My iphone 5 wont let me slide to access password area.
I was using my iphone 5 and sat it down for half hour. Went to open it but when i slide to access password screen it just goes black with Apple symbol. I have not entered the wrong password as i cant even get to that stage. Please HELP!
First, try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data by resetting.
If this does not help, set it up as new device, explained here:

If still no luck, get it checked by visiting an Authorized Apple Service Provider or contact Apple Support to get it serviced:

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

You can create a new Apple ID without using a credit card for download free apps by following this guide: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2534. Follow it exactly as writtien. Note that you have to download and try to install a free app and then create the ID.

I just recently purchased 3 songs from itunes not knowing that I had no money on my debit card (visa) left. There seems to be a billing problem with the iTS. I've been trying to make purchases today (Dec 9th) too and it reports either the iTS can not process payments or it says my card was declined. I even changed the payment method to Paypal (which is never declined) and still no go.
I don't think it is "you" but a problem at Apple. Some popular new apps were released recently like Logic Pro and perhaps they're getting bombarded as they did when Lion was released.

I suspect the error message you saw earlier said something like "the maximum number of free iCloud accounts have already been created" or something similar, which is often associated with a 403 error.
When you get that message it means that three iCloud accounts have already been created on your device and you cannot create another one. This often happens when you purchase a used device and the previous owner already used up all of the alloted iCloud accounts on it. When this happens, all you can do is either re-use one of the accounts previously created or create a new account on another iOS device or Mac when you have one. -

I was researching the issue you are having and recommend a couple of things. First it might be a good idea to reset the device following iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting found here http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't quite get the device going again, I recommend restoring the device.

Might even be a good idea to turn off the phone, reseat the SIM card, and turn it back on.
