My iPhone 5S freezes after canceling a call

Dear Apple Team;
I had an issue in my Apple iPhone 5s (updated with the latest software 7.1.7)
when i press on power button 2 times (to cancel the call) my iPhone freezes and refuses any touch attepmt, i have 3 options to do:
1. Force restart
2. swap the camera up to make any changes done
3. make someone call me to brake the freeze
i though that my phone was bad or used or anthing, but today my colleague (he has a 4s phone) just asked me about that issue !!!
i told him YES it freezes to (he shoked as i am because he though what i thought too, that his iphone 4s is to old)
anyway please check & advice what to do in that issue.

Restarting your iOS device
1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
2. After the device has turned off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Resetting your device
If your device stops responding, you can reset it by pressing and holding both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If the above does not resolve your issue, the next best step will be to restore your iPhone using a computer with iTunes. Please be sure to backup your iPhone first.

There isn't much more to say other than that. As soon as I installed the 4.2 update my phone now freezes after every call. It stays frozen for hours, right now it's been frozen over 12 hours (screen is even still lit up). I'm tired of completely restoring my phone after every phone call!!!

really apple is the responsable.
we are honest users, and we need a real answer.
No reset the phone many tiemes, or change the phone.
The problem is sorftware and internal politics in apple.
no more dirty play ...
other companies lets that a user continue with her device, by 5 or more years.
an spencive device need to be by more time.

Passport screen freezes after a long call

Hello,
I've got my PassPort since fall october.
Although I am quite happy with it, I have noticed that after a long call, say 15min or more, the screen becomes slowly responsive. It doesn't fully freeze, though it is very slow to bring back the unlock screen. After unlocking the screen, the device behave nearly as expected although I have also noticed that the keyboard doesn't light. And if it locks again, it stays slowly responsive until I unlock the screen. To bring back the normal behavior there is nothing to do but restarting the device.
OS is : 10.3.0.1418
Radio is : 10.3.0.1419
Device is full encrypted as well as the SD card.
I've got very few third party apps, say Whatsapp, BBM meeting, radio.fr, beta zone, device switch.
I've removed everything on the device and did a clean, full install with link but I still experienced the same issue.
Any idea ?

Thanks for replying. No, I did no test without any third party apps. I'd prefer not being forced to uninstall WhatsApp because I'm using it a lot ... I was using it in the past with BB OS 7 and had no issue so far. However I saw a lot of threads dealing with screen freezing after calling but none of them mentionning issue with WhatsApp. Do you have any link about this?

IPhone 5 freezes after upgrading to iOS7

I've updated my iPhone 5 64Gb from 6.1.4 to iOS 7 yesterday via Wi-Fi. And after that upgrade the iPhone started to freeze randomly. Sometimes after opening notification center, sometimes after opening control center or settings, sometimes it reboots itself. But it constantly freezes after idling for 10-15 minutes. I've got a black screen and no reaction on any buttons and touchscreen, only soft reset helps (power+home for 10 seconds). I tried to restore it with my mac and itunes but not succeeded. I also tried to reset settings from iPhone but that also didn't help.
Any ideas except downgrading to 6.1.4?

This is pretty much the same thing that's happening to my iPhone 5 32GB. I installed it September 19 and worked flawlessly until today. So far, it's "bricked" itself (turning off) 3 times today and I have to hold power+home to get it to boot.
Seems fairly random. Bricked once while opening notification center, the last time was immediately after I received a text message while in the locked screen.

My iphone is freezing now, almost every time i open an app. Started today.. I updated it a few days ago when ios 7.1.1 was released.

Troubleshooting steps are:
TROUBLESHOOTING
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears then let go.
Backup, reset, restore on icloud or iTunes or restore as new.
Place the phone into recovery mode by doing this
If this fails to fix the problem make an appointment and visit and Apple store or an authorised service provider

After updating to IOS 7.1, Iphone 5S screen freezes on new notifications. Once the notification bar is gone, then the touch gets enabled. The notifications that I am referring to are of WhatsApp messages.

I have the same problem: no notifications from whatsapp. This morning I did a hard reset. It didn't work. I've restored my iphone (4) and I have restored only the contacts and calendar data (I cant lost it). Then I have reinstalled the app. It still doesn't work.
It only works if I have the screen active. Passing two minutes from the phone blocking, the connection in whatsapp get lost and I can't get any notification. When I unblock my phone and open the application once again, it gets connected and then all the messages are retrieved.

IPhone calendar freezes after it opens

Lately the calendar on my iPhone freezes right after I open it. Sometimes it lets me touch the screen once, and then it freezes. The only thing I can do after this is press the home button quickly a few times and it takes me to my favorites. If that doesn't work I turn off the phone. I have version 1.1.4 of the software and have never cracked the phone.
ANY IDEAS?

Standard troubleshooting steps in order for such a problem are; power the iPhone off and on, Reset by pressing and holding the Home button and Sleep/Wake button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release (ignoring the slide to turn off prompt when doing so), Restore.

Iphone 4s freezes after shooting a picture

When I take a photo from the lock screen the iphone goes in a completely frozen status and I need to wait 1/2 minutes to have it back to normal.

I also have this problem, so I am interested in the reply. My phone also freezes when I go into pictures and go to click on the photo album to look through photos instead of taking a photo right away. Sometimes, I have to close the app and restart. I have an iPhone 4s, with OS 7.1.1, and I think this started happening after the 7.1.1 update. It seems like everything slowed down significantly after the 7.1.1 update and apps started not responding and timing out.

IPhone 3GS freezes after 4.3 upgrade

2 days ago I upgraded my iPhone 3GS (factory unlocked) from 4.2.1 to 4.3. After this upgrade, the iPhone freezes and crashes constantly. Sometimes when typing the lock code, when starting any given app, when touching any button, everytime within one minute after restoring. When the phone is working, it gets no network (just WLAN). Provider is Vodafone.
After each crash, a full restore is required (which takes a lot of time), just to work for another minute or so. Using a different SIM card from O2 helps by not crashing, but all 3rd party apps do not work.
Going back to 4.2.1 did not work at all (tried all options), going back to 4.1 did not give me access to my backup.
This situation is a nightmare if you rely on your phone. And it seams I am not the only one having this issue. Just search for "iOS 4.3 3GS crash Vodafone".
When can I expect a patch of iOS 4.3 ?

I am having the same issues with my 3gs. It is constantly crashing whenever i run any apps for more than 3 to 5 minutes. I have reinstalled and backed up everything but it is still having issues.

IPhone 6 freezing after WiFi signal drops

Anyone else having recurring OS freezing and hanging problems after a sudden WiFi signal drop?
The phone seems fine on WiFi for a period of time, sometime hours, sometimes days but then all of a sudden the signal strength drops to one and everything goes crazy. Trying to turnoff WiFi from the control center doesn't have any effect (it looks like it's off but the wifi indicator remains on). If I try an go into the settings app, it comes up as a blank white page and hangs. Sometimes I can go back to the home screen, sometimes not but the phone will freeze up solid or eventually reboot. If it reboots or I do a hard reset the wifi switch is grayed out and can not be enabled.
If I perform another hard reset the wifi switch will sometimes be accessible again but the phone seem unstable. It will reboot randomly or simply freeze up. The last time it froze on the apple boot screen and I had to put the phone into recovery mode to restore it.
I have iOS 8.1.1 installed and have done a dozen hard resets and restored as a new phone from iTunes twice in the past week. It's driving me nuts because the phone just seems unstable.

I have reset the modem everytime this happened. That is why I believe this could be a software problem between iOS 8 or iPhone 6 wifi and the band in which the airport express communicates.
Today I have disabled the airport express and began using the wifi from the HUB of my internet provider. So far no drops on wifi signal no freezing, no crashing. Connectivity seems much faster and clean now. Lets hope it keeps this way.

Acrobat 7 freezes after cancelling the user password prompt

I'm having a problem with Acrobat 7.1 when downloading a password-protected PDF from a website. The problem occurs at the "please enter a document open password" dialog box. If I enter the user password, the PDF opens successfully. However, if I click Cancel instead of entering the password, Acrobat hangs/freezes in the background (visible in the Task Manager) and the CPU spikes to 50%. At that point, opening another PDF freezes Internet Explorer since it's still waiting on the Acrobat process hanging in the background. I've tested on both Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 with the same result. The problem appears to be resolved in Acrobat 9, but unfortunately my users are stuck on Acrobat 7.1 for the time being. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

As Baltwo said, you should have a password set on your computer for secutity reasons. You can set it to automatically log you on if you are the only user when starting up and you don't need to input the password.
What Baltwo was getting to was to make sure nothing was in the field such as a space. Apparantly, it won't let you log into it without a password.
I seem to remember a default password in past systems. I think it was computer. Try typing that in. If it doesn't work, then follow the steps in this article and set a password for your user account.

It sounds like your phone becomes unresponsive when watching video on it for around 24 minutes or so even after reseting safari data, and resetting the phone. I would next quit the running apps on the phone:
iOS: Force an app to close

Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that and restart the phone and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

My iphone 4 (with verizon) is frozen after downloading ios 5.1 and will not reboot. Did anyone else have this problem and if so what is the fix?

try a reset you won't lose any data. hold down the home/power button together until you see the apple logo and then release. wait for the phone to boot back up - see if that helps.
