Why is my iPhone 5s camera photo mode turns into black & white. How do I fix it?

You may have the Black & White filter applied.
Apply a filter: (iPhone 4s or later) Tap to apply different color effects, such as black & white. To turn off a filter, tap , then tap None. You can also apply a filter later, when you edit the photo. See Edit photos and trim videos.

Follow the steps in the article below to put your iPhone into recovery mode and then you should be able to restore your iPhone. If you have a back up you can put your back up to get your data back after it completes it restore process.

Linked Images turn into black boxes in Internet Explorer 7

Hi. In my website I have images that are links to other
pages, they look fine in Safari and Firefox but in Internet
Explorer, they turn into black boxes but at least they do link into

If your photo stream is off on your iPhone will the photos still go into the iCloud

i share the icloud with my family and i wanted to know if your photo stream is off on your phone will the photos still go into the icloud?
i've never had the photo stream on before and then i deleted my phone off the icloud? Does any of my things stay in the icloud?

HV20 Camcorder Camera/Record Mode shows intermittent black & white fuzzy screen

I rarely use this camcorder since owning it and most of the time it's stored in its camcorder bag until the next big special event (e.g. a wedding). It is very well taken care of and looks like new. One day I took it out to check on and playing back recorded videos on the minidv tapes were fine, clear and perfect. However, once I switch the mode to Camera/Recording mode, the screen changes to a fuzzy black & white screen, then fades into another black & white screen, then fades into a perfect color screen, and then back to fuzzy black & white screen again. The screen continually cycles like this nonstop. I tried recording a random video (see attached youtube video link: http://youtu.be/akR8OGsIEaY) to see if playing it back would be perfect and the playback video was exactly what I recorded... fuzzy black & white screen intermittently changing in and out. I again left the camcorder in storage until today when I wanted to use it for a wedding tomorrow. I searched for troubleshooting help and many people seem to suggest a head cleaner. I found one from RadioShack and ran it through the camcorder but the Camera/Record mode is still the same. What is wrong with my camcorder? I take really good care of it and rarely use it. Do I need to send it in for repair? If so, what are the steps and process for doing so? Thank you in advance.

It may be time to send the camera in, or maybe put it to rest and think of upgrading. I only use my HV30 as an AV/DV converter now, and haved moved on to an HFM40, I bought one here at Canon, refurbed, great camera, great price.
I'll watch this thread, though, for updates. There is another forum, though, dedicated to the HV20-30-40. You might find some very interesting things there, and answers. I won't post the link here, but if you Google HV20-30-40, you'll find it.

Excel tables turn into black boxes when put into PDF

I'm working in Framemaker 8 and when I try to turn the document into a PDF, any excel table in the document turns into a black box. Is there any way to fix this?!

Add the following to your CSS

Also, externalize your CSS.
Put all your CSS rules (currently all rules are pasted separately into the <head> of every webpage) into a single external stylesheet e.g. dubzz.css.
Then delete all the CSS rules in the <head> of every page and link every page to that stylesheet (dubzz.css) and upload everything.
That way, you only have to maintain your CSS rules for the entire website from one tiny file. Then upload and every page will be instantly up to date.

I can't escape my iPhone 4s camera pan mode

I've tried everything, shutting down, closing the app, pressing anything on the screen that I can see. I've searched the internet.
I can't escape it to take a plain old picture!
Can anybody help me? I'm visually impaired, and that makes seeing the icons difficult. The solution may be right in front of my eyes, but I don't see it. If someone can point it out, I'll be able to find it.

You have both been helpful! Is "square" the default mode for taking photos? I've managed to get there by swiping...but I don't recall past pics being square...?

IPhone 5s - Camera Photos in Black and White

I have a new iPhone 5s and for some reason, when I click on Camera to take a photo, on the main photo it comes out as black and white rather than colour. If I switch to Square I get colour, but on switching back to ordinary photo, it goes back to black and white again.
Anybody have any ideas about this? I also have an iPhone 6 and checked on this, but when I open the Camera app I get colour too.
Both phones are running the latest version - iOS 8.1.2.

Your black and white filter is probably on. When taking a picture, in the bottom right, there are three circles overlapping. Click on that and chose "none".

IPhoto '11 won't automatically startup and import my iphone 4 camera photos

I bought a new Macbook Pro 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7, and was able to import the pictures from my iphone 4 automaticallyto iPhoto. Now 2 months later, iPhoto won't startup or import any of the photos taken on my phone, but it syncs my music, tones, apps, etc. What can i do to import my photos again?

Have you looked at the iPhoto Preferences in the General tab for what to do when a camera is connected?

if the camera stays black when trying to use it in any application it is likely a hardware issue at that point because the aperture on the camera isn't opening. the only way to is that is by actually having the iPhone repaired through an apple store or through contacting apple support and going through a mail in repair.
if the iPhone is out of warranty though there would be a cost to have it repaired and it may end up being cheaper to take it to a third party to have them repair or replace just the camera.

First, try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data by resetting.
If this does not help, set it up as new device, explained here:

You can't do anything to get service in your country by Apple, the warranty is only valid in the country where the phone has been bought.
If you can't bring it back to the USA, you'll have to get it checked by an experienced 3rd party repair shop, but this will void the warranty, and Apple will not service the device anymore, even if you want to pay for it.

30,000 photos has turned into 118,000 after importing from ext hd

When I upgraded from iPhoto 9 to iPhoto 11 I lost all my tags, faces,locations, titles, etc. I restored the library from an ext HD which had most of the "old" data. It has morphed into eight or ten face photos of the same person/same shot. As you might expect, this has slowed down everything on my computer. Is there an easy way to banish the dups?

Yes. The trick is +never import an iPhoto Library to another one+. To update a library simply open it with the new version. So redo that restore and just open the Library with 11.

Why can't i download iPhone or camera photos in mavericks

Look under Aperture's preferences, Import, to see what is selected:
And, many digital won't show up in your Finder unless they're configured that way through the use of the camera's setup system.
