My iphone 5 won't sync to itunes because it needs more GB, but I have enough space? what do i do?
Hi i need some help... I am trying to sync my iphone 5 to my itunes. I did all the updates and it still tells me this when I try to sync it...
"The iPhone “iPhone” cannot be synced because there is not enough free space to hold all of the selected items (additional 1.76 GB required)."
I have 6.37 GB free though. I am only trying to add ten songs. Any help will be appreicated!
Ran into this same problem. This is the second time this has happened. Once with my ipod that I had to trick my Mac into recognizing and now this with my iPhone. Congrats Apple, you've now converted me to a Microsoft user, and I feel oh so very dirty about it, but at this point you're just pulling the same tricks. Good to know.

Ever since updating to new OS, my iphone won't sync to itunes. When I plug in the phone to the PC, dialog box says I need to update itunes to 10.6.3 or later. I did that update, but still get the same error message.
Can anyone offer suggestions?

iPhone won't sync with iTunes. It just says, "waiting for sync to start." But no matter how long I leave it like that, it never syncs. Wirelessly or via USB. I have restarted both my computer and my phone. I have deleted and reinstalled iTunes. I have installed the latest version of iTunes and the software on my phone is up to date. Nothing seems to work.

Is synching over wi-fi viable? I've never done it, but when I tried something similar back in the old Palm PDA days, it was S-L-O-W, slow as molasses. I realize that the i-device are far more modern with faster processors, but wondering whether it's even worth exploring doing this.

Did you check your secuirty software settings? iTuens needs to contact Apple during the sync process.
Also try to remove all Apple related software and reinstall iTunes after that. Removing iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista and 7 -

When i first synced my iphone it synced around 3000 photo's. It now wont ley me sync my phone at all as i need the new ios version but because of the photo's i dont have enough space but i cant delete the photo's because my phone wont sync. HELP PLEASE!!
Use iPhone as designed. Like any digital camera, download your photos to your computer and delete from the iPhone to create space required for iOS upgrade.

Because you can only synce with one iTunes library and you are switching libries by using the new computer. To nake this yyour syncing computer:
- Move all the media(apps, music, synced video and photos etc) to the new computer.
- Connect the iPofd yo the computer and bake a backup fo the iPod by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
- Restore the iPod from that backup.
Note that the backup that iTunes makes doe not include media.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem: I a trying to download a paid app but I cannot because the AppStore says that info not have enough space to download it even though I have more than enough space so if any of you know what can solve this problem then please let me know
The app is compressed and needs swap space to install. As a rule of thumb you need 3 times the listed size of the app available, or in your case 4.6GB. You only have 1.7GB.
