My iPhone 5C went completely dark then had a red screen
So about a half hour ago, I had my iPhone 5C and tried turning it back on (it was fully charged) and nothing happened. So, we tried bringing it into recovery mode by holding down the power and home button for a while. The iPhone's screen just turned red for a while. Then, it went dark again, and upon trying to start it, the apple logo appeared, but it had these strange flickering vertical lines through it. The phone went dark again, and alternated between completely shut off and the flickering apple logo for a little while, and now it's completely dark. What should I do now?

My iphone 3 has completely frozen. Facebook and other apps were not loading properly so I deleted facebook and went to the apps store and reloaded. It was still loading and then my phone just froze - I turned it off and then tried to turn it back on and all I am getting is the apple logo in the middle of the phone and rather stupidly I have never synched it!! I know what an idiot!!! I have tried calling vodafone but not surprise they are closed for technical help at this time of night.

Why does the screen turn black? I was using it normally and it all of a sudden faded to black and hasnt come back on since yesterday. You can see the back light but no image on the screen. Ive plugged it in and it vibrates that its connected but still the screen stays black. I left it alone while I slept and tried again in the morning but still nothing.

Safari crashes several times while on pinterest, screen goes black then goes to home screen when I start safari again it keeps doing the same thing. I checked the diagnostics page and there are several references stating low memory yet when I check the memory on the iPad there is plenty of memory help please
The memory that is low is the processor memory, not the overall storage space. Next time, before you go to that site, double tap the home button to see the task bar. You will see the list of apps siting in the recently used list. Most of them are not doing anything, but some of them are using up memory. Touch and hold any one of them until they jiggle, then close them all off by touching the minus sign.
Do that every so often to help the pad use it's memory wisely.
Some apps, and browser pages use a lot of memory, and do not give it back easily, causing what sis happening to you.
You can also get a similar result by rebooting. Press and hold the home and sleep buttons until the apple logo appears, ignore the red slider. -

my iPhone 6 is "stuck" mid restore. cannot access anything. phone screen indicates I need to connect to iTunes. when I connect, I tunes tells me it cannot restore the device and gives several different error messages. any help resolving would be much appreciated.
I had the same thing happen to my phone, I called tech support and nothing they did could fix the device over the phone. I ended up having to bring it to a store to get fixed.

I had the same error, I took it in to a local repair shop and they had to disconnect the battery to shut it down, I was told it's an error with iOS 7.0.4 and I should not use my phone till apple releases the fix for the white screen, in the next OS update.
They have run tests on my phone and there is no hardware fault they could find.
None of my buttons worked when the white screen appeared so I couldn't restart either. So wait for the battery to die or pop in somewhere they can disconnect the battery, I hope this helps. -
I was updating my iPod touch 4g to the ios6 and it told me to hook it up to the iTunes and so I did. After doing that the computer told me to restore I tried and it didn't work. My ipod then was Turing on and off displaying the apple icon then my screen turned white with rainbow colors going down the screen then at some point my ipod had a multi colored blue screen. The screen was no longer blue after I let it die. Plz help I can't find any solutions.
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. -
Safari cannot open the page because the server cannot be found, what is? keeps coming up on my IPAD!
It may be the on-line newspaper server went off-line because of power failure or other problems.
If other sites are working no problem --- if your internet carrier is off-line (happen to me during hurricane Sandy - I had power, my internet company didn't so no internet until it did>) -

I Left my Iphone on charge when I got home and went to use my phone it had a red screen, no idea what caused it or what if any underlaying problem the phone may have. Any one know anything about a red screen???????
There are four general causes of this issue:
1. The computer's PRAM no longer contains a valid startup disk setting when there aren't any problems with the disk itself. This can be checked for by pressing the Option key and seeing if the drive appears.
2. The internal drive's directory structure has become damaged. This requires usage of an alternate bootable system to perform the repair.
3. Critical system files have been deleted. This requires usage of an alternate bootable system to reinstall them.
4. The internal drive has died or become unplugged. This is the most likely case if the computer took a sharp impact or there are unusual sounds coming from the hard drive's location.

My ipad went blank last night for no apparent reason. It was on one minute, and then completely dark. I didn't touch it, it just seemed to have died. I tried turning it back on/off, but nothing happens. Anyone else have a similar situation?
Thansk for the reply King_Penguin...let me elaborate and see what you think...I had the ipad2 in the office and saw the battery was getting really low. I tried charging it with the iphone charger (connects to my pc at work). It took a while, but it got enough juice in the ipad2 to bring it back to life. when I got home, I hooked it up, and got to about 50%. All was fine, then I was attempting to hook it up to my TV with the AV adapter (or VGA adapter, whatever it is), left the ipad alone for a minute, came back to it, and that's when it went dark. I tried the home/sleep buttons, but only for about 5 seconds...any other suggestions in case that doesn't work? Thanks again...

i tried to turn off the voice over thing on my iphone and now the screen is completely dark i don't know what to do now...help! ima go crazy without out my phone
ok so this is what i did i finally got it to work...so i taped the black screen with 3 fingers and then it went back to normal and it ****** me off because i had tryed that already so when it goes back to normal even if the voice over is still on it is easy to turn it off if you follow the steps....lol i googled how to turn off voice over so google it
