My iPhone 5c screen isnt sensing my touch!!

I woke up tis morning, and like always the first thing I do is go on my phone, when I press the home button and my phone lock screen pops up I try sliding my finger where it says "slide to unlock" and it wasn't sensing my finger so then I tried sliding my notifications on the screen and it still wasn't sensing my touch. If I hold the home button down Siri still works and everything its just the touch screen that's messed up. I need HELP! As soon as possible!!

Try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Appel logo comes back again. You will not lose data by resetting.
If this does not help, setting it up as new device would be the next step:

  • My iphone 3gs' screen stopped responding to touch in a crucial places on my phone, about how much would it cost to replace it at the apple store?

My iPhone has fallen out of my pocket a million times and always been fine, no cracks just a few scraches on the back. This morning, it fell out and I assumed the usual had happened. However, I went to type on the open message and the screen wasn't responding on parts of the keyboard. So, I thought maybe it was just a small issue; I turned my phone off then back on. When it turned back on I couldn't even unlock it because the screen wasn't responding and the first number of my passcode was in an unresponsive spot. An elder friend of mine told me all I needed was to replace the screen and that he could do it, if I bought the screen. My question is, would it be cheaper to buy the screen and have my friend do it, or would Apple give me a better deal?
Note: I've had it for a year and four months. I do not know ANYTHING about the warrantty and such because my aunt takes care of it for me because I'm only seventeen.

Out of warranty replacement is $149

  • My iphone 5 screen is black but touch works and i can screenshot but screen is still black after restore what should I do?

and i can screenshot but screen is still black after restore what should I do, could it be a loose cable in the phone under the metal shield?

    Hello Dopeslayer242,
Thank you for providing the details of the issue you are experiencing with your iPhone.  I would be concerned too if I only saw a black screen.
I recommend following steps 2-6 below for an issue like this:
If a single application is not responding or stops responding when it opens, you can force it to close.
If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on),reset your device.
If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
Let charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.
If the screen displays a red battery icon, continue charging the device until the battery is fully charged.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:
Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane. Learn more about restoring iOS software.
If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try to force the device into recovery mode, and then restore it.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact Apple.

  • How to get water out of my iPhone 5 screen?

I got caught in heavy rain and now there looks like there's water under my iPhone 5 screen. Now the touch screen doesn't actually work properly but the apps and stuff seem to be working fine. Is my phone ruined or will it just dry out and be okay? Can I get the water out?

Get a bag of uncooked white rice. Put the phone in it and leave for a few days. The rice might absorb the moisture.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • My Iphone 4 has a section of the screen not responding to touch - it's where i have to enter my pincode so won't unlock - what can I do?

Hi I have a strip across the middle of my Iphone 4 screen that is not repsonding to touch at all.  One minute it was working the next it wasn't.  It's right across where I need to input my pincode to unlock, so I can;t do anything with the phone at all. I've tried soft resetting it etc but no joy.  What else can I do - phone is only 6 or 7 weeks old

well recomend to see if ur iPhone is under warranty.. but sounds like a hareware issue! you can try it but i dont think it would work but to see if its a software issue put device it Recover mode or known has DFU mode an force restore (you will lose all content on the iPhone) an install 6.1.3 fresh on it but to me sounds like a LCD & Digitizer problem might need a new Assembly...

  • What is the temperature limit of the finger to work on iPhone touchscreen? I'm asking this, because I've noticed that when my finger gets too warm (about 104oF) the screen of my iPhone 5 doesn't recognize its touch. Thank you.

What is the temperature limit of the finger to work on iPhone touchscreen? I'm asking this, because I've noticed that when my finger gets too warm (about 104oF) the screen of my iPhone 5 doesn't recognize its touch. Thank you.

I understood. Emphasizing that this is still a guess, when you touch the screen it compares your fingerprint at that time to the one you originally recorded. The fact that the finger is warmer may have a small effect on the fingerprint making it appear different than the original colder one. Temperature differences cause things to expand and contract and that may be having an effect on the comparison. You could try recording a fingerprint after doing what you are doing and then see if it will be recognized when you do the same thing to log into the phone. I know that prior to iOS 7.1 for a few minutes after I would wash my hands the phone had difficulty recognizing the fingerprint. Don't know if it was temperature or moisture that caused the temporary change induced by the hand washing. That improved with version 7.1 I think.

What does it cost to replace my shattered IPhone 5 screen and the touch sensor under the glass?

It is not clear to me how far along this implementation has gonein the US and worldwide, but this seems to describe where it is going:

  • Iphone 4s screen icons jumping around like you are touching the home button. Acts as if someone is opening apps. Any suggestions?

Iphone 4s screen icons jumping around like you are touching the home button. Acts as if someone is opening apps. Any suggestions?

You didn't, but you are about the 4th person today who has done this. It just wastes my time, and yours, and gets frustrating after awhile.
I do believe you have a screen/logicboard issue and while you can try Restoring it from backup in iTunes, and then as a new iPhone if that doesn't work, I don't believe it will help.

  • My touch screen isnt working. There is definitly something wrong thats out of my power. Its a ipod 3g 8gb. How much will it cost to get it fix at a local itunes store

My touch screen isnt working. There is definitly something wrong thats out of my power. Its a ipod 3g 8gb. How much will it cost to get it fix at a local itunes store. i really need to know

First if your iPod is 8gb it is not a 3g. It's probably a 2g.
Apple will replace your iPod for $99. This is a complete replacement not a repair. This won't be done at an Apple store.
    See: http://support.apple.com/kb/index?page=servicefaq&geo=United_States&product=ipod
There are third party repair shops that might be able to do a repair. Google search for them.
