Try force-closing the music app on your iPad by double-tapping the home button, swiping up on the preview above the music app, then tap the home button again. Then reset the iPad by holding the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release. When it restarts go to Settings>iTunes & App Store, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in. Then try downloading the songs from iCloud again.

This started yesterday at about 10:30am California time and hasn't stopped or been fixed. Whenever I sync or try to backup my iPhone 5 it goes through the process but right when it's about to finish backing up it gives me an error message that says "The iPhone (iPhone name) could not be synced because the connection to the iPhone was reset"
I have tried using a different USB cable, using a different port on my macbook, restarting both my phone and my computer. And nothing works and I have search through about every search engine and this problem isn't to be found anywhere online. Posting my problem and calling Apple support are my last options. Also I am still running on iOS 6.1.4 and have not updated to iOS7 because I want to be able to have an up-to-date backup file in case anything goes wrong. And I don't want to restore a backup because my last actual backup is from a couple months ago. But another thing I don't quite understand is that even though that message comes up, a couples minutes later my iPhone's summary says the last backup was the current time like it actually DID back it up. So my question is if the error message says that it can't be synced then why does it show that it actually did backup? Please help because I really would like to get rid of this problem so I could backup and sync to update to iOS7.Try TS1389: iTunes repeatedly prompts to authorize computer to play iTunes Store purchases.

Just brought home very first iPhone (5S).
Already had iTunes installed on PC. When connected, iTunes sees PC but then says "The iPhone XXXXX could not be synced because the connection to the iPhone was reset."
What does this mean, and does anyone know how to fix it?I am having this same problem. I too, already had a version of iTunes on my computer (win7 os). I had just purchased my iPhone 5S and was syncing it for the 1st time. While attempting to sync, I was adding music & and a couple of apps. Shortly after I began syncing, iTunes started to update to version 11.1.4.62. I have not been able to sync and receive the message "The iPhone XXXXX could not be synced because the connection to the iPhone was reset.". I have tried many of the suggestions people have offered on this site. Nothing has worked. Everything possible on my phone has been reset.

I have an iPhone 5 and have upgraded from IOS 6 to IOS 7. IOS 7 has been great unitl I just started getting the following error:
"The iphone could not be synced because connection to the iphone was reset"
I get this error, when I plug my phone in my mac. After getting the error, the iphone does not connect to itunes, so the phone will not Sync with Itunes and will not charge.

there is no support solution coming at all from Apple even though various individuals report the exact same or simlar problem here, including myself on Apple-sponsored community blogs.
Well, I took this problem into my own hands and was able to simply resolve the matter on my own, (I think):
Under System Preferences / General / Reset....
* "Reset All Settings" (first at the top in the list on that page).
That seems to have resolved my issue with this nagging problem.

At least so far I seem to not be getting this problem. You will still keep all your data but it will reset your system's settings (i.e., multiple keyboard selection, et el).

Try the Boot Camp Assistant when you are in OS X and download those and follow the directions in BCA utility.

I have a lock rotation next ti my battery on my iPad 2 and it won't change from landscape and I tried to reset it but nothing and I tried from lock rotation to mute but nothing and I don't no what to do now. Can u help me plz?
With Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to 'Lock Rotation' have you then moved the switch on the right-hand side of the iPad above the volume control 'off' ?
Or with the switch set to control 'notification mute' you should be able to unlock rotation via the far left of the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. I purchased an audiobook in Nov 2012 using iPhone 4S and then upgraded to iPhone 5 in Dec. Now I am not seeing the audio book in purchase history in iTunes. This means I am not able to get the book in my new iPhone. Please help.
Audiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store. I was syncing everything to itunes and I tried to do my contacts, not knowing quite how. I ended up erasing all of them from my phone without any of them syncing to my computer or itunes. Is there any way I can get them back? I really need them all.
There are lots of ideas floating on the web for this particular issue - all of which I tried. I had the same problem and it turned out to be my USB cable. I thought the cable was fine as it would charge my phone and play but the data transfer pin was bent. I replaced the cable and it fixed the problem. Worth a shot as it is an easy fix!

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not downloading properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the entry, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.
(Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.) -
