My iphone 5s is now a brick, i lost all my data with upgrading ios8.0.0 and ios8.01
i upgraded from ios7.1.2 to ios 8.0.0 and my wifi stoped working, it worked only few seconds in 1 minute, and my other apps start to lagg and couldn chat on them, so i was really happy when i saw new ios8.0.1 and started downloading it and tryed to install it but then all went wrong. so i lost all my data and i cant get it back, because when i try to restore my data from itunes it says restoring was incompleate... what can i do now?
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)
If this doesn't change anything, backup and restore your software via iTunes. If the problem continues, restore as a NEW device. If this solves it, that means there is some corruption in your backup file, or maybe it's one of your apps causing the trouble. If the problem is still there, you should take it to the Genius Bar at an Apple Store for evaluation.

You should ahve been syncing the contacts with your computer all along. Just sync them to the new one.
Everything should be on your computer as you should have been syncing.
If you failed to sync everything with your computer, then you can try restoring from the last backup.

i have update and restore my wife iphone to 7.0.4 and i lost all the data what to do now? all contacts and kids photos goooone , we have the same apple ID and when i tried to restore from i cloude , i restored my contacts not her???!!!!!
Looks like you restored your backup file to her phone. If you didn't back up your wife's phone first, then the data is gone, sorry.

If no change after restoring the iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the backup, there is a hardware problem.

Your content will only be where you put it. It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
You can transfer itunes purchases from your iphone: File>Device>Transfer purchases.
You can import your pics taken with the iphone as you would with any digital camera.
You can e-mail the other pics to yourself, they will never be of the original quality.
You can out a unique contact and calendar entry on the computer. You should get the option to merge the data when you sync. -
I don't know how to go back to the original look of my Dashboard. I don't know what I did, but now when I click on it, my Words with Friends game comes up and that is all. How do I "reset" it to the original things on it?

My macbook pro recently got swiped and I lost all my data, problem is, just before it was swiped I set up my new iphone 5 which transferred all my photos and music over which is no longer on the computer. What will happen to my phone if I plug it in?
I never used icloud before so there is no data to back up from. I just spoke to the apple store and they said that if I do plug it in, all the data will be swiped....is there a program I can use to transfer my data from my phone to computer without loosing it all ???

I cant seem to download and install the latest iphone software update. I have tried since the release and have been unsuccessful on more than 7 occasions and lost all the data on the process. Anyone have that problem an how do I fix this problem?

Thanks but I have tried doing the above - when I said 7 times I was modest, its more like 15 times.
And I am referring to the 5.1 software update. I dont have wifi so I guess I will have to try that seeing that my husband also has the same problem - he has also tried downloading several times. It always times out en says that the connection is lost but yet there are always an internet connection and a decent signal once it stopped. Think it said error 32052 or something!
I am disappointed because the update includes inprovement on the battery life - did you guys notice any difference? -
I got the new iPhone 5C. In my cellular settings, under "Use cellular data for", it only show passbook and facetime. How can I add other apps? Also, my carrier is AT&T

You should be able to see two different tabs when setting up the email if you go to Other > Add Mail Account. Once you enter in the email address and password, you should be at the next screen to provide more details about the email as far as incoming and outgoing servers and at the top there will be a blue section to add it in as a POP or IMAP email account. Connect phone to computer.
Select Restore.
Tell iTunes which of the available backup files to use, let iTunes restore it.

You might profit from a visit to a Minneapolis Apple store. With a brand new Mac, I think they will be most helpful - not just with transferring files, but with other advice as well. And I strongly recommend you invest in a back up drive. The Apple folk can help with that as well.

Log-in Issue after 10.6.7 update

Safari quits or freezes randomly
