My iphone 5 turned off
I had just finished using my phone and I pressed the lock button (top right button). I put my phone down and then decided to use it again. When I pressed the home button to use the phone again and unlock the screen, nothing happened. The screen is still black as if it was locked. I tried holding down the home button, the lock button and both buttons. NO respsonse. I'm guessing the phone turned off? I didn't see no Apple logo or white screen and my phone was acting "normal" before all of this. What can I do! What should I try HELP
Charge it for 15 minutes with the mains charger, from the wall, then disconnect and hold the HOME and SLEEP buttons for 10-15 seconds until an Apple logo appears.

It should be telling you to download the latest iTunes on your computer... you can't install iTunes on your iPhone.

That's normal behavior. It turns off automatically in order to preserve the battery. Pushing the On/Off button turns it on immediately. This also requires entering the passcode and prevents the phone from being accessed by anyone but you.

My software was up to date, I did a restore and a restart. My iphone kept turning off in the middle of the restore so it took a while. Nothing seemed to work. I left it charging over night and it did finally charge.

It's not normal.. It restarts the iphone when your open a specific application?? Try deleting the application and re-download the application again..

Ok. I have doen some research and I have some things for you to try.
First, what version iPhone do you have?
Second, Try holding the home+sleep button for ten seconds and you should see the apple logo come up.
Are you using your iPhone with a Mac or PC?
Have you upgraded to iTunes 11? -

IIf the battery was completely drained it might take some time before the phone will respond. Wait at least 30 minutes with the phone connected to the charger. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. If the phone starts up let it continue to charge until it's 100%.
if the broken button will not let you do the reset Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support. -

After I downloaded iOS7 and my iPhone turned off I keep getting this message "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes." I dont wanna lose some stuff from my iPhone.
During a normal install of iOS 7.0.6 this does not happen but something clearly went wrong in your installation.
To fix this, connect to iTunes and restore to Factory. Hopefully your iPad will be working again and you can restore your iCloud backup during Setup. -
Why does the iPhone turn off after phone calls. I've had two phones now, both have had this problem. It doesn't happen on all calls. On one phone it happened more than the other. But the Iphone turns off after some phone calls and it takes anywhere from about 15-40 seconds before the turn on button will actually turn on the phone. Is this a hardware problem, or a software problem?
It's neither, it's normal. If the phone was asleep when the call came in, it will go back to sleep when the call ends since this was the last thing it was doing when you accepted the call.

Well, that is going to make it difficult, since the first two steps of user troubleshooting require the use of the power button. I suggest you get that fixed.
