My iPhone 5 was reset by mistake now my music won't download which I'd purchased from iTunes and I tried buying another tune on iTunes , it won't download to my phone but it downloaded to my ipad3

Hi can anyone help please, my iPhone 5 was reset by mistake and now my music will not download to it even though it was bought from iTunes, i purchased another song with my iphone5 and it won't download ether to my phone but has downloaded to my ipad3

Try force-closing the music app on your iPad by double-tapping the home button, swiping up on the preview above the music app, then tap the home button again.  Then reset the iPad by holding the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release.  When it restarts go to Settings>iTunes & App Store, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in.  Then try downloading the songs from iCloud again.

  • Why does it say the phone could not be synced because the connection to the iPhone was reset?

I have a new iPhone 6. I am trying to sinc the new phone to my iMac however it says "The iPhone could not ne synced because the connection to the iPhone was reset.
What does this mean? what do i have to do next?
I have restarted both the iPhone and iMac and started the process again and again however this message keeps coming up.
    Please help

If you are using a USB hub, switch to a USB port directly on the iMac.

  • "The iPhone (iPhone name) could not be synced because the connection to the iPhone was reset".

This started yesterday at about 10:30am California time and hasn't stopped or been fixed. Whenever I sync or try to backup my iPhone 5 it goes through the process but right when it's about to finish backing up it gives me an error message that says "The iPhone (iPhone name) could not be synced because the connection to the iPhone was reset"
I have tried using a different USB cable, using a different port on my macbook, restarting both my phone and my computer. And nothing works and I have search through about every search engine and this problem isn't to be found anywhere online. Posting my problem and calling Apple support are my last options. Also I am still running on iOS 6.1.4 and have not updated to iOS7 because I want to be able to have an up-to-date backup file in case anything goes wrong. And I don't want to restore a backup because my last actual backup is from a couple months ago. But another thing I don't quite understand is that even though that message comes up, a couples minutes later my iPhone's summary says the last backup was the current time like it actually DID back it up. So my question is if the error message says that it can't be synced then why does it show that it actually did backup? Please help because I really would like to get rid of this problem so I could backup and sync to update to iOS7.

  • HT1296 Can't sync because connection to iPhone was reset

Just brought home very first iPhone (5S).
Already had iTunes installed on PC.  When connected, iTunes sees PC but then says "The iPhone XXXXX could not be synced because the connection to the iPhone was reset."
What does this mean, and does anyone know how to fix it?

I am having this same problem. I too, already had a version of iTunes on my computer (win7 os). I had just purchased my iPhone 5S and was syncing it for the 1st time. While attempting to sync, I was adding music & and a couple of apps. Shortly after I began syncing, iTunes started to update to version 11.1.4.62. I have not been able to sync and receive the message "The iPhone XXXXX could not be synced because the connection to the iPhone was reset.". I have tried many of the suggestions people have offered on this site. Nothing has worked. Everything possible on my phone has been reset.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?

  • The iphone could not be synced because connection to the iphone was reset

    Hello,
I have an iPhone 5 and have upgraded from IOS 6 to IOS 7.  IOS 7 has been great unitl I just started getting the following error:
"The iphone could not be synced because connection to the iphone was reset"
I get this error, when I plug my phone in my mac.  After getting the error, the iphone does not connect to itunes, so the phone will not Sync with Itunes and will not charge.
    Please help!
    Thanks,
    Gary

I recently posted about this problem already but Apple decided to ad hoc delete my comment because I did not speak favorably of Apple making a comment not to their liking which (was),
there is no support solution coming at all from Apple even though various individuals report the exact same or simlar problem here, including myself on Apple-sponsored community blogs.
Well, I took this problem into my own hands and was able to simply resolve the matter on my own, (I think):
Under System Preferences / General / Reset....
    * "Reset All Settings" (first at the top in the list on that page).
That seems to have resolved my issue with this nagging problem.
"the iphone could not be synced because connection to the iphone was reset"
At least so far I seem to not be getting this problem.  You will still keep all your data but it will reset your system's settings (i.e., multiple keyboard selection, et el).
Hope this helps someone out there.

Try the Boot Camp Assistant when you are in OS X and download those and follow the directions in BCA utility.
Then look up the Boot Camp forum. I suspect you thought this was MBP related forum, it is for 65 lb tower model (and well the new "nMP Late 2013 Mac Pro" http://www.apple.com/support/macpro/

  • I have a lock rotation on my iPad 2 and it won't change from landscape and I tried to reset it but nothing and I tried from lock rotation to mute but nothing and I don't no what to do now. Can u help me plz?

I have a lock rotation next ti my battery on my iPad 2 and it won't change from landscape and I tried to reset it but nothing and I tried from lock rotation to mute but nothing and I don't no what to do now. Can u help me plz?

With Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to 'Lock Rotation' have you then moved the switch on the right-hand side of the iPad above the volume control 'off' ?
Or with the switch set to control 'notification mute' you should be able to unlock rotation via the far left of the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. The function that isn't being controlled by the side switch is set via the taskbar instead : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4085

Audiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store. If you don't have it on your computer (audiobooks go into the Books part of your iTunes library) nor on a backup, then if it's still in the store you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will grant you a re-download : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

There are lots of ideas floating on the web for this particular issue - all of which I tried. I had the same problem and it turned out to be my USB cable. I thought the cable was fine as it would charge my phone and play but the data transfer pin was bent. I replaced the cable and it fixed the problem. Worth a shot as it is an easy fix!

  • I downloaded a TV episode and it looks like it is basically completed (the line is almost at the end) but the download won't finish and I keep getting the message "Download error, tap to retry" which doesn't work. I've tried everything. Any suggestions?

I've tried rebooting, closing out and reopening iTunes, and even tried to repurchase the show in HD (which the iTunes Store won't let me). Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not downloading properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the entry, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.
(Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.)

    Try:

Place the iPod in recovery mode using one of these programs:

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
