My iPhone 5 updated but when trying to update iMessage and FaceTime it does not work!
I downloaded the new update on my iPhone, but when it was time to update iMessage and FaceTime (using Apple ID and password) it says network unavailable! Then it does not install.

I am trying to perform the same function in Lr that I have been doing for many years in the past and has only been a problem in the last few days (possibly coinciding with upgrading to Yosemite, trying to find out whether that is the problem)
I am not intending to sync any files with Creative Cloud but only trying to use 'Synchronize Folder' function in Lr. Normally, I would right click on a particular folder in Lr catalogue and click on that function to check that the Lr Catalogue is perfectly matching my drives where the original photos are actually stored.
The problem that I only started to encounter is that I can see the files on the actual drives but they do not appear in my Lr Catalogue and they are completely invisible to Lr. I simply can not get Lr to recognise them and then import them to catalogue.
If for example, I export images to Ps and then save and close them, they do appear on my drive but are invisible to Lr and I can't get them imported into the catalogue. Import to folder also not producing any results as they are still invisible to Lr.
Completely baffled by it. Any idea what could be the reason?

I have a 2011 tahoe. My bluetooth functioned properly until I updated my iPhone. Now the iPhone connects to the Tahoe but when I try to call a number it does not work. Either it cals the number and has no outgoing or incoming sound or it just says it iis unable to complete the call.
I would check with the Auto dealer where the vehicle was purchased to check and see when the bluetooth software was last updated on your vehicle. With the vehicle being a 2011 and if the software has not been updated since the dropping of IOS 7 then obviously there will be software incompatibilities.

Lightroom 5.7.1, Yosemite OS X - Synchronise Folder function doesn't work in Lr.
Is there a compatibility issue? I can see the folders/images in Finder but when trying to synchronise folders in Lr it does not recognise that there are any images and therefore unable to import to catalogue. Anyone has any idea how to make it work. Thanks a lot.Hi Elba,

I have recently got a new SIM card and is working but as soon I try to activate FaceTime and iMessage it says network connection error although my network is fine etc, as on a Apple help page it says contact Apple if this occurs but there is no way to contact Apple. Please help!

Lilkey what has happened is yours got corrupted or there is some sort of permissions or other issue that it didn't get updated.
I recommend you backup your files of the machine to a external storage drive, then run through this list of fixes to tune and repair your machine.

I have an Apple iphone 4s and for the last 4 weeks I cannot download or update any apps. I have an iPad and a Mac book pro and the apps download on these devices fine. My phone tells me that I have 12 updates but when I press update all or update any individually nothing happens at all. It also does not ask me for my password any more but my iPad and mac book do.
I have signed in and out of the app store and the password is correct. I have tried both kinds of reboot but that did nothing. I backed up old phone to PC then did a sync to new 4S but when trying to update apps on phone it states - account not valid in Argentine store, must switch to U.S. store. I am in US and when I view account on PC it correctly shows me in US. Now what?

keep getting a message that firefox is outdated but when trying to update the download is the same version on mac os. The version is 34.0.5 .As soon as I launch the brwswer i get the update message.
hello dbajayo, your useragent (the information the browser sends to websites to identify its version) - apparently mistakenly - shows you're on firefox version 3.6.
probably some sort of toolbar or adware has overwritten it. please refer to this article in order to reset the user-agent settings in firefox: [[Websites say that Firefox is outdated or incompatible even though it's the latest version]] -
When I add an event to calendar on my iphone, it updates on my MacBook Pro. But when I add it on my Mac, it does not update on my iPhone. Help please.
Change your time zones in the settings, They are not on the same time zones.

prompted to update iTunes today and now it does not work. tried reinstalling and caanot successfully reinstall.
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

I did my 7.1.2 update via iTunes. Half way through it stopped working saying it does not detect my phone. Now my iPhone 5 is in recovery mode and hard resetting does not work for me. iTunes also will not detect my phone now
Thank you SO very much for posting this. I had the exact issue with my iPad Mini after the same upgrade. Hard reset failed, computer would not recognize iPad. I had read all the other instructions and nothing worked.... YOUR SOLUTION WORKED FOR ME - with a slight variation.
I followed your lead and connected my iPad Mini to another computer, fired up iTunes, it saw the iPad Mini in Restore Mode and allowed me to go into Restore (yes, it wiped all of the data but I have a back up on the other computer that would not see it after the failed update). It installed the latest iOS 7.1.2 as well. I then disconnected it from that computer, reconnected it to the computer that would not see it prior and it then saw it as a new iPad and allowed me to Restore my backup and now it's all good!
I detailed my steps only because you downloaded the previous version - 7.1.1 whereas I downloaded the latest version (7.1.2) and then restored my back up. -

I spoke too soon. I tried Facetime again last night and had the same problems. Another factory reset did not work. I think it may be time to just call Apple support.

When trying to create a desktop icon, it does not go to the URL.....instead I get 'script' and not a website......the script has http//etc but I am not directed to the website......I previously had IE 8 (on Vista).....is that the problem?I do not have any installed plugins....at least none that I know of.....remember I am a new user......Basically, the desktop icon is not going directly to the Mozilla FF to get me to the web site I need to go to.....FF works when I use the Mozilla FF icon.....just not the icons I create.....THANKS!!! You can try dragging the site icon of this page on the left edge of the location (Address) bar and release it on the desktop. Please try opening it. You can try setting each zone in the Windows Control Panel or IE > '''Internet Options''' > '''Security''' tab to '''Default Level'''.
