My IPhone 5 will not automatically pair with my 2008 Range Rover

I've had every generation of iPhone and I have never had any issues when it come to pairing it with my Range Rover. It seems I have to manually re-pair the phone to the stereo every time I re enter car. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Hi there Huskerscott!
I have some information here that can help you troubleshoot this issue:
Unable to automatically connect to Wi-Fi
Avoid giving your Wi-Fi network a common name.
Some wireless routers are preconfigured with a common SSID (network name) such as "wireless" or "default."
If your desired Wi-Fi network has a common SSID, try changing the SSID to something unique2.
If your desired Wi-Fi network has a unique SSID, reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Note: This will reset all network settings including: previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords, recently used Bluetooth accessories, VPN and APN settings.
Which is taken from this article:

It also may be helpful to follow these settings, which are optimal for use with iOS and OS X devices:

  • TS1398 After leaving a wi-fi connection my iphone will not automatically connect to the internet via the 3G network unless I turn it off and then on again. Is there a setting that can be changed to overcome this issue?

After leaving a wi-fi connection my iphone will not automatically connect to the internet using a mobile 3G network unless I turn my phone off and then back on again. Is there a setting that can be changed to overcome this?

Then I'm at a loss. Mine has switched automatically from the start, favoring Wi-Fi, any of its registered networks, whenever available. Only thing I can think of is trying a Force Restart and see if that clears things up: hold down Home and Sleep till the screen goes black and a white Apple logo pops up. Release and allow it to restart.
May be similar, when I got the i5 about 16 months ago, the local carrier was starting to roll out 4G service. The phone would regularly lose all carrier connection, voice and data. Haphazardly would reconnect when it felt like it afterwards. Initially did the Off/On dance to speed things up, but discovered that using Airplane Mode would do the same without the lengthier power cycle. After awhile, the carrier 'fessed they were having capacity issues and later the problem went away. So yours too may also be a carrier issue.

  • My iPhone will not automatically backup to iCloud after iOS7 install

My iPhone 5 will not automatically backup to icloud anymore now that iOS7 has been installed. Steps I have tried so far...
Installed iOS7 through Software Update - relazed three days later that the phone was not backing up
    Did a manual backup
    Erased the entire phone
    Restored from iCloud backup
    Then reset all phone settings
Signed out of iCloud, deleted all data and then signed back in
Is anyone else having this issue after updating to iOS7?

my dear friend i have like your problem before and when i see alot of solution i find the one it work with me and
    come autmatic again
    take the solution:
Note that a manual backup also factors into the automatic backup schedule, meaning the next automatic backup will not occur until  48 hours later.
Actually the iCloud backup process sounds a bit more complicated than it actually is in practical use. You can’t schedule iCloud backups manually, but you don’t need to do so as iOS takes care of this for you, and it’s designed to be pretty transparent.
Once enabled, iCloud backups will run automatically whenever the following conditions are met:
    Your device is powered on,
Your device is connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi,
Your device is connected to a power source,
Your device has the screen locked (i.e. turned off), and
It has been at least 24 hours since the last successful backup occurred.
In other words, your device may not be backed up to iCloud at the same time every day, but once 24 hours has elapsed the iPhone will make a backup as soon as it is plugged in and on Wi-Fi with the screen off. For example, if your iPhone backs up to iCloud at 10:00 pm tonight, but you don’t plug it in while on a Wi-Fi connection until midnight tomorrow night, the next backup will occur at midnight—basically as soon as you plug it in—and future backups will continue to run at midnight on subsequent days as long as the iPhone is plugged in, connected to Wi-Fi, and has the screen off at that time. If you’re working an irregular schedule and coming home at different hours, this may gradually push the backups to later at night, but the backup won’t be skipped if you miss the time window—it will still occur as soon as possible once all of the other conditions are met.
This does of course mean that sometimes backups can get pushed to the point where they may be delayed until the next night; come home at 10 a.m. on a Sunday morning and plug in your iPhone and that’s when your next backup will occur, but if you leave for work on Monday morning at 9:00 am and your phone isn’t plugged in and on Wi-Fi while at work, you won’t get another automatic backup until you get home and plug it in later that night.
You can check the time of the last successful iCloud backup by going into the Settings app on your iPhone and choosing Storage & Backup from the iCloud section.
You can also tap the “Back Up Now” button from this screen to create a manual iCloud backup at any time. To create a manual iCloud backup, your iPhone only needs to be on Wi-Fi, it does not need to be plugged in or have the screen off.
Note that a manual backup also factors into the automatic backup schedule, meaning the next automatic backup will not occur until  48 hours later.
This can be one method for adjusting to a specific backup time if you really feel the need to, but it’s largely unnecessary as iOS should naturally settle into a standard backup routine as long as your iPhone is regularly plugged in and on Wi-Fi for at least a few hours each day, such as while you’re sleeping.
As one last note, it’s also worth keeping in mind that the iPhone only needs to be connected to power with the screen off to start an iCloud backup; once the automatic backup has started, it will continue as long as the iPhone remains on a Wi-Fi connection, even if you unplug the iPhone or begin using it.

  • TS3992 My iphone will not back up with iCloud. it keeps popping up a push notification telling me that i do not have enough storage available for the back up. but in my settings and storage it tells me i have 2.8 GB of 5 GB free space, help!?

My iphone 4s will not back up with iCloud. it tells me i dont have enough iCloud storage available, that i can manage my storage in my settings, when i click the settings it tells me i have 2.8 GB free space out of 5 GB. i dont know what to do about this problem. it hasnt been backed up in 3 weeks. and if i still have icloud space avaliable on my phone i do not need to purchase more. i have very few aps backed up on my icloud. i do not understand this help me please

Go to Settings>General>Usage and see how much space is available on your phone (listed at the very top).  The pop-up might be telling you that you don't have enough space on your phone to perform the backup, not that you don't have enough space in your iCloud acount to store the backup.

  • Iphone 4 will not bluetooth pair with 2011kia sorento

i just purchased my iphone4 and i have a 2011 kia sorento lx.   i can not get the phone to pair to the sorento's bluetooth system.   does anyone have any solutions on getting this to work?
    Thanks...

Many people have reported this issue - including me. This is what worked for me...
Open Control Panel and remove all Bluetooth connections.
Turn on Bluetooth in Control Panel
Tap the ⓘ next to all the listed devices, either within range or not.
    Tap "Forget thie Device
Do a reset of your device.
Simultaneously press and hold the Home and Power buttons on your iPhone. Do not release them until you see the Apple logo.
Don't worry, this will not affect your apps or data.
Try to reconnect the bluetooth device. Repeat the previous procedure a couple of times if unsuccessful. I needed to do this 2 or 3 times before it stuck.
Also, for future reference, a seach of the forums will turn up answers to common problems. You should always go that route before posting yet another thread about a topic that has already been solved.

  • My iphone will no longer pair with my blue ant st3 bluetooth

We just upgraded an ipone 3 to an iphone5 and it will not pair with our blueant st3 bluetooth. My iphone4 is paired with my other blueant st3 and works fine. If I go into settings on my iphone4 and selett bluetooth it tells me the device is not compatiable and asks if i want to forget the device, after I reboot the iphone4, all is well. My iphone4 is running V6.0.1 and the iphone5 is running V6.1. Any suggestions?

  • Thunderbolt will not stay paired with vehicle hands free.

    Hello all.
I can't keep my thunderbolt paired with my vehicle's hands free feature.  It keeps connecting and disconnecting on it's own.  I've contacted the chevy dealer to see if there's a software upgrade for my car though I just bought my 2011 chevy cruze.  My old env2 paired and worked fine.  Hopefully this is just a glitch that gets resolved quickly.
I've seen many other posts on various forums with other people having the same problem with the thunderbolt.  I've yet to see a solution which is why I thought I'd post on here.

Its very frustrating to have Bluetooth pairing issues. I checked on the Kia website and the Incredible 2 is not listed as a compatible phone with their vehicles. Click here for their website to check phone compatibility. You may want to check with your dealership to see if they will be updating their vehicles with newer devices.
    Thank you

  • Droid Incredible 2 will not stay paired with 2011 Kia Optima

My  Droid incredible 2 will not consistently stay paired with my 2011 Kia Optima Bluetooth.  Usually, the Kia will connect with the phone and media audio for a few seconds and then the phone disconnects with the media audio staying connected.  Also, when I do get the phone to connect to the Kia Optima, the car bluetooth cannot use the phone contact list to make calls and I I have to speak the phone numbers.  Any suggestions as to what I need to do?

  • Reminders on iCloud, my iPad mini, MacAir, and Mac mini all sync well.  However my iPhone will not sync Reminders with iCloud.  It appears to be setup identically to the iPad??

Reminders syncs well with my iPad mini, MacAir, and Mac mini.  However my iPhone 5 Reminders does not.  Items I enter on one of the devices show-up on iCloud and the other devices except for my iPhone 5.  Vice versa if I enter a new item on my iPhone it does not show up on the other devices or iCloud.  Essentially the same things happens when I complete an item.  When I review how iCloud and Reminders is setup on the iPad and iPhone it appears to be the same.
    Charles

First check that all your settings are correct, that reminders syncing (calendars on a computer) is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the reminders you are adding are added to your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone'  or other non iCloud account (you can do this by checking in accounts on an iOS device by tapping the icon with three lines in the top left corner of the screen, or the right side panel by clicking on the small triangle to the right of the word 'Reminders' in iCal on a computer), non iCloud reminders will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your reminders are in the iCloud group, you might try unchecking reminders syncing (calendars syncing on a computer) in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling reminders syncing.

  • Iphone will not update properly with 7.0.3

I updated my phone and now it is stuck on the rescue email screen.  It will not go any further and I can't access the phone.  It won't let me back out of it either, as it won't accept the do this later option when setting up the inane security questions.  And, of course, I can't get any help from iphone without paying 20.00 for their mistakes.  Is this Apple or Microsoft, and why in the world would I not go to Samsung at this point?

    Do you have a question?
    Just having a tantrum?

  • IPhone will not sync photos with iPhoto 8

When I sync the iphone I get this error message: "The iPhone '[user]'s iPhone' cannot be synced. The required file cannot be found." Everything except photos are transferred from the mac to the iphone. Photos on the iphone camera roll are transferred to iPhoto, but nothing comes back. I have tried erasing, restoring, starting as new iphone, etc. but nothing helps.
    Anyone have any ideas?

Well, I tried all the suggestions you all made. Nothing helped. Then, while helping my sleepy little boy go potty, the phone slipped out of my pocket and straight into the loo.
Oh well... Now the solution is just academic for me.
    Thanks to all.

  • My Iphone 5 will not automatically connect to my wireless network

Each time I want to connect my home wireless, I need to go into settings and manually connect,  rather than automatic connection, which is what happened with my i4s.  How can I change this?

I downloaded and installed the latest software for the iPhone 5 (Version 6.1.3) - the version originally installed was 6.1.2.  Same problem exists - iPhone will not automatically connect to my home WiFi.  Even after I select my network and it connects.  If I turn WiFi off and then back on again, it will not automatically connect.  The iPhone screen states "Known networks will be joined automatically.  If no known networks are available, you will have to manually select a network."  How do I get the iPhone to work as specified above?  Thanks.
