My iphone 5's top button problem

My iphone 5's top button which i used for key lock is doesn't work. i live in İstanbul in Turkey. ı called apple store which name is Zorlu Apple center, about this buttom problem, they couldn't help me because of my iphone seen ABD. Can you help me.

If your top button isn't working; you should consider replacing it. A hardware failure like that would prevent the ability to power off the device/hard reset it....THe best you can try to do is a forced recovery mode if able

The top button on my iphone 5 stopped working recently.. Well it works but barely at all if every. Most of the time it only locks the screen if I click on the left side of the button. Also my Camera causes a blue pixelated spot on pictures I take.

It's completely situational. Without being able to directly compare the "scratch" on the original poster's iPhone with your iPhone, what gaamcc had happen could not be extrapolated to guess what Apple may do in your situation. It will depend entirely on what the Apple technician diagnoses after examining your iPhone. He/she may decide that any damage is strictly cosmetic and didn't have any connection with the problem you're taking your iPhone in for, or he/she may diagnose the problem as stemming from user damage. You'll just have to see when you go to the Apple Store.

Mine is not a question but I received the solution to the iphone 4s not discovering bluetooth, you hold the top button and the home button until the apple logo comes up and then let it reboot, put your bluetooth in pairing mode, and then turn on bluetooth

My new iphone 4s would not discover bluetooth. I called apple, and the guy was great!!! He told me to hold the top button and the home button together and do not let go until the apple logo came up, this would do a hard reset. Then when it reboots, you turn on your bluetooth in paring mode, and then turn on the bluetooth on your iphone 4s and it will find your bluetooth device. Simple, yet it works!!! Hope this helps those of you having the same problem I was having trying to connect your bluetooth.

I have created a site with iWeb. I have replaced the iWeb Nav bar with a vertical one I made myself. Problem is, my top button disables itself if it overlaps into the "hidden" nav bar area. I can cmd click and drag it into this area, but then all the rest

Problem is, my top button disables itself (and the animation doesn't work) if it overlaps into the "hidden" nav bar area (indicated by a blue rectangle). I can cmd click and drag it into this area, but then all the rest of my site is pushed down the page. Don't know what to do about this. I don't know how to bring the rest of the page up without dragging it also into the designated nav bar area. Well, you made a good start with SEO by getting rid of the iWeb default navigation since it doesn't help the spiders and, out there in the real world, there are more people than you would think with javascript turned off in their browsers.
One of the downsides of iWeb is that it doesn't allow for the alt attribute in the img tag. Its well worth adding these to give you extra keywords even if you have captioned all your images. Use iWeb SEO Tool for this...

iPhones do not have an international warranty. Warranty is valid only for the country of purchase. This is most likely because different countries require different iPhone models. Not reasonable to expect all countries to maintain stock for all models.

I'm not looking for any warranty help or something, I just want a diagnosys of my phone's situation....
My phone is acting as if there was no battery in the phone. When there is no cable plugged, nothing happens. When there is a cable, something happens (not a lot though....).
Could it be the battery port on the motherboard that's down ?
PS : I've taken a Genius-bar appointment because I can't stand in that situation for years, so I'm not absolutely looking to gain money and avoid Apple's official help.

Shawn is COMPLETELY incorrect. Apple does NOT fix phones, They exchange them. Further, the Apple warranty is NOT international.
You will need to bring your phone to Singapore if you want any service through Apple. It is extremely unlikley that Apple in Malaysia will touch the phone.
If Apple refuses to service your phone in Malaysia, you'll have to find a 3rd party repair shop and get it fixed there. Naturally, this will void any remaining warranty.

I have an iPhone 4 and it still in good condition but sometimes, the Home button doesn't respond quickly or doesn't respond at all. What to do?

I seem to have fixed my iPhone 4 home button problems.
1. Sync phone and back up.
2. Go back and resync phone but uncheck all the apps you have purchased/downloaded so that your iphone will have no additional apps on it.
3. Now reset your phone as a NEW PHONE.
4. When reset as NEW, unplug it and try home button functions. I'll bet they work just fine, like mine did.
5. Now that you are satisfied you can resync your apps, but be choosey. Re-install only a couple at a time, and test your home button each time. You'll soon find out which of your apps is causing the problem. It's time consuming and irritating, but it certainly works.
So far - no problems with my selected re-installed apps. My home button works fine.
However, I recently purchased several photography apps and an emoticon app and that was when the problems appeared to have started.
So I've been very selective in putting only the apps I want back on ... for now.
Hope this helps.
I will report back to tell you if this complicated but effective solution has worked for me.

Apple does not repair devices beyond replacing the screen on some models or a battery replacement. They replace the ENTIRE device.
For the Out of Warranty replacement cost, you could have gotten a fully functional replacement device. Instead you chose to spend less to get only the screen replaced and continue to live with additional issues.
Apple will not touch the device now. They will know that it was opened elsewhere and that the replacement screen is not original.

Home button problem in iphone 3g 3.0

After upgrading my iphone 3g to 3.0 software, the home button has become so unresponsive, i have to click it 6-10 times sometimes to awake it. I mean what is it, dont you check the update before making it available to public, i mean its annoying, my 2 other friends have same problem as mine, they are on iphone 3g too. even 3.0.1 behaves the same way. comeon folks, become professional, kindly fix this thing in next firmware release.

I had exactly the same problem - I bought my iphone 3gs last week, upgraded it and had the 'home button' problem. I tried all the fixes - restarting, resetting to factory settings, reloading update, etc. Then, a few days later, it all sorted itself out - no idea what happened, but since then my home button has been working perfectly! I have a feeling the factory reset and reload of update might have been the one that eventually did the trick...but since then, touch wood, it has been working perfectly. I would suggest trying the factory reset and see if that helps...make sure you back up first though!
