My iPhone 5 will not charge or turn on while holding the home / sleep buttons.
My phone won't charge, have tried the wall and the computer. I tried holding the home button and the sleep button at the same time and got nothing except the battery with the bolt telling me to charge.
You should try to use a different cord to charge the phone, if this is solves the issue you can call AppleCare and if your phone is under warranty they will replace the defective cord.
If you try a different cord and this does not solve the issue, you may need to contact AppleCare and get a replacement phone. If there is no physical/accidental damage done to the phone and the phone is under warrany you will receive the replacement phone for free. !

My Iphone 3G has suddenly decided to never turn on again. I have had the phone for about five months now, and it is in great condition. The phone died, and it will not charge, and it will not turn on. Nothing happens at all. I have read where people have had problems with their phone turning on and showing a screen with an Apple image on it. This isn't the case with mine.
Any feedback?have you tried resetting it with the on/off button and homescreen button? hold them both down until the apple logo appears. not sure how long you hold them down for, 30 sec maybe.

My iphone 4s stopped taking a charge, I've tried working chargers which I tested on other iphones to make sure they are good working units and they worked fine on other phones but would not charge my own. I tried holding the home and power button down while it was plugged in and even gently cleaned out the lint and dust particles from the connectors. The phone will not turn on and it never says it's charging? Because of this I resorted to using my old iPhone 4 and now, just this past weekend, it has done the same exact thing and will not charge nor turn on. Has anyone had a similar issue or know a fix or do my batteries need replaced?
Yes, I have tried multiple chargers! Before the 4s stopped taking a charge it was kind of gradual where it showed it was charging on the screen with the battery and lightning bolt icon but it would sit like that for hours and never turn on even when I held the power and home button at the same time to hard boot it. Eventually the charging icon stopped coming on and hasn't since and neither phone will turn on or even show any signs of charging.

02 days and m without my phone
My phone showed battery low sign when 10% was remaining. I put my phone on charging, it was showing charging sign and for a few minutes it showed USB sign ISO charging signal but very strange it was not actually charging as the battery was still running out. In few minutes my battery went to 1% and then my phone switched off and did not come back to life after that.
I tried Hard reset/ several different chargers/ restoring from I tunes but there is no response.
All it shows is a battery low sign and when I put it on charging, it only shows charging signal but do not actually charge as there is no change in the battery status. It shows the same red bar.....

You should check your original post. I responded to that one and you have asked the same question again. Stay with a single post and do not duplicate posts. It makes it difficult for users that are responding to you for you to try and do what they ask.
First try a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone should restart. This could take up to 20 seconds if the phone has been unresponsive.

Hi, new to the forum, looking for some help with this issue I have. My iPhone 4s was working just fine this morning, the alarm went off, I sent a few texts, browsed the internet and then left it alone for around an hour on lock screen. When I came back, the phone was unresponsive, a complete black screen with no indication of life to present. I have tried holding the home button down for 10, 20, 30+ seconds at each times, and still not response. I have plugged it into my computer while on iTunes, and that also has no results.
Another problem which is have, is that the Sleep/Lock button does not work either and has for some time, I have had to resort to using the touch assistance from the settings for turning off and plugging into to charge to switch on, so I cannot use the button to hard-reset the phone.
My phone warranty has ran out and the nearest apple store is over two and a half hours away, hopefully someone can guide me in the right direction on how to fix this matter, thank you.I had this problem too before. There are two things you can try to resolve the issue. The first is to plug your iPhone chord into your computer that's running iTunes (don't plug in the iPhone yet). Now since you said it isn't showing up in iTunes if possible use a different computer. Next what you have to do is plug in your phone while holding the home button and it should come on. If that doesn't work then what I did was put my phone in the freezer for 10 minutes (yes sounds crazy) and it came on. If none of these things work then you can find many programs on the internet that can help boot up your phone.

My iPhone 4 will not turn on, when I plug it into my computer and load up iTunes its in recovery mode and the only option is to restore my device to factory settings, I have no back up of my phone I've also tried the home/sleep button thing but nothing, I have literally done every method I was told, I checked for water damage and that's fine. I don't want to restore my phone or buy a new one or pay for repairs because that's wasting money when it could be a simple way to fix it. And yes, I've also tried charging it and turning it in. That does happen. It depends on how hard the server is being hit, as well as the connection speed of your system. If you are on a windows system, you will want to disable any antivirus or firewall software during the download.

Have you turned your phone completely off and back on? Also, you could try a Reset by holding both the Sleep Key and the Home Key down until about 15 seconds have passed.

My ipod touch will not charge or turn on. I think the battery went dead, but now it won't even turn on or charge. My computer does not even recognize that it is plugged in. I have tried to charge it on other devices and get the same result. Can anyone help?

Plug it into the computer for about 15 minutes.
If it starts to turn on after about 15 minutes then unplug it.
As it is turning on hold down BOTH THE POWER AND THE HOME BUTTON on the itouch for 15 seconds, or until it flashes white or just turns back off.
Then RELESE THE POWER BUTTON BUT STILL HOLD DOWN THE HOME BUTTON.
Then plug it back in.
The computer should reconise your ipod. -

Try charging from a USB charger if available.
If that does not help, try another USB cable if available.

I've had my 3GS for three days and actually activated it yesterday. I let the battery run down, so that I could charge it as I do for all rechargable electronics I own. However, this time, my iPhone will not come back on. It has the charging bolt but does not gain any charge, so far as I can tell. I've tried three different cords, three car chargers, six different outlets, my laptop, and my Xbox 360 and none of them can produce a result. I know I'm not the only person with this problem. What's going on and how do I fix this? And for any "go to an Apple store" responses, the nearest is nearly 2 hours away so it's not exactly a viable option.

Me too. And I just noticed a newer post saying the same thing. Actually, my phone will show up as charging from the USB port -- but it will not sync. At all. Not just the itunes -- not calendar... nothing. The wireless sync for email seems to work, but the hard sync and iTunes don't show up at all.
