and send. So now it's taunting me. It started again about an hour later. Now today while I'm using it, it went into another message and hit a laughing emoticon to a friend. Then tried going into my other apps again. WTH is happening? No matter what I've done, nothing is working. So now the plan is to go exchange the phone and start a new id and life on my phone. Anyone had this happen or have any clue? And no I'm not seeing things or on medication, my husband and kids watched if to. I'm trying to catch it happening and get video of it.

Ok, There is only one way to solve this problem, Delete the app that you download and then restart your phone (make sure you saved your data in iCloud).
And if that don't work maybe can help you more.

Again if you want to help do so here. Drawing posters to email conversations is against the TOS of this forum.
    Anyway:
Currently there is no way to remotely hack an iPhone. If it was doing strange things it may have been a glitch or bug in the iPhone.
Have you tried restarting the phone?  Hold down the Home and sleep/power buttons  until the Apple logo shows up.
If its still acting up a replacement would be in order.

  • Updating Iphone Firmware freezes Iphone... How can I stop it happening

    Hi all.
I have a persistant and irritating issue that whenever I attempt to download and install an iphone OS update, it will get to about 75% complete and then freeze. In order for me to sort this out, I have to unplug the iphone from my Macbook and install the update on my PC. This also happens with my Ipad.
Its a pain as it then means that once the OS update has been installed from my PC, I have to recreate my iphone from the last backup from my Macbook.
Has anyone else encountered this, and solved the problem without having to resort to using another computer or some other method. Would a complete uninstall and reinstall of Itunes help maybe?
Id like to be able to plug it in, install and go without the faf im currently having.
    My set up is:
    Iphone 4 - 32GB
    Ipad - 64GB
    Macbook Pro 13inch - 4mb RAM, 320GB hardrive
My macbook is brand new and I was hoping it would have solved the problem by having a new machine, but (maybe stupidly) I resorted this new Macbook from the Time Machine backup of my old one so that all my data was transferred, so I think that if its something to do with the Macbook, the problem has been transferred over from my old one.
    Any ideas?

I'm having the exact same issue. Initially I thought it was my phone, but now believe it to be the iMacI'm using to perform the update.
I first had problems when I tried to update my iPhone 3g to ios 4.0 a few months ago. It would get about 2/3 of the way through the update then hang. I took it to the Genius Bar and they were able to perform the update with no issues.
Then yesterday I tried to upgrade to 4.1. Had the same exact problem. I went back to the Genius Bar again and this time I was given a replacement 3g. However the replacement phone was only at ios 4.0. When I got home I tried to update the new phone to 4.1 and again, it hangs at about 2/3 of the way through the update. Since this has now happened on 2 phones, that pretty much means it's got to be my computer.
I've tried all the troubleshooting tips I could find. I've put the phone into DFU mode, tried different USB ports, removed and reinstalled iTunes, even reinstalled OS X 10.6 on my iMac, and I'm still having the issue.
Unfortunately now it looks like my only option is to use my Dell laptop to do the upgrade...how tragic!

  • My iMAC often freezes after waking from sleep, or occasionally freezes at random. How do I stop this?

I have 10.6.8 on my iMAC. I have been shutting down my iMAC partly because I often get freezes a few seconds after the mac wakes. The freezes also occur at random. There is seldom any way to shut down the MAC except by pulling the power cord, though very rarely I am able to finally achieve a normal shutdown. I have tried fixing permissions as well starting in Safe Mode, and while these seemed to help at first, they no longer seem to have any affect.
I thought that maybe I got some kind of virus/trojan/etc., but from what I have read here that very likely is not the case.
I have also read here that the issue could be  "hardware."  Does this mean things like my printer or external speaker, or external hardrive? or does it mean the hardware of the computer itself? I have read about a "Hardware Test." Does this "Apple Hardware Test" have a benefit here in figuring out the problem?
Does anyone have any suggestions? I certainly can't keep 'pulling the plug,' and I know now from these discussions that shutting down (vs. sleep) on a regular basis is not best either for the imac. (I am loathe to upgrade to LION until I get this problem resolved, though, interestingly, I seem to see that a number of LION folks have the same or similar problem.)

    FussGus,
    Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
What periherals, especially USB ones, do you have attached to your Mac? Does the problem persist with everything other than the Apple keyboard and mouse disconnected?
Does the problem persist if you Start Up in Safe Mode? If so, check what items are in /Library/StartupItems and /Library/PreferencePanes.
As generic advice for sleep-related issues:
For a Mac OS X with sleep problems (file names and locations are for 10.4.x):
    -- trash /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.PowerManagement.plist
    -- trash /Users/[username]/Library/Preferences/com.apple.systemuiserver.plist
-- reboot while resetting PRAM (restaqrt while holding down command-option-p-r until you hear three sets of chimes, then release the keys)
While not directly related, since your wakes before freezing, also refer to Computer Will Not Wake From Sleep

  • When I receive an imessage from someone on my iphone and I respond, how do I stop it from responding to all recipients and just have it sent to the person who sent it to me?

My niece sent me a text yesterday with a photo of her baby. I responded to her but it went to everybody she had sent the initial text to. How do I just respond to her?

Okay than this definitely was not Apple. Apple support techs never have access to your mouse. It sounds like this company installed some software on your Mac. It is hard to tell what their intentions are but just assume in these situations that all your data was compromised. Possibly all your online accounts have been compromised such as social networks, banks, etc.. The smartest thing to do would be to change all of your passwords and reinstall OS X on your Mac. It sounds extreme but that's what happens when a 3rd party company gains control of your computer.

Since my update to iOS 8 every time we get a call, each phones rings, but we still won't this because only one is mentioned with this call, please help us to stop that, however?

That is a new feature described in Connect your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch using Continuity
    You can turn it off:
    Turn off iPhone cellular calls
To turn off iPhone Cellular Calls on a device, go to Settings > FaceTime and turn off iPhone Cellular Calls.

Several times it jumped to local host. Several it jumped to Embarq search page and said it couldn't be found. (Amazon can't be found? Really!)
I tried it in Safari but the problem seems to be limited to Firefox.

  • Iphone randomly beeps

    Hi all,
HELP!!! My iphone keeps randomly beeping/vibrating (if it's on silent). It's like I have a new message, but I DON'T have one. It's not a calendar alert, or an alarm, or a new sms, new voicemail, new email, new anything. It is just randomly beeping. There is no standard interval, it can beep every minute or every 5 minutes, reset, power-off... and it beeps as soon as it starts back up. It isn't jumping on and off the wi-fi or edge, I'm at home and haven't moved and it still beeps. I restored my phone and it stopped... for about a day, now it's back at it and worse than ever!
This is really irritating. I googled and found a message about a similar problem that no one ever posted a solution to; I'm hoping I can find one here.
    Thank you!

I thought it was just me but now and then mine does the same. Mine is not bad though and only a few times a day but when I go to look nothing is there, no notifications, sms, emails, etc....

  • When im on the phone my ear keeps pressing the apps how do i stop it

when im on my phone my ear only has to touch an app and it keeps beeping how do i stop it from happening

If you have a screen protector on the phone, remove that. If that still doesn't work, there is something wrong with your proximity sensor. Make an appointment at your local Apple Store for servicing.
