My iphone 5s is not recognized by Itunes so I cannot sync with my windows 8.1 . my ipod touch will but not my Iphone. do you have a solution?
My IPhone 5S is not recognized on my Itunes so I cannot transfer music from my library to my phone. I use window 8.1 OS. My ipod touch is recognized so the problem is limited to my IPhone 5S. I have tried the solutions offered by Apple support What can I do?
I had a similar problem with my iPhone and fixed it. You might as well give this a try even if your iPod works. This is what I did. (Follow these steps):
1. Make sure your phone is not connected/plugged to your computer then continue on step 2.
(For some reason, apparently iTunes also get installed to iPhone's which makes it sort of faulty.)
2. By going to your computer's Control Panel - Uninstall itunes. To completely uninstall itunes you need to uninstall 5 programs in this very sequence. (You have to make sure you follow this in order.)

Bonjour
Apple Application Support
3. Then simply re-install the latest iTunes. Go tohttp://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ , on the left side of that page you'll see a blue botton that say's "Download Now". Press that button and it should allow you to make sure that you've downloaded the latest iTunes.
4. Once you've reinstalled it go ahead and start iTunes and connect/plug your iPhone to your computer. iTunes should now be able to recognise your iPhone.
5. If it still does not work try unplugging your Iphone again, restart your computer and connect your Iphone once more. See it your computer recognises your device.
Steps 1-4 worked out real well for me so I hope it does for you too. If still a no no why not try and contact apple themselves they should be able to give help.

Thank you for your suggestions but I still have the problem. The Iphone 5S is not recognized and I have deleted Kaspersky off my computer (and still have not put it back on yet). I still do not see the Apple Mobile Service USB Driver listed. I had done this process previously (several times) but went through it all again in your order just in case I missed something. I am wondering if there is a way to go back to the previous version of ITunes in case it was the ITunes update causing me the problems. I do not think I can blame it on Kaspersky since it is not on my computer now and I have the same problem.
I also notice that the Iphone is not listed in my devices in Windows 7 - not sure if it was before or is suppose to be for sure - but just noting it is not. I tried the option to add devices but Windows does not find the Iphone 5S. Just thought I would add that information in case that should lead to a solution. Again thanks for your time - would appreciate any other suggestions. I don't think you can use Apple Support without paying money so would like to find help from someone else having the problems. I think it is odd so many people are having problems with their phone being recognized or sometimes just it syncing - and various steps have helped others (like uninstalling and re-installing). My IPOD Touch initially had a white screen. I tried correcting this by restoring default settings via ITunes. The Restore Failed with error 1602 and now the IPOD touch is completely dead. It will not power on or respond when I plug it into my PC via USB. I get an error on my PC stating that device attached to USB port is not recognizable. Can anyone help?

Why won't iTunes 11.0.1 sync my Podcasts to my 3rd Gen iPod Touch on IOS 6.0.1? I'm running iTunes on my MacBook with Mac OSX 10.6.8. I've checked to make sure in iTunes that the Podcast Sync box is checked and it is. I've tried checking communities and tried several suggestions and nothing seems to work for me. Everything else syncs except Podcasts. I can't figure it out. Any suggestions to get Podcasts syncing to my iPod Touch again? Thanks!
One other step I've tried was removing and completely reinstalling the playlist to the iPod. That cleared up the problem for about two days.

You can plug the iPod into the same iTunes library as your iPod Touch and sync whatever content you like to it. There is no limilt to the number of iPads, iPhones, or iPods you can sync with one iTunes library, account, or computer. How you sync one device will not affect the syncing preferences of the other.

Since a few days ago I am unable to sync my iphone 5s with itunes on Macbook pro.
As soon as I open itunes, it hangs. it doesn't give me the opportunity to disable or enable the syncing, it hangs immediately. I have also tried removing itunes from Mac to re-install, but it does allow me to remove itiunes as "OSx requires itunes".Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select

I just tried to update iTunes to version 11.1.4 on my Windows Desktop, which is normally not a problem.
However, halfway through the download, the following message pops up:-
"iTunes.exe - Unable to Locate Component. This application has failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem"
I have uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled it, however the message is the same.

Or you can take it to an Apple store to see an expert.
1) Deinstall and reinstall itunes on the computer.
2) On the ipad, Press and Hold the Home and Wake Sleep buttons until the Apple Logo appears.
3) If that doesn't work, try a reset, To reset go to Settings, General, Reset, Reset. -

For what crazy reason did you purchase an iPhone in the US if you live in Greece? If your phone needs servicing, it will have to be brought back to the US. You cannot get that phone serviced in Greece. -

I have tried different cables, restarted the mobile thing, uninstalled and reinstalled itunes, it is only on my laptop that has Windows 8. My dekstop with Windows 7 is fine will recognize them. Close your iTunes
Click the Windows Start button
In the "SEARCH" box, type in SERVICES
In the Program Section of the search result, Click "Services"
Select "Apple Mobile Device" and click the "STOP the service"
After the services has stopped, Click "START the service"
After the Apple Mobile services has started again, open iTunes and connect the device. -

I have Iphones since they cam out buy IO7 on my iphone 4 is slow and frustrating. I sync itunes with sync window. I tried cable and wireless. I have enough space. If I have a playlist say with 200 songs it will say on itunes sync window syncing 200 songs however I only get 150 songs on my iphone. I have restored iphone twice, I have tried playlists and smart play lists. It seems not to sync the same songs all the time. Prior to IO7 in sinced all my songs. I see on the chats that this is a big problem. Do you have any solutions. the songs that dont sync are the same format as those that do.

I have Itunes set up to sync with my Ipod touch and Ipad. As of today, iTunes has started searching to sync with an iPhone, which I don't have and pops open with an error message stating it cannot locate the iPhone to sync. I have looked in devices and only the iPad and iPod Touch are listed. Any ideas on how to stop iTunes from searching for any iPhone it is never going to find? They would only be where you put them. What program did you use to import them? Pics/vids taken with ipod are not part of the sync process at all. You should be importing them just as you would with any digital camera.
If you did not import them, then they are not on your computer.
